I had a great experience at this salon. As a first-timer with this place and not super knowledgeable about getting highlights or hair in general, I was so thrilled when I got exactly what I was picturing.I called the day before and got an appointment easily. The whole process took about 3 hours, broken down as follows:~1 hour: bleaching~1 hour: toning. Without this step, my hair was all shades of yellow.~1 hour: rinsing, shampooing, sitting under the dryer, blow out, flat ironService: throughout the process, the hairdresser made sure to ask me if I’m doing okay constantly. The only time I felt pain was during the blowout because it was hot against my scalp. But I also think my scalp was super sensitive because of all the treatments I just put on it since I normally blow dry on high heat at home as well.About my hair: thin, very dark/black, collar bone length (hairdresser quotes you based on your longest length of hair).Price: I was charged $150 for the highlights and an additional $45 for the toning.

Wax is great, she always makes sure I am comfortable and okay. She is always respectful, sweet, addresses my concerns, and never makes me feel rushed. She is beyond down to earth and her prices are so affordable for amazing work. Took about ten minutes for my Brazilian this morning, and she didnt miss a hair! I wasnt in pain the entire time and I am a huge baby when it comes to waxing a lot of the time. No pain, great prices, amazing woman. I couldnt be happier with my experience and HIGHLY recommend coming to her!

She also rents space part time to my favorite stylist and Ive been seeing her for 18 years.Its a small place and the street parking is mostly limited to trap hours and a good lot of that is paid parking, so I strongly recommend the garage. The prices are reasonable and you wont need to move your car of you are getting a longer service done. The walk from the garage is just two blocks and the blocks are not large, so its pretty close.

The lady in the salon that cut my hair gave a terrible haircut. Just because there were a couple of people waiting in line after me, she felt very rushed and very sloppily cut my hair. She was done in a matter of minutes, and she seemed to be in a great hurry to get to her next client. I had to tell her that I did not like the way that it looked and told her specifically what to fix. She seemed a bit put off when I told her this, and she very hurriedly made the adjustment. Even after the adjustment, my hair still looked terrible. I felt it was at a point beyond repair and did not even ask her to fix it again. I ended up paying $15 for the haircut with a $2 tip- a total of $17. For the price, the haircut was not at all worth it. I feel as if I could have done a better job by myself at home. I will not be going to this salon ever again, and I suggest you do not either.I am really waiting for my hair to grow back; I feel ashamed going out in public with my hair the way that it looks.

This place is a must! Ask for SHADIA! She is the best at waxing in the Bay Area hands down. And trust me, Ive been everywhere. She really cares about giving a clean finish with no hair left over and has been doing this for 20 years so consider her the master at it!

I got a great haircut here: no appointment, very cheap, and she was a good listener and gave me exactly what I wanted.

Perhaps OK for a trim but worth avoiding for any more ambitious haircut. They took off next to nothing before declaring my haircut finished. I would have asked for more but cutting inspired so little confidence that I was set on damage limitation by that point. Will have to go to another salon later this week - waste of $20.

Overpriced and does a terrible job. I went to her a few times because her store took cal debit. Shes sloppy and has random strokes and trims eyebrows slanted. Now that it doesnt even take cal debit its not worth it.
