Dr Dina was great. So helpful. Much more thorough than the ENT Id seen two months earlier. Even gave advice that saved me on meds.

After years of experiencing breathing difficulties with my nose (congestion, snoring, overall feeling of stuffiness even when clear) , deciding to be evaluated and treated by an ENT was a big step for me. I was referred to Dr. Golbin-Hallet by a friend. From the moment I entered her facility I had the feeling I was in good hands, beginning with the front office. Prompt, timely, knowledgeable, flexible, courteous, empathetic, professional and helpful are accurate in describing the staff. Dr. Golbin-Hallet was on time, listened to me closely when speaking about my issue. Once it was her turn, she took great care to ensure I understood each thing she was about to do when examining my nasal passages then proceeded to do what she described in a very caring way (which I appreciated). When she explained her finding and next steps there was no doubt that choosing her as my ENT was a great choice. Visits were each to schedule. There were two more appointments involved in fixing my issue and each was as impressive, timey and reassuring as the first. Dr. Golbin-Hallet is superb at what she does and equally sensitive to putting patients at ease in her office. Not only do I say that I would I recommend her, I’ve done it twice.

Relaxing experience!

Great doctors, but the system makes sure to let you know that they are very concerned about getting paid. It comes off a bit too strong and definitely makes the operation seem all about money, not health. Too many policies, too many signatures, a $35 cancellation fee (more than the highest copay), and the model has a strong business feel that’s driven by making the utmost profits. Although they claim that you can fill out your paper work online, that feature actually doesn’t work. So on the one hand they are aggressive in how they manage the financial aspect of their operation but totally behind in terms of providing services to make the patients’ lives a bit easier when filling out paperwork, managing or accessing their accounts (a feature that doesn’t exist) and even making the online submission system operational; non of that! They’re investing very little in patient technology to maximize their shirt term profits, hoping to sustain their patient base (which tends to be at the older end).The facilities in Barrington are old, and the rooms are incoherent in terms of flooring, equipment, desks, chairs and furniture. It has an aesthetically unpleasant feel given these characteristics. It’s definitely a late 1990s facility at best.

Im very disappointed in Specialty Care Institute! We went for an appointment in Barrington as scheduled and the office was closed! Today we went for an appointment in Barrington and they said that my mother in laws appointment was in Elgin, which we have never gone to before. The office people who schedule us has messed up 2 times too many and its hard enough to get my elderly mother in law to her appointments as it is. She will be searching for a new doctor whose office staff is more competent. I would not recommend this place.

Dont bother, look for better place rude, and cant keep the word. Before endoscopy they said that out pocket will be $50 but after procedure gave me bill for $420. I paid $50 as agreed so they put me in collections for $370. This office, will never see me, my family or my friends. How much of experience do you need to calculate out of pocket expense to put a camera in my nose to tell that deviated septum needs correction? Best way to lose your business: dont keep your word. Keep going this way and soon you will close your office. In a past you could threaten us (patients) with collections etc., now we have ability to spread a word online about you and your services.
