They seem to be extremely conservative when diagnosing gum disease and prescribe a non-insurance covered procedure to help fix the issue. If you come here and get that diagnosis, I recommend you get a second opinion. I did and my new dentist said that procedure was not necessary at this time. I paid for the treatment once, but did not the second time it was recommended.

During the pandemic, my daughter had a terrible infection on her tooth. I contacted Dr. Girod and he immediately sent in a prescription and fit her in his schedule. My 11 year old has been seeing him for years and she LOVES to go to the dentist. Thank you Dr. Girod for being amazing!

Everyone at this office has been absolutely delightful. They were understanding of my issues and my schedule and worked with me to make progress on my dental plan. I would recommend this place no matter where you are at with dental issues.

I went there for a routine visit. The staff is nice and the wait time was short. The dentist answered all of my questions and had a good bedside manners. I had an issue with a bill and they called me to get it fixed right away. I appreciate their professionalism and need to satisfy their patients.

I never write reviews for anything but felt compelled to write one for this. Lots of fancy equipment and tons of staff so you can get an appointment quickly. Thats the best I can say about it. The quality of the work is below average and the cost not covered by insurance is extremely high. There are a number of dentists in Baton Rouge. Keep looking...

I had 3 CEREC® CAD/CAM done 2 years ago and 2 of them broken recently. I called the office because they claimed these crowns to have lifetime warranty and they refused to replaced these because I haven’t visit the dental office within the last 6 months. I explained I moved to a different city and have been getting dental services with New localProvider but they still won’t replace it. Very disappointed with the terrible customer service and misleading advertisement. Don’t recommend to have these bad quality crowns not with these people that don’t honor they warranty. Crowns were placed by Dr. Girod.Update Nov,2020:All 3 crowns done here has been replaced because materials of bad quality and improper labor.

My grandson (age 6) was with me in early August when the crown on a back molar came off. He lives in Florida and was planning to spend the week with me. I called Acadian Modern Dentistry on Monday morning. He was scheduled for 1 that day. We did have to wait a bit with the paperwork, yet once the dental process began it was efficient and smooth. He was a bit apprehensive because it had hurt some when the crown was put on. In 5 minutes or so the dentist had reattached the crown, no problems, no pain. We enjoyed the rest of our week together. Everyone at this office is so nice and caring. From the front desk, to the hygienist, to Dr. Gerold, you feel welcomed and cared for. They are very accommodating. Dr. Gerold makes sure to answer all of your questions and will explain everything to you to make sure you fully understand. I have been going here for over 3 years and cannot recommend this dental office enough. If you are looking for a dental office, highly recommend them!

Words can not describe how amazing this office and staff was. When I first walked in the door I was greeted with friendly and caring staff. Zach was very professional and EXTREMELY gentle with helping with my extremely sore mouth. They had a full house yet gave me their undivided attention especially in making sure I knew what was going on every step of the way. Dr. Girod was beyond belief. How could someone be so great? He made conversation, making sure I was comfortable continuously by asking How I was doing during the process. He told Zach a funny dental when he was in the military during my procedure, and I knew then I had the right person in my mouth :) Long story long, I have never felt so good leaving a dentist. I have found my dental home.

My son had his wisdom teeth taken out by Dr. Lim. We were very pleased and felt that the office was very professional and Dr. Lim was great. He called the next day to check on him and the office staff answered any questions I had about the surgery.

This place completely takes advantage of the people who walk through the door. They give you unnecessary treatment and then lie about what is and is not covered from your insurance. I received a bill from something they claimed was covered then it turned out to not be. Also, they will tell ANYONE they have a gum infection...lol told me and my fiance that when we get our teeth done regularly.

Id give them 6 stars if I could. Im practically a regular here now with Dr. Gray having done extensive work on my teeth recently. Every time I call or come in everyone is always so genuinely friendly & they call me by name. Theyre always willing to answer any questions I have and accommodate me in any way possible. They go above and beyond for there patients. I would HIGHLY recommend this practice, especially Dr. Gray.

By all means, look for another dentist! Both my husband and I were told we needed oral surgery urgently! Went to another dentist recommend by friends who could not find a thing. We were also overcharged. Luckily our employer paid the full amount....

I received a bill from this company because they did not verify my insurance. I contacted them to dispute the charges and the office manager Biba (spelling maybe incorrect) was very rude and condescending. For it to be my first bad experience with this office, she made it my worst.

I went in to get the hard tarter off my teeth and they were very professional in getting it done dr girod came in and explained everything to me and went back and the hygienist heather got me all fixed up cant wait to get 2nd part done monday people dont listen to them negative reviews they are very good at modern dentistry I highly recommend them thanks modern dentistry for going my smile back

Everyone here is very nice, and Im sure its fine for routine dental work, however my experience here with cosmetic dental work was horrible. I went in to have two veneers redone, and I was assured it would be hassle free and Id be in and out. Not only was it not hassle free, the end result was awful and another dentist at the practice had to fix the shoddy work on the fly. This didnt result in a smile that was ideal for me, and after two thousand dollars I want to feel great about the results. The only reason I can give two stars is because they really tried to fix the bad dental work that my initial dentist (no longer at this practice) performed, absorbing the cost of the redo.

The entire staff from start to finish was very friendly, highly professional, and great what they do! Though each person had their own role, they transitioned seamlessly between one another as I progressed through my visit.

I have to say that I’ve had nothing but great experiences with this office. Dr. Girod is amazing and the staff are very nice. He has always gotten me in right away and made sure I was comfortable when I left. I definitely recommend!

I have been here three separate times and each time everyone is relatively nice. However, I dont feel as though each dentist really listened to my questions or concerns. I went in for information about soft spots and tooth bonding and wasnt given any information on the subject. Instead, the dentists told me that I do not want it and that I should get veneers with them instead. I do not want veneers. They then gave me a lecture on veneers, the painful process, and the incredibly high pricing for them. They said if I could not afford the high price, I could get a credit card to pay them. I found it kind of ridiculous and rude, as they tried to make up my mind for me. I gave them three chances, and I wont be going back.

People are nice and they are probably good for routine maintenance but after lots of money lost my mom is switching to another dentist. It is definitely a business. A money making factory but my mom is still in pain and they did not listen to her. We have to look for someone else ASAP.

I had a bunch of work done, inlays mostly and after a month half of the came out. I went back about 4 times to get work done on the same issues. My visa credit card said they were a fraudulent company and canceled my credit card and reissued me a new one. They kept trying to fix my inlays, but I ended up going to a different modern denstisty in Colorado where they did the job right. At least they covered the cost to do the work each time, Ill give them that much but the time and pain was definitely not pleasant. Id think three times about recommending this place to any one.

About two years ago, I received a crown from Acadian Modern Dentistry. The crown was quite an investment for me, but the staff assured me that this crown was the best of the best and I was in good hands. This is where the nightmare began.About six months later the crown came off and cracked. I went to the office, and the team replaced the crown. All’s good? Wrong.About 12 months later the crown cracked. I expected the office to offer potential solutions, but I was met with a cold response. The director of billing and receptionist retorted with a “too bad so sad” when I presented my case. I was taken aback by their insouciant approach.This isn’t a relationship– this is a business transaction. I expected the dentist in that office to act under the “duty of care” umbrella. I thought I was putting my medical trust into an organization comprised of people with integrity, candor, and compassion. I received none of these things. Any slight inconvenience will result in a cold shoulder from these people. They are after money.The health of your oral hygiene is the least of their consideration. When I was in between a rock & hard place I was given the coldest shoulder by this office. They offered no solutions nor responsibility for the lack of longevity in my oral treatment.While I understand that we live in a capitalistic society, I’m both disappointed and hurt. Medical professionals are often guided under the “Hippocratic Oath” to do the right thing for their patients. We often trust our practitioners to have our best interest at heart because we trust their expertise. Do yourself a favor – question everything.Trust me – don’t be fooled by the shiny toys/equipment. You will be better served at a family practice with dentists that act ethically and exhibit genuine kindness. When push comes to shove, you don’t want to folks to penny, nickel, & dime you when it comes to your health.If only this dentistry was as detailed with their dental work as they were with enforcing their “policies” I wouldn’t be in this situation.Alas, the investment of my crown has depreciated at an exponential rate. It is year 2 and I am going on my third crown for the same tooth [I got the worthless “Single-Visit” CEREC® crowns]. Going to this office will require a tune-up more often then the staff lets you know. If you have excess money to spend on dental care – Acadian Modern Dentistry is the place for you.I sincerely hope that your experience is better than mine!I need the kind of dentist who gives each patient the time & empathy that they need. My fiancé went there about a month ago to get tartar removed from under his gums. He wound up spending last week in the hospital with a newly contracted hepatitis b infection. I tested negative for the virus, he isn’t a drug user, and this is the only semi-invasive procedure he’s had done this year. This is the only place that he could have contracted the infection. Stay far away from this place.

The staff and doctors there are great. They made everything comfortable and made me feel like I was the only patient there.The problem I have with this office is: their website makes it seem that if you go in for a root canal, it can all be done there. This is not true. After they cleaned out the teeth I needed work on, they told me Id have to go to an endodontist to get the rest of the procedure done. This visit for them to prep my teeth left only $200 in my annual allowance for my dental insurance. The actual doctor doing my root canals is now charging $2225 for finishing the work. So this procedure has totaled around $5000.Save yourself the extra time, money, and effort and just go to an endodontist for a root canal to begin with.

New modern office that is very clean. They have the latest and greatest in dental technology. You can get a crown in the same visit.

After waiting an hour and a half, they tell me that they can not do my cleaning because they were about to close. Mind you I have had this appointment set up for a while. Not only did they not do my cleaning, but they tried to bill me $300 for a gum treatment that I did not ask for nor did I receive because like I said they didnt do anything but have me sit in a chair for an hour and a half. The worst service ever. I will not be going back!
