I adopted a dog from her home in 2019, where he was kept in a barn in winter months. The adopter (Rykoff) is also a vet and his paperwork stated to have a clean bill of health. I picked him up, he had no name, but this poor animal stunk to high heaven where I had to roll all the windows down not to gag. Rykoff admitted to the animals using puppy pads in the barn. Upon taking the dog to my vet, it was found to have Giardia (which I contracted) and 3 different worms. I am happy to say, the dog is in a much better environment. If you want to literally SAVE a dog, please save a dog from her care. The 350.00 adoption fee is ridiculous for the conditions these animals are kept in. When I called her to tell her the dog was riddled with worms and giardia she said oh thats nothing exciting and I had to drive to her vet clinic, that also stunk terribly, to get the meds. She didnt acknowledge me and I stood in front of her with other clients in the waiting room for about 30 minutes. When she did bring the meds, she seems annoyed. Her rescue is a sad place for animals and her fraudulent paperwork and bad attitude shows in the care of these innocent and helpless animals.

I adopted two kittens from Fur Keeps, and I was told that they were both healthy and had been checked by a vet. Shortly after bringing them home we found one of the kittens had an ear infection and FIVE different strains of ringworm, and the other had ear mites. We told the rescue, were offered no help, and have racked up what is closing in on a thousand dollars of vet bills, medication, and cleaning/quarantine supplies. To make a long story short, we were offered minimal help after explicitly asking, but when we asked for financial assistance we were laughed off, and the rescue, while publicizing this nowhere, expects you to know the rescue is run by a vet (Rykoff), and will only help you out if come directly to her, which we didnt because we had no way of knowing. The fact that the rescue has five different strains of ringworm going through their fosters unchecked, and the fact that there were visible sign of a contagious condition showing when we adopted them, are both huge red flags for a rescue. No respectable rescue is this careless with their animals, or this obtusely unwilling to provide help when they treat their customers like fosters.

We adopted 2 kittens (brothers) from Fur Keeps in May of 2017. They are the best thing we can ask for. They bring so much joy to our lives. Super cute and playful!

I saw a cute kitten on facebook and immediately called Fur Keeps. Met the kitten the next day at Pet Mart. Immediately adopted her and named her Sunny. Later I found out she was born on my birthday. She is now almost 2 years old and the best cat ever! Thanks to Donna for providing a great transition for my cat. The experience was great!

About 8 months ago my husband and I lost our two senior cats because of old age and health issues. We lost them within a day of each other which made it 3 cats we had to say see you later too in 6 months. I had 2 of these cats since they were 8 weeks old and one I adopted when she was 10 months. I was very blessed to have them. They lived to the ages of 15 1/2, 16 1/2, and 17 1/2. It broke our hearts with the last cat and it took only a week for my husband and I to know how empty the house felt without them. We went on petfinder where we knew we wanted to adopt at least 2 kittens. That is where we found the black cat we knew we wanted. He came with a brother and a sister. And being an animal lover I couldnt seperate siblings. The 3 kittens were being fostered near where we lived. We went to meet them and that day put in the adoption papers and got to take them home. They are almost a year old now and growing so big. We had such a great experience adopting our fur babies through Fur Keeps. We like to thank them for helping us smile again with our 3 sweet kittens :).Thank you to Susan and her husband for all their help with adopting our 3 kittens!Highly Recommend adopting from them and/or donating to them!

. I was there trying to find a dog to adopt. Called several times, no answer, no call back. Located on a farm(?), no signs, just private property sign.
