Honestly save yourself the headache from going here. They have been my primary doctor for years. Every single time without fail I would sit in the waiting room AT LEAST 2 hrs to be seen. I went for my annual this year because they called me in November telling me it was due. The day before my appointment, they said they tried calling me, because the office was going to be closed so they can’t keep the appointment, and they left me messages. WHICH IS A COMPLETE AND UTTER LIE. I told them I didn’t receive any messages, and they’re like well that’s why we’re reaching out to you. Ok. Well I rescheduled. I finally went for my annual and AT THE TIME OF APPOINTMENT... they tell me they no longer accept my insurance. Meanwhile I had spoken to them 3-4 times in the past month, and they failed to see what insurance I had? Like come on! Where the professionalism and customer service. I drove all the way there for nothing, and I needed a form signed for my job, so I had to go running around looking for a new PCP. Honestly they probably did me a favor. I absolutely hate this office, even if they ever start accepting my insurance again, I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK. Another thing is They change doctors and nurse practitioners like a habit... and I’ve overheard their nurses complaining about working there... I’m not surprised. What a horrible place! If I could give this office ZERO stars I WOULD! The doctor herself is actually really nice and courteous and caring. Which is a shame she has such awful staff working for her.

Very cozy, gives a traditional hometown Physician environment. Also the group of people are professional and timely. They also follow-up with you.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Selgrads for over 20yrs. She is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. She takes the time to communicate with you in order to treat your chief complaint. Always very professional and caring. Her long-time office staff is exceptional, kind and diligent. Your care matters within her practice.

This office has a very rude unfriendly front desk/ reception. I walk away from nearly all of those encounters very very frustrated. Ive also had some significant billing issues with them. Im finding a new primary care doctor. Trust the one star reviews here

I went there for years. Honestly I don’t know why I went back every year for my physical. The ladies at the front desk are not nice. They dont greet patients, if you call they always give you a bad actitud. Forget about having an appointment, the last time I was there I waited 1 hour and 30 min for the doctor, I had to leave and they didn’t even care. The doctor is always rushing talking to patients.

The doctor is wonderful, kind sweet knowledgeable. Her staff is awful! Her PA inappropriate. Her receptionist who is not a nurse refused to call in prescription for my mother stating the insurance wont pay for it anyway. Dr Selgrad needs a new staff.

I’ve been going to this office for years, They are always very nice very comforting, will work with your schedule I will never change Doctors! I love Dr Selgrade and everyone in this office.

Dr. Selgrad is excellent!Ive been a patient for about 2 years. She was recommended to me by a co-worker.She is knowledgeable. She is compassionate. She takes her time and really listens to you.If something is off (say your Triglycerides are too high) she takes a wait and see approach. Shell give you 2-3 months to get it under control (diet and exercise) before writing a prescription.Some physicians are very quick to write a prescription. Dr. Selgrad seems more interested in encouraging a healthier lifestyle rather than just treating the one problem (high cholesterol, high blood pressure) through medication.The receptionists and nurses here are all excellent. Very professional. Courteous. Friendly. Easy to talk to.The ladies that do vitals, draw blood, etc are highly skilled. Ive had blood drawn several times and Ive never had a problem. No pain during. No major bruising after.They accept all major insurance (I believe). Cigna, United Healthcare, etc. They accept credit cards. (A nice perk since many practices are accepting cash only for the co-pay these days.)Appointments can be a little hard to get sometimes. You may need to book 3-4 weeks in advance. Longer if you need a very specific time of day / day of the week. If your schedule is flexible youll probably get an appointment within a week or two.The practice is a bit old school. Its Dr. Selgrad, her PA, a nurse, a receptionist, and a bookkeeper. Not huge. Not 5-6 physicians plus 3-4 nurses, etc. My opinion - it feels nice. It feels a bit more personal. Youre not seeing a different physician each time you come. Dr. Selgrad gets to know you and as a result you feel more at ease.Because it is a smaller practice they lack some of the new technology. You cannot text or e-mail them. You need to call during office hours. Its a small price to pay for the personalized attention you receive.The office itself is conveniently located on Sunrise Highway in Bay Shore. Very easy to get to.As I mentioned, they draw blood for testing on-site -- and typically call with results in 2-3 days. (Some practices will send you to a lab which I think is inconvenient and unnecessary.) This is much, much better.She definitely gets two thumbs up from me!! :-)

Nice staff, good doctor & PA. They dont make you feel rushed like other medical practices.
