Every time I go to another LA fitness or ESporta out of the state, it humbles me so much. This is the most organized and CLEAN facility I have ever been in!Thanks to Kevin and Megan! I mean they are on their knees cleaning base boards on the ceiling cleaning vents! I’ve NEVER walked into this facility and it wasn’t clean!

I really enjoy this gym. Clean, bright, and not too loud like many gyms are. Everyone seems to mind their own business, so its easy to keep to myself and exercise. I definitely cant say the same for the location at Perkins Rowe but the Siegen location is just what I need.

Love this gym. Group classes, racquetball courts (that you can reserve), an entire 2nd floor of Cardio Equipment, lap pool, hot tub, basketball court, all the weight machines imaginable and a brand new astroturfed crossfit-ish area with ropes, tires, sleds, etc. Great layout. Reasonable pricing. Personalized coaching available. Highly Recommend!

Terrible experience trying to simply cancel a membership. Staff told us different things to do and did not know how to explain how. poor customer service need someone present when open to be able to cancel a membership.

Everything looks good however the hot tub is broken and it looks like its been that way for several months this is a LA Fitness- eSporta issue I have been in clubs from NJ, PA and now LA they just cant keep up with their hot tubs I know one in PA that took almost a year to get working and it didnt really work that well

I just got a membership here a week ago. The staff is very friendly and I love the environment of the place. I was on the stairmaster and my airpod fell out and went inside of the stairmaster! I told the lady at the front desk and she helped get someone very quickly. Thanks to Joey he was able to get out for me. I’m looking forward to continuing my fitness journey here.

Ebony that sits at the desk has a nasty attitude and is very confrontational. I visit this gym frequently on a buddy pass and no one has ever gave me an issue at the door. She has very poor customer service skills and should be removed from guest services.

Love the yoga morning classes. I love the pool and whirlpool to soak my injured foot after a workout. Always clean facility.

The gym is nice, itself is a great environment for a great workout. A lot of equipment and amenities such as a lap pool, hot tub, showers and even a sauna (sauna closed right now due to covid).The reason its not a 5 star simply is the hours of operation. I know its a small thing considering this is a huge gym and what not. But it closes at 9 9r 10 depending on the day. And up to 6 on Sundays. I know most people wont workout past these times anyway but I know a lot who do and its the only reason they havent chosen this gym.Maybe if it were 24 hours but thats something more to consider.

What a great gym. Jamal is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and always encourages working harder. The personal trainers are also very nice and somebody you can talk to. The building is very spaced out and has a lot of different equipment which is great when you want to workout quickly. There’s always something to do there even if what you want to do is taken. They even have a pool and sauna. Overall a great gym and wonderful workers there.

Open real early, its got a sauna hot tub pool laps.

Visited the new facility off Siegen Lane, it is wonderful. Great place to work out, go to yoga or a multitude of other classes. They even have a heated pool and a sauna.The employees are nice and very helpful. This was a great choice for us, you should check it out!

Masks while working out??? Seriously. Get a grip and stand up for something. It’s impossible to breathe properly in these stupid things. I’ll be dropping my membership.

Yes. There is basketball, yoga, racquetball, hot tub, swimming, pool and workout areas. But, this is quite the busy gym. And I dont mean on a social scale. Although like any other gym there is a social level of communication and outlook it is not a place that you can socialize if you are one of those types of people of course. Although the possibility is there its simply does not happen too much. It is definitely a place to go and work out but there are so many people it is at times quite difficult. Very clean. Showers are available. If youre into going into the sauna that is also available. It is not co-ed. There is one for the females inside their locker room and one for the males in theirs.

I have never been to a place of business that tries as hard as these guy do to make you find another gym. I’ve been to this place three times now to get a membership. Each time the salesman work themselves out of a sell... The front desk lady sucks just as bad... I’ll stick to the Y and planet fitness

I loved the facilities at LA fitness, I really did. I wanted to go to improve my Health and possibly sign up for a membership today (I was signed in as a guest by my friend because I usually go to Planet Fitness but I was planning on switching) but I noticed that there are staff members (even Managers) not wearing their masks. One girl in particular, not sure what her name is maybe Lacy? Mary? I’m not sure but she has black hair and is kind of short, was coughing up a storm and saying she felt numb?? If I get COVID-19 for trying to keep up my Health I will be very upset. I live with immunocompromised people. They could die. I will not be returning to this no mask nasty gym.

Nice facility but their sales tactics are not honest or upfront. There are hidden fees in the contract, such as annual fees that vary from $35-55, that are in addition to the monthly membership. Also, even if you pay the $99 initiation fee they still charge you the more expensive $39.99 membership.

Joined about a month ago. Mike got us a great deal, gym is so very clean and organized. Joined for the lap pools cause I have bad knees from a wreck and have been more than pleased with my experiences everytime. Havent tried a class yet but very eager to go to one!! Just an absolute amazing gym especially for the price!

No management in the gym. Stand around for half an hour while people just argue and kids at the front desk are afraid to walk in the gym

I wish I had known gyms could be like this years ago--maybe I wouldnt have avoided them so much. The staff and managers Chris and Matt in particular are over the top friendly and helpful, really went way out of their way to be nice to me.Classes are great, particularly cycle class. Instructors are upbeat and motivating and everyone is pretty friendly. The facilities are clean and modern, though the pool has so much chlorine that it is difficult to lap swim. All in all, a great deal for the monthly membership fee!

Great place. Very hard to find clean, refreshing pool in BR. Think this place is the only gun within 50 miles to have one. Great price without be fees too

I love going there!It makes me feel like Im somewhere professional. Maybe thats because I am! They have professional trainers there to help you gain your strength and be in shape. Also help you get your daily food choices on track. And I can guarantee you it is way better than the gym you currently at.

Wow Ive gone to a lot of gyms, have not found one like this place it is beautiful they are very very clean. All of my friends says the same thing the staff is very friendly. The place is just wonderful. I just love the workout upstairs and downstairs dont forget about that wonderful indoor pool sauna room and whirlpool its the place to be. Sometime I just make myself go home.

Came here as a guest to see if I wanted to join. Saw that a staff member was coughing and not wearing a mask. That was enough for me to head straight home.

Seriously not sure why I still come swim here! Pool heater is constantly broken and no amount of complaining gets it fixed!!!

I was debating whether to go to this gym or Planet Fitness (since they are so close to one another) and gave this one a try because they had a daycare and PF didn’t. But there’s only ONE good daycare teacher and she works mornings. The other ones are younger & always on their phones, never attentive, and the kids there are so rough. So I cancelled the kids membership & kept mine. But since I’m a single mom here with no family, I barely go to the gym now. It’s pretty much a waste of money (for me now). Plus it’s always crowded. Some times I try and go at 5:00am & even then it’s more than 20 of us. Lol tonight, I went and it wasn’t so bad (crowd wise), however it is Halloween so I’m not sure if it’s because of that . Nonetheless, the equipment (upstairs) is good & most of the staff is very friendly (just not too good with kids).

They charge an annual fee which is normal. But why do I pay a monthly fee AND get charged with an annual fee? Am I getting dually charged for the same services? Is the monthly fee not enough proof of my business loyalty? Why slap another $50? For “annual fee”I know people who said they didn’t have the same charges when they were members only 18 months ago. Greedy sobs.

Plenty of various ways to challenge and push yourself here. Also several elite former professional and college athletes on staff as managers and trainers if you want help or advice who are very eager to help. After implementing the sauna and different variations of cardio equipment I feel better than I ever have

Great Gym, but I joined it because of group exercises and, guess what, compare with any other Gym I have attended previously, the class choices are poor, especially Thursdays and Fridays, besides they get canceled almost every time I get there with no advanced notice. So if you decide to leave work early in order to get into one of those classes, think first, your favorite instructor who is suppose to be on a printed schedule wont be there, but Isabel will cancel her class and cover for every instructor out there...what a mess!

Very dirty no one cleans the equipment and the staff insists that the 3rd party cleaning company dose, however its hard to believe that when all you see is someone pushing around a dust mop. This is the only gym that smells like a gym! I would pass on membership if the amenities are what you were looking for... Its a big trade off for the basics. This is how the sauna look at 930am, I was disappointed and told the manager at the front desk. She informed me that it was cleaned at 5am that morning. I took this photo at 11am after my workout clearly the manager did not do a thing about the condition of the sauna at that given time.

Treadmills need to be replaced.

I really like this gym because they have a smoky hot Swedish sauna... something that was very hard to find in this area. At the same time I dont like it cause girls walk in to the sauna in their fit ware and shoes and phones and there is no rules about it.

I love the zumba class but would like more options as far as cardio.

This is my second home. The staff are very friendly and the environment is very open. At certain times it can get very busy and packed but if you go at the right times you can get your full workout in without bumping elbows with too many ppl.

Not happy lately with how this facility is being run... the pool and hot are gross, as is the sauna. When approached by several people on the matter the staff said they would do something about it and still nothing. Im not usually one to complain but when Im paying to go I would like it to be CLEAN.

So clean and they actually put the weights back. And the people all keep the place clean. It’s awesome.

Was told that the Siegen location as well as locations in Houston were open 24 hours. Saturday and Sunday no location opens until 8am and closes at 8pm and during the week you close at 11pm including the Siegen location in Baton Rouge. I hate when I am lied to just so you can get members. Will be cancelling my family membership this week and finding another gym that is actually open 24 hours and offer better amenities for with better pricing. Such a rip off!!!

Limited selection of everything, I repeat do not come here after 3PM you will end up fighting for machines and weights to have an adequate workout ...

Credit card fraud. They charged my credit card even if I cancel the membership. They charged my credit card a year later after the subscription was canceled.Be aware!!! Avoid this company!

Joined about a month ago and so far everything is good. The gym is clean, staff is friendly, and the hours are great. I do wish they offered more group classes.

Rude employees, overpriced, limited amount of workout classes and workout machines. It’s pretty packed most of the time. My biggest complaint is the worker in the daycare not following the rules. I came to pick my son up and a little girl was eating a peanut butter sandwich. My son is highly allergic. When I asked the lady about why the little girl was allowed to have that when clearly the policy on the desk said no food allowed, her response was “Oh, I should do a better job at enforcing those rules.” Excuse me? My child could go into anaphylactic shock and that’s your response? Never went back after that.

Its a great gym. Pool and spa is a great bonus.

Raquet ball, cardio, basket ball, swimming pool, child care, sauna, jacuzzi, free waits, cross training, and spinning. What else could you need. People are friendly and helpful.

Big place with plenty of free weights. Never really feels crowded. They have an indoor, heated pool and even saunas. 3 Racketball courts and a full size indoor Basketball court.

I like it only bc no one speaks... I been working out there for over a year and I can count on my two hands of how many times I was spoken to... the trainer are in they own world and if you not paying them for a session then you just a nobody. And that cool bc Im not a talkative type of person... so its perfect for me.. there are two trainers are very cool.

As plenty ppl have said before all they care about is whether you get a personal trainer or not. And even when you do, they still arent nice or give good customer service. Honestly you could save money and go to planet fitness because their facility isnt all that

Perfect ensemble of workout equipment, classes, sauna and pool.

This gym is less than a year old, but the equipment is already falling apart. The atmosphere isnt great either; if you dont pay for a personal trainer its like they dont want you there, even though you pay for a membership. 6/10.

The staff needs to manage the customers in the free weight are. Too many leaving plates in bars and dumbbells in the floor.Hot tub closed every Saturday morning until after lunch.

Regret joining - Paid for full years membership in advance. i had a torn tendon in my foot & planned to use the pool for the exercise. Found out it was too painful to kick & flex my foot - so could not use the pool. I tried upper body machines to work out on - one of which threw my back out & I had to go to the Doctor. Couldnt use those machines anymore. I thought at least I can relax in the jacuzzi- I got there - (20 min drive fighting traffic & heat) - & got undressed - put on my bathing suit - only to find out the jacuzzi was out of commission at 12:30 on a Friday afternoon due to maintenance. I was told this happened every Friday. I was furious at having wasted my time & realized I no longer wanted to be a member & demanded my money back due to health reasons. I was told NO! Could not even get a partial refund. I later asked if my Sister could use my membership in my place - I was told NO! Its non- transferable. So I basically wasted over $400. Other problems I noticed are: dirty floors in the bathroom, toilet stalls in womans bathroom not always clean, & out of toilet paper, torn shower curtains, & no soap in the dispenser. NEVER AGAIN!

This gym is beyond clean and the staff is over the top friendly and they really want the best for you!

The gym is clean and modern with a large amount of machine and dumbells to work anything you feel like working. I spend most of my time in the gym at perkins and I can say the environment is outstanding. The workers will be pleased to wander any of your questions regarding forum or how to use a machine. The gym also includes a sauna and lockers but if you want to lock up you need to bring your own personal lock. While there is a lot to do at this location there is a large amount of people and if you plan on working out around 6-6:30 i would recommend taking the gym on Seigon as it is much larger and has less people.

I never cared for the atmosphere but the facility is close. So I decided to cancel. A person can not just cancel. You must meet in person with the operations manager, who by the way, is only there Mon-Fri when normal people are at work. When I told the receptionist I didn’t think that was quite fair, she proceeded to tell me that they were only open to 10 so there was no reason for me to come work out. I told her I thought she was rude and she hung up on me. Besides the rudeness, their SOP should be grounds for a class action lawsuit. You want to cancel? Sorry, we have 10 people there waiting to sign you up at all hours, but only 1 can cancel your membership and good luck trying to catch her on the premises!

Good weight room, lots of cardio equipment upstairs, a core strength area, indoor pool, racquetball, etc. Overall a well rounded gym that also caters to bodybuilders. There isnt much of a power lifting area here though.

Plenty of dumbbells and they increased by 2.5lb increments. Not alot of leg equipment. Great spin room and basketball court. Peak hours are too full.

I work for east baton rouge sheriff officeOn April, I went to LA Fitness at 6474 Siegen Lane in baton rouge to enroll for gym membership.As the General Manager was filling out the paperwork he also told about their Personal trainer class. And he told me how they would work for muscle groups and make dietary plan for me every 2 weeks and make a fitness assessment, and one of my questions was Can I cancel personal trainer at any time?? and he replied quote yeah yeah I will get there. He made me believe was doing everything to the best of my interest, it felt like he cared about me. Well, he did not..I come to find out he signed me for 3-year membership and never told me he was doing that.He booked me for a 1-year term for Personal Trainer and did not tell about any of that again he did not say any terms of the contract. He made me think I was signing up for monthly bases by telling me and will quote one more time yeah yeah I will get there and he never ever mentions of long-term commitment for my gym membership or Personal trainer.He was dishonest by not telling me the whole plan, by not explaining what I was signing not showing me the documents prior to signed. Im really unhappy with LA fitness management. And know I had to pay $1000 dollars to cancel my Personal Trainer and I only had 2 classes taken no fitness assessment was done beside the $1000 I also paid 2 month worth of PT $400 and again I only had 2 classes. He should have told me about the terms and not hide them. He was dishonest by not telling what he was signing me up. And Im really upset about it. I have to work really hard for my money. He is the type of man that only wanna draw a check no matter how he gets it.

The LA Fitness at Siegen Ln is a solid gym with plenty of amenities. If you are serious about working out then this is a great place. If you are more casual then there are probably better places. Like every gym it has pros and cons.There are tons of free weights and dumbbells (although only one true squat-rack and no dedicated dead-lifting area), tons of cardio, free but limited group classes, basketball court (although currently under renovation), racquetball, and a three lane pool.A lot of poor reviews stem from the fact people are upset they are locked into contracts or felt the sales reps were aggressive. From my experience they were definitely trying to sell the gym to me, but that is there job. Dont sign a contract without fully reading and understanding it or you have any yourself to blame.

Horrible experience! Very decieving... Dont even explain your contract told us we were signing for a year said computer was running slow and to just sign here. Went to cancel and was told we signed for 3 years. Do not go here the one time we used the daycare did not watch the kids the girls are on their phone the whole time not watching.

LA Fittness is the most over rated gym ever. For a constantly crowded gym, with no WiFi, and closing hours at 11:00pm youd think they wouldnt be so expensive. Oh and please dont try and cancel your membership. Its $99 per membership to buy out your contact, during the next 3 years. Also I opened up my boyfriends account, the monthly payments are coming out of my account. But he and I both need to be there in order to close it. You have to jump through hoops to get anything done. Next I join a gym Ill be sure to do my research.

Went with a friend and I played college football and Im Military and I havent seen so many DBs in one place at the same time. Theyll have to double the size to fit the egos of just the employees. I hope they have oxygen on site because some of them hold their breath puffing their chest all the way across the gym.
