My husbands Dr is great. But trying to get them to pick up the phone is a ridiculous feat. Ive been on the phone for 10 minutes.

The doctors at this practice are truly good. I would have given more stars but, because most of the receptionists (not all of them but, most of them) of the receptionists working there have the attitude and performance of substandard commitment. I noticed here in other client patients remarks there is truly a long standing serious issue situation with most of the receptionist staff. I never desire to be the messenger of not so good news but, it needs to be addressed to the receptionist staff. It is long overdue. Most of the receptionists at this practice don’t care when it comes to calling them at the office because they all habitually make you wait on the phone for a live body to finally decide to pick up the telephone while you are on hold for a full 35 to 50 minutes at a time and EVERY time you call this office is totally unacceptable! There are times when you are on hold for such an extremely long time when they finally pick up the phone from hold and hang up on you without even speaking to you. I have always been very respectful and cordial with all of the receptionists of this practice. I truly know from firsthand experience what it is precisely like to be a professional administration secretary having performed a lifelong career of it myself. Certainly, it is not an easy job, trust me but, I had never ever treated clients poorly from feeling stressed from my demanding job nor, keep clients on hold on the phone for unreasonable amounts of time nor, hang up on them just because I feel “overwhelmed” from performing the many demanding tasks and answering ceaseless phone calls simultaneously. Many difficult challenges come with the territory in the secretarial/receptionist occupation. That is why you are hired and paid to do. It is what we are paid to do. If someone cannot no longer handle theirjob they need to start looking for a new different job occupation elsewhere. Another issue with the receptionist staff at this medical practice is there have been incidents when you are unaware your appointment day and time are changed or canceled without your knowledge. No one at this office practice has the courtesy to call you by phone to notify you nor, leave a message on your voicemail, nor text you to let you know when they changed your appointment day and time or canceled your appointment. This type of unacceptable behavior hurts the medical practice reputation, hurts the doctors reputations, and especially hurts the client cardiac heart patients whose very lives are direly dependent upon the help and medical services of the doctors at this practice group. I noticed there are other numerous complaints here from other patients on the medical receptionists of this practice group going as far back as 2017. The medical receptionist staff truly need a major overhaul. P.S. I have been a patient at a prior large MedStar Cardiology group practice in another county (PGC) in Maryland before I moved to Baltimore. Their medical reception staff at the prior MedStar Cardiology large group practice in Prince George’s County before I moved to Baltimore were truly committed to their job and to all patients. They NEVER had you hanging on hold on the phone for no longer than 10 minutes. They had great excellent communication skills with a friendly professional demeanor with all medical staff and the patients at all times. They were very much on top of all patient and doctors affairs and situations consistently. And, they would ALWAYS contact you to NOTIFY you in the event they had either changed your doctor appointment or canceled it. Please help. Thank you so very, very much. Best Regards

I would have rated more, Doctor Patel is the best Cardiologist I have met. He is very professional and knowledgeable in this field. He is prompt with my referrals and Meds, but some of the receptionist give me palpitations. They are not professional at all on the phone. They keep you waiting for so long on the phone. Some of their attitudes bother on rudeness. One even told me she could not find my record, when I have been a patient for a couple of months. I wish the office manager can look into this and have an overhaul of the Front Office.

This was the worst experience that I have ever had with a doctors office. I had a very important appointment with a cardiologist that I had waited weeks for. I was denied service and asked to leave because I previously had Covid 17 days prior and never hospitalized. I had documentation from the state affirming this. Their reception/office staff had no idea what their own policy was and took 15 minutes to try and find any information on it. Then this staff was unable to properly read their own policy which clearly states a 10 day wait for someone who was diagnosed with Covid and a 20 day wait if they were hospitalized. Taken from their own website, A visitor with a history of COVID-19 may be permitted to visit:10 days after diagnosis if visitor did not require hospitalization.20 days after diagnosis if visitor did require hospitalization. Finally an office manager emerged after I had been asking for over 30 minutes to see them. She was also unable to read and process their own policy on Covid and denied me my appointment. It will take me another month to go through all of this process again with another doctor. Very stressful when it comes to heart health. How can a cardiologists office that deals with patients at risk for potential heart attacks not have any clue what their covid policy is? Worse yet, how can a cardiologist office staff be so incompetent that they are unable to read and comprehend their own policies? I would not trust the health of my dog to this office. I was embarrassed and humiliated with this experience.

My visit was different for me. The ladies up front were fine. When I made my appointment did not have that long of a wait time. But my visit with the Dr. Was pretty sad. Never had a doctor ask me what tests we should do or not do.That is why I came there to find out. Sorry I am not a doctor, I dont know what tests I need or what treatment I need. If that is the case I could have saved myself some money and scheduled my own tests. The EKG I did bring talked about a possible left blockage and he was telling me that I do not have a right blockage during the visit. Already to go somewhere else. Going to give them one more shot.

Good doctors, but worst ever phone receptionist that do not care about patients at all. Most lazy and are of no help.Called to set up an appointment for test, was told i cant set up one cause it has to be authorized, i said it was authorized and without even checking was told none avail and got an attitude with me. This is not the 1st time i been treated rudely , i give 2 stars cause the doctors are decent, but phone secretaries can be downright evil , and we wont even get into hold times.

Well I agree with the other person here, when you try and call to set up an appointment to see a doctor or to have a text done good luck.my doctor here is dawn kirshner she is a very good doctor who sent me for a stress text.after having that done it came back inconclusive so she said her office would be calling me to set up a CT with contrast mind you after trying to contact to set the CT up it only took seven yes seven phone calls and just over a year to have her office call me back and set up the CT scan.so beside that she is a very good doctor.so I would give the doctors here 5 stars, and the office staff a score of one star, they have to many people working in the office who either don’t care and they don’t care if you know they don’t care.....or who are just plain bubble heads and couldn’t tell you what 1+1 is.so good luck with the office staff,if you get past them and their incompetent office manager you will be doing good

If you need to call them you better devote a whole afternoon to sit on hold. Front end office staff are lazy and rude. Nothing against the physicians themselves but reception staff is horrible.

Reaching this office by phone is INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT and so aggravating that it could beconsidered life threatening. The average HOLD time, in my experience, has been over 25 minutes. This is unacceptible in 2017.

To set up an appointment, you call, leave a message, and they call you back 24-48 hours. Which, first off, is strange to me that they dont have a person to make appointments with you immediately, I mean you are going and spending a little a lot of your money and a lot of your insurers money to see them. But heres the kicker, they dont regularly call back. This will be my 5th time calling today over the period of 1 1/2 weeks. They called back one time, I was working and couldnt answer the phone, I called right back and had to leave a message again and had to wait again for 24-48 hours for a call back....which never happened. After I get my test done, I am not using their services anymore.UPDATE: I called again this morning at 0830 and never did receive a phone call. I will be going elsewhere completely. On my doctors orders, Ive been trying to schedule an echocardiogram for a week and a half. Ridiculous.

On hold for 2 minutes to schedule my appointment. I have already had 2 Echocardiograms and the tech is friendly and professional.
