Weve been looking for a place for our father and over the past month or more and thought Edgewood Point would be the prefect place. Unfortunately, in the end, by no fault of their own, they could not provide some of the specific care that my father needed, so we will need to look elsewhere. Nonetheless, I wanted to let folks know that the customer services we received from Matt was excellent. He communicated regularly, was very personable, and made sure we had the info we needed to help us find a home for our father. We never felt that we were being given a sales job, etc. When it was determined that this wouldnt work out for our father, he provided a list of other possibilities to help make our search going forward easier.

My husband & I were very excited and looking forward to our intake interview yesterday. My Husband had spoke to I believe his name was Matt last Thursday , he told my husband that yes they did take medicaide & they currently have only two on that wait list , so he set up an appointment for us to come in, he said that he was very busy on Friday & Monday but could meet with us on Tuesday at 1:00pm, he explained that we would first meet with him he’d give us a tour & then we’d meet with the nurse.When we arrived on Tuesday we got there @ 12:45 pm, we told the guy that we had a 1:00 appointment With Matt, he then said just a minute when he came back we were told that Matt no longer worked there we met with a lady who was just filling in for now & she!s from Glad stone , she directed all questions to my husband & not me. But when we mentioned how sympathetic he was to the abuse I currently receive at the facility I’m at, & that would never be tolirated at there facility . But when I mentioned my medicaide case worker & APS want me out ASAP she asked if Matt new I was on medicaide, I said yes he said they took Medicaid & only had 2 on wait list. .She imidiately said I’m not going to waist your tiine, she said medicaide will pay after you have exhausted all your funds, I told her that I’ve been in a facility for 41/2 years & Medicaid has already been paying, I don’t have any money to pay out of pocket. She said we can’t help you. & we have a long wait list She couldnt tell us where we might try or go. . She just showed us to the door. We were out of there by 1:05I was very excited about this facility , now I’m disappointed . She couldn’t even help me , nor did she want to help me. .So I’m just disappointed ,we got mixed communication , one said they can take me with nedicaide , & she said No they don’t she didn’t even care about me or my situation. I feel like she didn’t want me because I look young. I don’t know what the reason was but why would someone who’s been wiith your alf for a while tell me that you take medicaide when you dont. .This lady was not very warm or sympathetic .I read such wonerfer reviews about the management here, so to be treated do different & poorly just really hurt me.I’m back to square one starting my search all over again

If I could give no stars and just the review I would. This is absolutely disappointing going into the assisted living rooms. I saw BM on the wall in the bathroom and a client almost getting hit in the face with a hover lift. I will be reporting this...

I will start by saying that this review is just for my customer service experience over the phone with the sales/admin person for this corporation. I called here to see if they had any openings for my Grampa. Although they were not the right type of facility for him based on their level of care, the sales/admin guy I spoke to was incredibly professional, had impressive job knowledge, and stayed on the phone to share several helpful details about locating the right type of facility. He answered all of my questions and provided me with a few referrals. He was kind, caring, professional and really impressed me. I typically find that people in these roles just answering the phone can be rude or come off as lazy so I was really impressed after this experience.

It was an eye opener. It is so beautiful and the staff are so friendly and caring. It felt like being in a palace. My current living place is night and Edgewood point is day. I tell everyone to go there. Im telling staff to go there and work. Id reccomend it for anyone who is searching for an assisted living.

Employees get treated badly. i would not recommend this dumb.

Hawthorn is a joke as well as the regional over this building. The residents are not cared for and all the company cares about is the bottom line. The run skeleton crews and make their leadership team work non stop.

I think the staff at Edgewood Point are amazing. The building just had a remodel and is beautiful.

Jennifer, the administrator for this facility, is the most unprofessional and off putting person Ive ever seen in a management role.
