I honestly would never recommend this doctors office to anybody. For starters, I received in the mail from my insurance company that two separate claims were denied due to the charges this office was trying to charge me. I got three different charges, totaling the remaining bill of over $200+ for an initial appointment. They took blood work as well, and that totalled a remaining balance of $200+ as well. So all in total for one visit, no chance would or will I be paying that $400. For the record, for everyone reading this, and I’m sure the doctors office doesn’t know this, but a new bill was passed stating that ALL pricing is to be made transparrent prior to the appointment… So goodluck getting that from me.Furthermore, one of the two medications that was prescribed from the doctor, I had not taken before. I was prescribed two medications, one that I took prior and another one the doctor recommended to start taking. I started getting really bad headaches, so I called to communicate that with the doctor, but he never reached back to me, but instead had his front office staff call me back to tell me to stop taking that medication... Ive never taken the new one they recommended before either, but she told me to go pick up the other one. I expressed my concern to the front desk lady, the symptoms that I was experiencing, but she shrugged it off like it was nothing. Also, they sent my prescriptions to two separate Jewel-Oscos, one in the city of Chicago and another one in the suburbs where I requested it to be sent (How do you mix that up like really, that’s just pure laziness and not being aware of what you’re doing at work). They also lied to me saying that they could not write out prescriptions for 90 days, which is a flat out lie because my previous doctor and my new one that I saw after this appointment (who is awesome by the way and flat out said asked why in the heck was i prescribed the two medications this doctor prescribed me…) that they can do it no problem. So they are out for your money not about helping you. And then when it came time for my follow-up appointment (I wasn’t planning on going), but they called me to confirm and they booked me for Schaumburg? Its like I did not go to Schaumburg for my first appointment and I had it written down from the lady herself (her hand writing lol) the appointment date and time.I did not feel comfortable going back in there and I do not know how much they were going to charge me and I do not trust this doctor as he did not follow up with communicate with me to see how I was doing with my headaches. Thankfully I went to another doctor who is able to treat me and see that the matter was more serious than what the front desk lady made it out to be and if the doctor just called me back to talk with me and show that he actually did care, then I would go back. Stay away from this office, really its not worth it.

Dr. Mini Thakkar has been our family physician for 33 years. She has proven to be a knowledgeable dedicated professional and one of the best diagnosticians we have experienced. We have endured some serious medical issues in our family history. Some of our members would not be with us today without the services provided by this medical practice. Good family physicians are difficult to find in this changing medical age. This is a good one.

Dr Thakkar is very detailed and will check all avenues both holistic and western pharmacy based medicine before treating you. She also lives what she preaches. She takes the vitamins she recommends, she does the exercise she tells her patients to do, it is refreshing to have a physician sit with you and really get to know your issue before just prescribing medicine.

Dr. Thakkar is the best! I was seeing many specialists about several health concerns. They wanted to put me on all sorts of medications. Dr. Thakkar took the time to go through my records and pointed out that the concerns might caused by gluten. I went gluten free and sure enough it fixed everything.

I love her, she saved my life, seriously, in the intensive care she took charge and saved my life! I had to try other doctors due to insurance in Wauconda, they 1 10th of what Dr Thakkar has done for me. I am switching insurance to go back to Dr Thakkar

Stay Away From this Quack. Money hungry,1.Would not even authorize and an emergency prescription refill. Ended up at the emergency room.2. Charged $75.00 for a 3-sentence letter for a discount Pizer prescription program.3. Will only authorize a 30-day supply for blood pressure meds. Wants a $75.00 worthless office visit. My current doctor gives 90 days without any problem.

How she didnt kill my mother amazes me. Dr. Thakkar has no business treating anyone for anything. It all felt like a con. She pushed vitamins that were very expensive knowing there was a financial challenge. She played games with Medicare. She re-packages otc allergy meds and sells them in her office like it is a prescription. Anything to make a buck. She misdiagnosed my mother over and over again. Im embarrassed that I fell for it for as long as I did. Communication skills are non-existent as she speaks over her patients and gets frustrated when you ask questions. Seriously, this woman should not have an office. Do yourself a favor and keep looking. Mini, close up shop before u hurt someone. (My mom now has real medical care and is doing great ... sorry we lost two years of good health to someone literally guessing at medicine). P.s. Her nurse Arlene is great!!!! Too bad she works for a hack.

She charges $275 for initial visit. Its a few minutes of meaningless conversation (mine involved topic of her daughter and Obamacare), without any blood work or tests or diagnosis. Than she wants you to come back for another visit to do the tests. She didnt listen to any word I said, at the end she told me to do all those things that I already told her Im doing. Very bad first impression - even after paying that horrendous first visit charge, Im not coming back.
