I have been with 1st United for years. I have one concern. The branch in Berkeley California on Milvia street has only one ATM. I had to make a deposit over a week ago but the ATM was out of service. I am a 70 year old senior citizen using public transportation. I need to go today but there is no direct line for me to call to enquire as to whether the ATM is operational.

Everything seems simple and easy; the staff is always ready to rescue you even if you dont ask for help. But because theyre so attentive to everyone who stepped in, they notice immediately when you need help without you saying anything. I love going there.

I appreciated how polite and patient the staff was.Applying at other CUs in the bay can feel like a swindle where the bank tries to trick you into signing away your rights and giving up as much of your personal info as possible. That did not happen at 1st United, and I am grateful that such places still exist.
