She is definitely not a sweetheart, she makes you feel like everything that is happening to you when it comes to your sickness is your fault. Besides, she talks more about herself than YOU ( the patient)I waited 3 months to see her, just for her to tell me that she cant give me a proper diagnosis. Terrible

Knowing Dr. Ionica it’s impossible to believe in bad reviews. She is the most knowledgeable, caring Person and Endocrinologist I’ve ever met. I was seeing 4 other doctors for 6 past years and they didn’t give me so much informations about my adrenal insufficiency through those years as she did during one visit. This informations were essential for better quality of my life and they can also save my life! It’s hard to find a good doctor now- but this is the one!! Thank you Dr. Ionica!

THIS IS FROM ALYSON BRUU: One of the rarest of the rare! SHE called ME to see how I was feeling! What doctor does that? She is aggressive in a good way; digging deep for a proper diagnosis. Youd be fortunate to have her in your health-corner. Highly recommend

During my pregnancy in 2015 I sought the care of Dr Ionica after I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes. I instantly liked her. She enlightened me to the severity of the situation and my baby but also was extremely compassionate. I always felt that we were in it together. I trust her tremendously. I am currently under her care for a thyroid disorder. She is very straight forward but always realistic. I always feel like my well being is the main priority. I wish more doctors were as real as she is!

I have found Dr. Ionica to be a very effective endocrinologist, managing both my diabetes and my thyroid disease. She isnt particularly warm and fuzzy -- not cold, but direct and to the point...exactly what I needed to dramatically reduce my A1C and bring my thyroid levels under control in preparation for bariatric surgery. She was specifically recommended by my cardiologist for her no-nonsense approach. I should also add that her practice is very well run by a warm and responsive staff. I have never waited more than a couple of hours for a call back when I had a question or needed a medication renewal. All in all, a fine physician and practice that I can wholeheartedly recommend.

It seems Dr. Ionica just wants to get through her day without answering patient questions. Cares about numbers only, not other side effects going on in the body. Talks above you, not to you. So hard to find a good caring Endocrinologist.

Have been seeing Dr Ionica for type II Diabetes for over 5 years now. She is no nonsense in that she expects you to understand the importance of keeping your blood sugars tracked and under control. Importantly she pays attention to the facts she needs to know about you as a patient and she goes out of her way to work around any problems you may have with medication combinations. She is leaps and bounds better than my former endocrinologist in Commack.

Doctor is rude and has made my fiance stressed out and numbers go up. Speaks down to him. Compares a 30 year old to an 18 year old and tells him hes not doing a good job supporting his family. We will never be going back. Should not be in this field! If I could rate a 0 I would.
