I love love love Karen’s work! So happy with how my hair turned out! I get my extensions done and hair color and let me tell you, Karen does everything amazing! She not only does an amazing job but she cares so much about you leaving and loving it! She also is always growing and furthering her knowledge in doing hair which I love because it shows she really cares about each customer and them leaving happy! I recommend her 120% she goes above and beyond!!!

Very clean and has Covid controls so feel comfortable going there. Ashley as been working on my color which can be difficult since it pulls red! She has come up with a formula that works very well. Yesterday, I brought pictures and she did a great job of listening and giving me the cut that I wanted. Looks great!

Love the hair washing area and bowls! Super there no rubber thing like some have. It was sweet they asked if I wanted coffee or tea! Emma did awesome made my hair feel amazing and with/out having a million products in my hair! She was sweet, kind and personable!!

I made an appointment ahead. The owner was very nice, answered my questions and said she could work with me on a new style. About 2 hours before the appointment I started throwing up so I called to cancel. The person I talked to said I would have to pay 1/2 the charge for the appointment since I was cancelling the same day. I offered to come in sick, but we decided that wasnt a good idea. I received another call a couple of days later wanting my credit card to charge for the, missed appointment. I again explained why I couldnt make it and told her I didnt think I should have to pay. I asked to have the owner call, but havent heard from her. That was last Thursday. Its now Monday. I had never heard of having to pay a charge last minute cancels from the original call to make the appointment. Everyone should be informed of things like that ahead of time.

I can not recommend a better salon than Kaur! Caren and her staff are all professional, and amazing at what they do! I live in Seattle and make the commute up to Bellingham for my hair appointments, absolutely worth it. I have been to several salons in Bellingham and Seattle and none of them come close to what the stylists at Kaur can do! Ashley installed the IBE extensions and I am absolutely in love. Ive done tape ins for a couple years now and let me tell you, these are a game changer! So much easier on my hair and can barely feel them, and they look very natural!

3rd Appointment with Cheryl for Partial highlight.$ 190.00 plus 20 cash TipPricey ...for Partial foil and Toner.One highlight job, Cheryl did Great.Then 2 other appointments had highlight service, hair was too dark and brassy, she acknowledged too dark and wrong color. Breakage in front from too much bleach or improper technique.Cheryl corrected and did redo. Looked fine.Put my faith in Cheryl again, assumed she kept records and would have no repeat problems and valued me as a client. I was wrong. Took photos and sent message within the hour after service. I went in next morning in person to have Cheryl or Owner Caryn look to see what we could correct. Neither of them would even take 2 minutes to look at my hair in salon or come outside to me.Used Covid as excuse. Argumentative and no concern for my time or dissatisfaction. Now, Cheryl and owner Caryn, refuse to credit my card back and will not acknowledge my concerns.I will seek out a professional stylist and get my hair corrected and lightened.I have requested a refund from Kaur. Cheryl refused prior and today left me a voicemail saying no she will not allow me to come in to correct!!I will repost, hoping they demonstrate business ethics and do the right thing. Shocked the owner Caryn, spoke to me so disrespectful and accusatory.Hope this helps another potential client from the Distress and expense and most importantly, have a better Hair experience, and not deal with their lack of Ethics and Honesty.

I have not had my hair or beard trimmed in about 2 years, since my last child was born. I have not had great experience most times Ive had it styled other places. Ally was AWESOME! I actually met her outside of her work and got to talking and was immediately comfortable with her. She had so much knowledge about my type of hair and how to cut it. I made an appointment (which was hassle free) and she did an AMAZING job. I love how she trimmed my beard to match the shape of my face. In addition, she did an excellent job trimming my hair and making it look very healthy and vibrant. I WILL definitely be making future appointments, as well as my fiance. She loved how I looked so much she wants to make an appointment next. Thanks ladies!

My hair is so silky smooth! I had a Brazilian Blowout done by Jessica this past weekend. The process, while a longer service, is pleasant and painless! And wow... the results!! I wish I had taken better before and afters, because the change in my hair is incredible. It didn’t take out my natural curl, but it smoother and controlled them. It has cut my air and blow drying time in half at least, and my hair is shiny without a touch of product in it!Jessica was learning but professional and open to feedback from Caryn, the owner, who supervised every bit of it. I love that she builds people up and opens her salon to those who are learning- that’s the measure of a true professional! I will be back and I highly recommend all of their services, they do it all, from hair to skin!

Caryn is amazing! She made sure I was comfortable through out my brow microblading. I love the shade and shape so far! She made sure to not over do it for my skin which I really appreciate. I can’t wait to see her again for my touch up!

Final hair color looks great. However it took two colorings and a bleach rinse to get it there since the first color didn’t take. price estimate given to me for full color and a haircut was $120-$200. Final total was 175+ tip. Very nice people and the atmosphere is great.

Amazing salon!! Everyone who works there makes you feel right at home. They always offer you hot tea/coffee or water. They use top of the line products for hair and for lashes! You leave with your hair feeling silky smooth and just how you wanted! I always see ‘Cheryl’ for both hair and lashes and she always does a great job with whatever task i put in front of her! She puts you in a very friendly environment and takes her time to get exactly what you want!

OBSESSED..with the Salon. I was visiting from LA and had just recently had my hair highlighted. The color was just off and way to brassy of a blonde for me. I couldnt take it, I had to have it fixed ASAP, I found Kaur Lounge on line, they had a lot of good reviews so I decided to give them a try, with my fingers crossed. Its always scary trying someone new. Anyways, this ended up being more of a color correction.. but it turned out PERFECT! The most amazing creamy beige, vanilla blonde. Im actually so sad that I cant continue to get my hair highlighted there. The thought of traveling back has definitely crossed my mind! Haha

The stylist, Caryn, spent time listening to my concerns. She is highly skilled. I now have the best hair cut ever! The wind blows and it falls back in place without using a brush. Everyone at Kaur Lounge is upbeat and welcoming. The lounge is upscale and spotless. I made my first appointment after seeing a perfect cut on a waitress. I asked where she got her cut and she said people ask her all the time.

I realize its difficult for a new client and hair stylist to click spontaneously and the stylist to do exactly whats asked, but after showing her (new to this salon btw), numerous times, photos and giving descriptions of what I expected, she just seemed distracted and now, 1-1/2 weeks later, I still cant get my hair the way I wanted. Instead of styling it forward it was cut so I can only part it on the side and the bottom curls up because of how its cut. I have used lots of high quality products in my hair, have numerous styling brushes, yet it just falls flat so Im wearing baseball caps and basically just really unhappy with my pricey cut untill I guess Ill have to get it cut short.On another note, it is very difficult for many clients to speak up about our experience because we dont know what the reaction will be and do not want to be embarrassed. Yes, and I tipped because it is Allways expected, and why would I want to come back and have a rerun of another uncomfortable experience?On a high note, upon walking in I was offered water and coffee, and the young woman was very gracious.

I liked getting my hair dyed here. They use Goldwell and it is a great product. My haircut was terrible. I have had 5 months of bad hair days as I grow out the butchered up mullet I was given. I also lost about 6 inches of length when I had to have the sad, thin little tail cut off. I will never go back to Kaur Lounge!One year later on, I am still growing out the very bad haircut. I lost more length to get the chopped up mess to have a more blended look. My current stylist is just perplexed She keeps pointing out to me that I am still missing a chunk of hair on the left side. I know I know!

Chad is great! It’s really pricey so I only go every few months but I love it!

I had the most horrible experience at this salon today. I was asked what my price range was when I arrived during the consult, I said $200..then the upselling started like I had never said anything.I was urged to spend almost $100 more on my cut and colour. I was clear that wasnt happening.We agreed on a number and proceeded. I had to keep checking to see what she was doing to my hair was included in the price wed agreed on.I was kept in the chair a total of 6 HOURS! The place was cold so I froze... for 6 hours. I wasnt even offered a magazine during that time.I got a great hair cut from an attentive stylist but the colour was not what Id wanted after all of that . This was ignored and I was basically told it WAS what I wanted. Amazing! I had come prepared and had pictures of hairstyles with the colours I wanted, I referred to them often, there was no room for ambiguity!Perhaps she was distracted because she was doing someone elses colour at the same time?No apology was made for the excessively long wait Id endured and no one acknowledged at all why I was annoyed. Not only were no ammends offered but they took a tacky opportunity to try to sell me product I had already refused TWICE when I finally got to the cash. I hate being treated like a dollar sign.The total was $30 more than I had agreed to and I had had enough of it all at this point. I refused to pay the extra. I was treated like a criminal and asked to keep waiting some MORE while the owner was called about the matter. After 5 minutes of actually waiting because I am a decent person and wanted to resolve the issue, I lost all patience. I paid the amount I had agreed on, foolishly tipped my hairdresser (who WAS a nice person) and left, disgusted and enraged..They left a message on my phone demanding payment for the extra $30 they decided to add and made some pretty unsavoury threats.. Unbelievable.The customer service there is aggressively non-existent. Do yourself a favour and avoid this salon.
