This place is amazing. We could not find a skilled nursing facility that was better than this. Respect, dignity, cleanliness, attentiveness, qualified staff that goes beyond their and our expectations. And the food was crazy good! This is the place to be, no one comes close to personal attention, quality rooms/apartments, professional highly qualified staff. Always there for her and for us.

Ive lived here for 12 plus years, 7 years in the cottage #6 and 5 years in the apartment in Independent Living. I miss the cottage because of the birds, the deer and other animals. We both were born and raised on the farm. So the cottage was an ideal living place for us because it has brought back many memories. I enjoyed all the activities available; e.g. daily mass, exercise class, the pool and etc. When my wife Darlene was diagnosed with Alzheimers, the staff and other residents were extremely helpful and supportive. With the support from the everyone in the community, I was able to take care of Darlene in our apartment until the last 3 days of her life. They equipped me with the tools and training on how to care for her in our apartment. When she passed away the support for the other residents and the staff were unbelievable. I am grateful to be here and this is the best decision my wife and I made years ago. The children were extremely supportive in our decision in moving here as well.

I have lived at The Oaks with my husband for thirteen years. This was one of the best decisions we ever made. The residents, the staff, the services, the apartment, the campus ... its all top notch!

The facility and the nurses and aids are wonderful! I could not say enough good things about them. Social Services is another story. Be sure you have all your ducks in a row when your loved one is discharged and make sure that they have all the information in writing. They seem to drop the ball.

This facility is bankrupt. Residents who live there now are not getting any reassurance from management regarding what rights they have in this matter and the financial outcome, so please dont think of having your loved one live here. Also, this facility was the loser in a $4.1 million dollar lawsuit when a jury found that a residents medications were mismanaged leading to negative health consequences. There are many better managed, less expensive facilities in the area. Dont take the risk of losing all of the money your parent(s) saved for a lifetime.

This rehab needs more staff the nurses have to do it all and most likely are overworked that is why there is attitude. When trying to reach the nurse attending for your loved one the call goes to there nursing station and it rings forever then you get back to the operator who tries again same thing until many minutes goes by before you get the nurse on the line. Then you ask if they can keep you informed daily on how your loved one is progressing and they don’t call. The food is cold most times. If your loved one gets sick and needs medication you will wait days for there pharmacy to provide it. Many sleepless nights worrying about my loved one.

Great place to live. The CEO and the rest of the staff are really great. They think and plan ahead. You feel safe during an unsafe time.

This is one of the best facilities, I was visiting a friend in rehab. I have also been a patient there, it was great. It is really kept clean, the rooms are quite nice and private. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Great place if you are able bodied and living in independent living! But if your loved one moves on to the memory care facility, buyer beware! My mother was asked to leave and revoked her life care plan after 2 incidents where she laid a hand on other residents. There was no one harmed - but she was considered a serious threat after that. Aggressive tendencies are a part of the progression of dementia, and I feel she was agitated when bored. Often I would come and see the residents all sitting in front of the television not moving or barely interacting with the staff. Stimulation seemed very minimal and my mom was often bored. She is now at Artis, a new memory care facility in Bartlett that has her active and engaged in new activities daily. She can roam the facility freely, including going outdoors! She is much happier, and her aggression has all but disappeared. I hope Clare Oaks rethinks their approach to those in memory care who are declining. Our folks need and deserve more compassion and respect.

The area to the rear of the building is so beautiful. So many interesting looking plants and areas to walk around.

The Arlingtones barbershop chorus performed a Christmas show at this facility and the event was first class! the staff helped in many ways, so I highly recommend this facility!

Great location, lots of amenities, fabulous staff, fine dining. Independent living, assisted living, memory care, rehab, skilled nursing etc.

I am actually visiting a loved one in the short term (rehab) facility within this community. He is a repeat patient. Drs., nurses, cnas, therapists are all excellent, compassionate and dedicated. The facility is modern, comfortable, welcoming and very safe. Theres plenty to do and plenty of opportunities to meet new people or, in this case, renew friendships. I want to come here if I ever have the need. This place is more than 20 miles from patients home and there are plenty of facilities much closer. The strong speech, swallowing and short term memory therapy program drew patient here originally. Ive met a few patients who chose clare oaks so their pets could visit them. I also understand the food is pretty good. Check out Assisi health care for more info on this place.
