I highly recommend the practice of Drs. Russell P. Fitton III and IV! Having been a patient for almost 25 years, I can not imagine going anywhere else for all of my dental care. Youll be put to ease if you get nervous going to the dentist like I do. I will never forget how kind, caring and calming Dr. Fitton IV was when I was feeling scared having had some major work done recently. I have been going to the same dentist for 25 years. When my favorite hygienist passed away, I switched to Barrington Dental because Dr. Rusty was a former student of mine and I wanted to support his career choice. Oh my gosh! Was I ever impressed! My hygienist was fabulous! She was patient, gentle, and very thorough. I dont think I have had my teeth cleaned that well in years. She was also understanding about my small mouth and only took two X-rays instead of four because she was able to efficiently capture the pictures. This saved me a lot of money, since I do not have Dental insurance. Dr. Rusty is also amazing. Not only is he up on the current and the latest in Dentistry, but he is kind and compassionate with his patients. I first went to him when I needed a night guard since my past dentist didnt make him. Dr. Rusty was so far ahead with the technology that past dentist was amazed. Finally, the office is so clean and so professional and SO nice. They even offer a Senior discount which, when one is on Medicare, is a huge savings. They are always willing to reschedule an appointment when necessary and check in several times beforehand to confirm and remind one about their appointment. Dr. Russell is also wonderful. What I love about the office is the feeling one gets of being appreciated as a patient. This is a great feeling as most people do not like the dentist! I have recommended Dr. Rusty to several people and everyone I do recommend them to, switches to Barrington Dental. This Dental practice is phenomenal. The staff as well as the dentists are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I was literally terrified of the dentist. I rarely went to the dentist during my adolescent years and wouldn’t have sought out a dentist if it weren’t for issues with my teeth. Then, I was referred to Barrington Dental about 8 years ago. I have never had a scary experience here. The staff is phenomenal, I’ve always been comfortable and felt safe. I no longer fear going to the dentist because I’ve never felt pain from any of the work I’ve had done. I will never go anywhere else.

Before I chose Drs. Russell P. Fitton III and IV, I did extensive research on credentials and was impressed with what I learned. Moreover, the dentist’s skills exceeded this reputation. He has an exceptional communication style, taking time to understand my needs and recommends only what is necessary. I came to the practice with extensive dental work and a few issues, and I remain confident my every need will be met in a caring and professional manner.

As usual I had a great experience at Fitton Dental. The work performed was excellent and Dr. Fitton always takes the time to answer all my questions. But the real key for me is the staff. My husband and I have been going here for years and have had many services done from a simple dental cleaning to a complex implant. Regardless of the complexity of the work to be done, we have always felt comfortable and confident knowing we are well taken care of!

Dr. Fitton has taken care of my son with Special needs. He is very kind and positive and always takes the time to discuss my sons outcome after each visit. With Covid I sit in the car and Dr. Fitton will come out personally to discuss everything. I trust him completely with our treatment plan and it’s obvious he treats my son with respect. My son always does thumbs up and smiles when he leaves!

I very much dislike dentists because of previous bad experiences. The fitton’s are very understanding and have an amazing amount of patience. I have had root canals and cavities filled. I have to say it was a very good experience. thank you for caring !!

I recently had my first visit and was very impressed. It was easy to make an appointment, each time I called I was able to reach a person right away and the staff was friendly.Covid-19 protocols for entering the office were thorough but efficient; it took less than a min to go through everything and they offered hand sanitizer to take when done.The paperwork I needed to fill out was well organized and only a few pages, My wait time was only a few minutes (another min and I would have completed the paperwork).In the dentist chair everything was clean and neat. xrays, cleaning and exam were done in the same place, so let touch points.The cleaning: I usually hate this part but the dental hygienist did a great job, I experienced very little discomfort. The dentist was also friendly and knowledgeable.I was very happy with my experience and would definitely recommend to others.

Dr. Fittons practice has invested in a complete air filtration system to protect his patients. It made me feel very protected from Covid. In addition, my constant allergies cleared up completely during my visit! Thank you, Dr. Fitton, for caring about your patients!

He was able to fix it seamlessly, and the material he used matched my teeth exactly. My teeth look great and the repair has held up. All of the staff are exceptional. This past weekend I was suffering from a terrible toothache. My entire face was swollen and I thought I was going to have to wait until Monday to see my regular dentist. One of my friends recommended Dr. Rusty and said his office has an on call number for the weekend. Even though I was not his patient, he was extremely friendly and accommodating over the phone. We agreed on a time to meet in his office and he was able to fix the issue. It was such a nice surprise to find a dentist that understands how debilitating tooth pain can be and was willing to take time out of his weekend to see me. He even called me today to see if I was feeling better. I very highly recommend him!

Best dental experience EVER! Had a terrible toothache with a wisdom tooth growing in. Was about to call off work and Rusty told me hed meet me to get it taken out within the HOUR! He met me at the office and took care of the problem. I was able to go to work that same day, at 6pm so I didnt need to loose out on a day of work. The entire experience was amazing. Going to the dentist shouldt be bad! Im so happy with the decision I made.

Dr. Fitton has the most advanced equipment. I had to have impressions done to make an exact mold of my teeth for a sleep apnea mouth guard but instead of biting into nasty clay that isnt 100% accuract they used a wand they passed along my teeth that created a digital on screen 3 dimension image of my teeth. I drove from Naperville to Barrington to go to this dentist. I highly recommend this dentist. Thank you Dr. Fitton and thank you Tracy for all your help.

NOT A PEDIATRIC PRACTICEMy family (wife, 3 children currently aged 4, 5 and 8) has been going to this practice for the last 5 years. We started by seeing an associate dentist (non owner) for the first 2 years, and had very good experiences on a consistent basis. For the last 3 years, we have been seeing the owner’s son, and that is when my comfort level with the practice dropped, until this week when it fell off a cliff.The main issue I have is the lack of interaction with and feedback from the dentist. If you take your child there, the expectation is that the child (as young as 3) stays in the exam room unaccompanied. This is fine. What is unacceptable is the lack of parent interaction with the dentist. My expectation is that if a health care service provider is going to take custody of my child, even if for only 10-15 minutes, that I get briefed afterwards by the dentist himself (not the hygienist or tech). I am not looking for anything more than a 1 minute summary that summarizes what happened, and what comes next. This kind of parent briefing has not happened at any appointment I have been at. My child goes in, he is treated, then sent back out with a quick comment from the hygienist.In the incident that served as the tipping point for us, my 4 year old daughter went in to have a cavity filled. I escorted her to the room, and ended up staying (at the hygienists request) because my daughter wasn’t handling it well. The dentist (Rusty, owner’s son) walked in, didn’t say hello to me (bizarre) and went straight for my daughter. He neither addressed me nor explained what was happening, so I just watched as he struggled with her (not his fault, she was difficult). His bedside manner with her was ok. He used a visit to the ‘toy chest’ to try to get her to cooperate. It wasn’t working (again, not his fault). Halfway through, he asked me to step out so he could finish (I think he thought I was a distraction to my daughter, he didn’t say). I stepped out and waited just outside the room, because I knew if I went into the waiting room, I wouldn’t hear from Rusty on what happened. (Coincidentally, the dentist’s father, who had no idea who I was, happened to walk by while I waited in the hall and said ‘hello’ to me very pleasantly). After a few minutes, Rusty walked out and told me he was stopping the procedure. He got the filling in, but she wasn’t cooperating, and couldn’t finish, and that was that. Rather than going on to explain to me what work was done and what was left, I had to prod him. “What work is left? What is the impact to my daughter since the work wasn’t completed? Do we need to reschedule?” I then asked him if it would make sense for me to go back in with her so he could finish the job. He wouldn’t consider it. It was a very strange and terse back and forth.One thing which I heard him say to my daughter as he walked out (he didn’t know I was standing outside the room) was “well, now you don’t get to go to the treasure chest because you didn’t open your mouth for me”. This told me that Rusty has very little experience with children on both a personal and professional level. It would have been no skin off his back to personally try to escort her to the treasure chest to give her a toy, and consequently give her a positive memory of an otherwise tough visit to the dentist’s office. Not only did he not do that, he said that she couldn’t go...as if that would motivate her (again, a 4 year old) to cooperate on the next visit.The website indicates that they practice pediatric dentistry. My experience shows that they are woefully lacking in that area, and we will no longer be taking our children here for care.

Always hated going to dentist until I started seeing Dr. Fitton in 2001. Whole family gets great care from everyone to the front desk to Stacy (who cleans our teeth). HIGHLY recommended.

The doctor is good he puts his patients first, and is really nice. However the staff is very...very rude. They have major attitude issues, and very disrespectful too.
