My mother and I have been banking here for years. The tellers are always friendly and professional. Even after weve been away for a while, people like Meddy always remember us and make us feel welcome. All services are fast and convenient.

A good credit union, great rates and low/no fees. All my customer service experiences with them have been positive. I love their updated mobile app, especially the mobile deposits.

Please update your hours with Google Maps, which lists 9 to 5. I arrived at 9:10 am only to find that this branch doesn’t open until 10.

Judging by the fully visible bad reviews, it makes me wonder what people think decent modern service should be. After banking with two of the Big 4 for many years, coming to Patelco was a breath of fresh air. Yes, parking is difficult at the Berkeley branch; the same would be true for any bank in downtown Berkeley. I always manage so my reaction is: Thanks for the warning, Ill allow myself a little more time. My personal service experience with Patelco has been terrific. Friendly, accomodating and reasonably quick, it is so far superior to the corporate monsters that their occadional imperfections are comparatively minor bumps in the road.

I have had numerous accounts with institutions like Bof A, wells fargo, mechanics and they have all either ripped me off with BS fees or high rates or both in the case of BofA.Patelco has never once done me wrong to my knowledge. Their phone app for Android was dated and a bit of a pain in regard to check deposits initially but is good now. Highly recommend that you give them a try.

I love this Credit Union! I am always treated so well when I come into this branch by everyone who works there. Aliza always helps me personally and is the one who got me set up with my account. She is super knowledgeable and always takes the time to make sure I understand everything. Jeff helped me get a car loan and has always been super considerate and sweet regarding my financial situation. Meddy is also great and makes me feel very welcomed and like a valued customer! Love this place!

Customer service is fine but always slow. The online banking is useless. The balances are often misleading and even when it shows an available balance and a cleared automatic payment days later it returns payment and charges you an insufficient fee.Also many inconvenient things cause you to need to be there in person.Not easy or convenient.

I cant sing Tashas praises enough. She was a wealth of information as I set up my savings account. Wonderful people to deal with at Berkeleys Branch.Amit was helpful as well when he greeted as the teller. I cant believe he remembered me after just my second visit!Good people. Good interest rates. Good bank.

Light your money on fire before using these liars and thieves

This credit union has great mobile deposit unlike Cooperative Federal Credit Union down the street, which I was a member of for years (and still have biz account there, since Patelco does not offer yet- please offer Patelco!), but they stalled and still continue to not offer mobile deposit. Patelco won my business and Ive been more than happy. They also have a great money market account that actually makes really good interest.

They cant do the job right asked for money transfer for down payment for a house thats being purchased and its still has not been transferred waste of time!!! Patelco get it together before you start losing customers ..Its 2020 wake up and get the job done...

Twice I have spent about an hour on hold waiting to speak to somebody on the phone. Seems this bank doesnt make customer service a priority.

I absolutely hate coming here because of all the stress you have to go through just to get into the branch. Parking is terrible here I literally drove around 30-40min & couldn’t find a park. I ended up having to drive to the Berkeley police station (if your familiar with the area) to PAY for parking & walk all the way up just to make a cash deposit. With all that time I could’ve drove to the San Leandro branch & been back to Berkeley by then.P.s. usually you can double park for a min to use the machines outside but both their machines were not accepting cash deposits. Imagine had I showed up during closed hours & drove out to the Berkeley branch for nothing. Next time leave a note outside the machine instead of wasting more of your customers time.

I have been a member since 1970, I am seventy four years old, I went to Patelco Credit Union on Shattuck in Downtown Berkeley, Ca. I have never felt so disrepected and appalled. From the manager down to the asst. m,anager to the tdellers, were very rude to me tried to make me look very stupid like I didnt have any brain.! I have been a member for almost forty years.!! I have been a membor before some of them been born. This is how they treat thier long time member?Very angry!!Deloris Smith

Amazing! Everyone that works there were so nice to me and answered all my questions, they were patient with me and replied calmly even though i was a bit annoying. (I asked the same questions differently.) 😆 counted all my coins for me without giving me the 😒 hahaha love this place! 😊 all smiles there! And the main reason why i switched to this bank was because of the things i can do with this bank. EVERYTHING I DO IS FREE... for atm use, its 6 transactions a month but if you go inside, its Totally Free! Do anything inside, As many times as you wish. How awesome is that!? The wait isnt that long either!

I found them VERY difficult to deal with. Good thing I didnt close the account at my old bank.
