I have terrible anxiety about getting anesthesia injections, but Laurice made me feel so comfortable. Dr. Chase is amazing! She let me know everything she was doing during my treatment and made me feel completely at ease.I’m very happy I switched to this practice.

This is the third time I needed to have a filling over the past several years for three different teeth. Each time the experience has been pain-free and efficient. Todays team of Laurie and Dr. Chase was all that and super fun with which to engage!!!

My experience here was professional, pleasant with great results. I love that I was told each step of the way what was about to occur. This woman run practice is fabulous.

I was five minutes late because my parking garage had the entrance blocked by a crane, and I had to drive around to find parking when I arrived because their lot was full. Allegedly they had several hours worth of dental work scheduled, but couldn’t fit me in. They also change the amount I owe each time I come in, differing from the original estimate, so I never know how many hundreds or thousands that I owe. Unless you just have ten grand in an account for dental work, I highly suggest finding a dentist that makes literally any effort to inform you of costs, and who don’t over book. I wonder who they gave the three hours they had allegedly booked for me to.

Good practice, but unfortunately takes super long to schedule appointments. Have been trying to schedule one since December 2020, and have gotten pushed to August 2021. Also staff keep misspelling my name...

Going to the dentist will always be a source of fear/anxiety for me but I can say that despite this, Tanya and Dr. Gupta made the experience much more bearable. They were super nice and quick do whatever was needed to make me more comfortable. :)

Wow not sure what Dr. Tomicka Jackson-George, DMD, P.A. is practicing or where all the nice reviews come from. I tried but I cant. Tried to book. Placed on hold again after 1654 minutes I hung up, I wanted to see why, so I called back, the receptionist answered, I informed her of being on hold, she replied, okay, I have a patient here so what do you want? I THOUGHT NOTHING! I gracefully replied thats okay thanks. I believe Dr. Tomicka Jackson-George, DMD, P.A. doesnt like HMO patients, so I would watch her billing practice. But why sign up to accept something you dont want???

I totally agree with all of the positive feedback about Dr. Jackson-George and her wonderful staff. I have had to get a lot of work done on these aging teeth of mine, and I dont even mind having going to the dentist!Dr. George is very caring and thorough, and during a procedure she always signals you what she is going to be doing next, and how long it is going to be until the next step in the process. Incredible experience (I know, strange thing to say about a trip to the dentist). From the time of scheduling my appointment, to scheduling my next visit—everyone was so kind, comforting, and accommodating. Antonetta was an unbelievable help in scheduling my initial appointment and was an absolute delight. Nicole, my dental hygienist, provided the most comfortable, pain-free cleaning and evaluation (I hate those picks and even that portion was completely fine). Dr. George is incredibly knowledgeable and generous with her time during the consultation.Honestly, looking forward to my next visit. Great work by everyone.

This dental office is the best one I ever experienced. All stuffs are so nice, every time when I visit this place, I feel like at home. I particularly like and thank Dr. George, She is the only doctor who found a crack in my tooth which I spend months and visited many dentists for the terrible suffer, unbelievably all didnt see problem in that teeth! Finally and fortunately I met Dr. George, she immediately found this crack... I would say she saved my life, Just like others said, Dr. George has super knowledgeable skill. This is a trusted dental office.

Simply Ignore the construction going on coming to the dental office, we are in a fast pace world and they are moving on up . . . well downstairs :-); because once you arrive to the office you are greeted with a smile by one of a few well staffed and friendly front desk attendants. The transition is swift and smooth from the front to the back and the Dentist are very nice and the rooms are state of the art and comfortable (not just white) like some insane asylum. I felt welcome and like how I felt mattered, and thats a big deal esp. in this society where you talk to computers for most business transactions and chivalry in offices are all but a distant memory. I give this dental office an A+.

The absolute best dentist I have had in my entire life. The professionalism, the genuine care and concern an impeccable bedside manner. The gentle touch and patience is incomparable. Ms. Martha my hygientist is awesome as well she takes her time to talk with you and ensure you understand how to properly care for your teeth.

This place is amazing. Every person in this office is very nice and caring. I literally dont remember going to an office where I have been treated with such care. The office assistants are very helpful and , the dental assistants are very good at their jobs. Dr. Humphrey and Dr. Tomicka George are both amazing dentists. I wish I could give them 10 stars.

The office staff are always very nice- I really like all the staff that have been there since Dr Mastella. And Martha is the best! But theyre clearly more concerned with getting paid than the customer. After paying almost $6,000 for my Invisalign (though my teeth have since reverted to their original state) , they now insist on charging me $50 for every cleaning rather than accepting what my insurance pays for the cleaning like most dentists and other doctors. Especially in the midst of the current economic crisis when I explained my financial situation. I think Ill be going elsewhere to a dentist thats more concerned with the patients than payment.

I can honestly say I ENJOYED my dentist visit today, a first!!! Everyone was welcoming and helpful, and the office is clean and cheerful. Shoutout to Tanya, who was fantastic...so personable and helpful (I asked a lot of questions). Dr. George was also patient and warm, and very reassuring about procedures I need. I felt in excellent hands from the moment I made the appointment on the phone until I left the office. My friend recommended this practice to me, and I will be doing the same with my friends.

I had to get a crown today. The whole experience was explained to me from the beginning. I had a wonderful experience. It was relatively pain free. I dont know how Dr. George has figured out pain- free needles. The staff is the best.They just need to be your Dentist.

5 stars aren’t enough to rate my experience with this dental practice. After a very very long dental hiatus, I made an appointment here and every single member of the staff I encountered was beyond caring and comforting. Tonya made it feel more like hanging out with a friend than a dental appointment! Dr. Humphries was very kind and explained my treatment plan very thoroughly. I’m actually excited to get all my teeth taken care of and then get back on a regular 6 month schedule! If you’re looking for a new dentist, whether you’ve been away for 6 months or 6 years, definitely do yourself a favor and go see this group.

I went to Dr. Tomicka because I needed a new dentist upon my recent arrival in Baltimore. I chose her after a search on my insurance directory because of her excellent reviews. The reviews proved themselves to be accurate when I had my appointment today. Everyone in the office was extremely pleasant to deal with and I felt like people were taking the time to ask me questions and listen to my answers. No one felt rushed even though I could see they were busy. I was seen on time and they made sure I wasnt in pain during the procedures. Loved it and looking forward to being back in 6 months!

I have been going here since I was a baby and they are the absolute best! They always give me the best advice on how to properly take care of my teeth at home. They were great when I had braces as a kid and knew exactly how to take care of my teeth. Melynda took care of me as a kid and was always a pleasure. I am so impressed by the kind and caring staff! Firstly, I was so happy to receive a text offering an earlier appointment...but sad to have to turn down the opportunity because I had my four month old baby and no one to watch him. I was encouraged to bring him! And Im so glad I did! The staff was wonderful, played with my baby while I had x-rays taken, and made me feel welcome as a new patient and a new mom. Tonya was so sweet and so were all the other staff that I met. I saw Dr. Humphries, who took the time to answer all of my questions and was so patient and kind. I will be recommending this amazing team to everyone who wants a great dentist!

I had a filling done yesterday, and although that experience is never pleasant, Dr. George managed to make it as comfortable and I think it could have been. She and the staff were very concerned with my comfort, and checked in often. She encourages questions from her patients and takes the time to answer them thoroughly. She administered the local anesthetic is a much less painful way than Ive experienced at other dentists. She also explained what she was doing through the whole process, which I value in a doctor. Ive been going to get my teeth cleaned here for two years, so I already liked them, but my experience yesterday really made it worth writing a positive review.

This was my fourth or fifth or sixth visit… I’m not sure. The review from my second visit is below. This review covers my most recent visits. This outfit is by far the best dental office I have ever been. I spent way more money here than any other place but I had a lot of stuff done. They’re friendly staff, the professionalism from everyone.... other practices could learn from these folks. She made what might be an unpleasant visit A-OK. Dr. George gave me comforting words as to where we are and what we have to do and in what timeline. This practice has super knowledgeable, careful and caring staff. Explanations of every action are given and one feels respected and cared for among these people.My opinion can be summed up in two words: None better!.

The staff is super nice and attentive. The dentist is great. The office manager on the other hand were rude and dismissive. I asked before hand how much I would be paying for the procedures and when I found out I promptly paid. Then surprisingly, random bills start showing up. When questioned about the bill, all the office manager kept kept saying was the insurance didnt cover it.

Awesome staff especially Mel and Tanya. I have been with them for at least couple of years. Best and only dentist option in Mount Vernon.

As a mother of three young kids, I refer to my appointments as a “spa day” for a reason! Natasha is an excellent hygienist who is caring, efficient, and informative. I have worked with both Dr. Jackson-George and Dr. Humphries and they are personable and professional, as well! Lastly, the front office staff recently took the time to contact my insurance company to find out what the cost of a new mouth guard would be and followed up within hours of my appointment. Everyone takes care of you here!

I’ve been going to the same dentist my whole life and have been putting off going since I moved. Just went for my first visit here and the staff was so welcoming and made my visit stress free. T was super sweet and knowledgeable, she also made me feel like I was at the spa and not at the dentist! I also have no dental insurance and they were great about working with me to make my visit affordable. I can’t wait to go back for my cleaning at the end of the month!

This was my first visit to the denist in a long time. The staff was very friendly, and professional. Office was clean, and welcoming (ignore the construction going on) The hygenist (Nicole) was very welcoming, and friendly. Dr. Jackson-George was very nice, she discussed with me her findings, and recommendations and answered my questions fully. Highly recommend this office.

This is an excellent office. The people are efficient, friendly, and they do a great job. I dont think I have ever waited longer than 10 minutes after arriving to be seen. Martha is hilarious/friendly and I definitely recommend trying to schedule any cleaning with her. They even show you proper technique for brushing and flossing. This seems like something that should happen at any dentist, but I have never experienced it. It was useful to learn that I had been flossing the wrong way. Definitely schedule an appointment here!

Great experience! I got seen quickly and Dr. Tomicka Jackson-George was friendly and took a few minutes to get to know me before checking my teeth. Went there recently with my 4 year old son. They were awesome. Made him feel so comfortable! It was so much fun for him that he was excited to talk about it, get his gifts and new toothbrush, and was extremely proud of his teeth. Theyve also done a nice job updating the interior with more calming paint colors and beautiful artist paintings. I definitely recommend Dr. Jackson-George!

I was looking for a dentist office that was close and this one has a great location. The front end staff got all my insurance straight over the phone before my appointment, which was convenient. My old dentist was able to email my old x-rays.Everyone was kind and friendly and the office had a nice, home town feel. Of course everything was clean and hygienic, but some places feel overly sterile and impersonal.Will definitely be going back, and not just because I had a cavity!

This was my first visit after having been referred by a friend. I was seen very quickly and received a full set of X-Rays by a kind and competent member of the dental staff. Dr. Tanner then gave me a thorough exam (explaining what she was doing and why along the way) and laid out a treatment plan for me based on her findings. She answered all of my questions patiently and had a great chair-side manner. The entire staff was wonderful, and, because I do not have dental coverage and am a self-paying patient, I was really pleased to have been given a significant professional discount on my bill. Additionally, the billing staff was extremely helpful in recommending a dental savings plan to help reduce costs, as well as referring me to an oral surgeon who also participates in the same plan. I honestly cant say enough good things about this first visit. I will most certainly be a repeat customer and will recommend this office to my friends!

Dr. George and the entire staff at her practice were warm and welcoming, with no judgment passed for someone like myself who hasnt been keeping up with dental exams as much as someone should. Making an appointment was easy, and once in the exam chair Dr. George explained exactly what she was was assessing and described what I needed to do to stay on top of my dental health. Her dental hygienists are very communicative and check in with you through the process to make sure you are as comfortable as you can be. I found this office via a friends referral, and am very happy to have a great dentist again!

Today I received a routine cleaning. I get them quarterly. This office overall has been consist in being very professional from the women at the front desk, the technicians and the doctors.Today was exceptional! Ms. Martha Reeves performed my cleaning and I immediately recognized her warm and comforting bedside manner. She was thorough, checked in with me often and Martha is a perfectionist. She reviewed the cleaning and went over areas that needed some extra attention. Martha gave me some 101 about my electric tooth brush and because of her recommendation I received a fluoride treatment in which Ive also strongly suggested to my husband as well. Ive been in customer service for 25 years and I know EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE!

I was searching for a new dentist since I had moved and had previously sustained a facial injury that needed some dental attention. The office is incredibly helpful over the phone and in person, everyone is genuinely happy to help, and the hygienists are great. I got an honest cleaning (Dr. Jackson-George doesnt just stop in for two seconds and say your teeth look fine) and solid referrals. Recently I had a complication and stopped in to see if I could get squeezed in for an appointment later in the week, and they were able to set me up right away, with minimal wait time. I didnt get rushed in and out. I highly recommend this office and am really glad I found them!

So I gave this business a second chance. Figured I have to at least try again. Called back and I must say that I was impressed with the woman I spoke with on the phone. She was very pleasant and went above and beyond to make up for the horrible experience from earlier. I was able to secure my appointment and iron out the issue with my dental plan. I’m pretty sure my appointment will go smoothly and pleasantly. Will be posting a review after my appointment on the 24 Jan. I’m glad that I didn’t allow one negative Nancy to ruin my outlook on a potential business relationship.

Stephen is the best dentist ever, enough said. Plus everyone there is very professional (how refreshing to have a front desk of highly professional, yet nice people). Ive been treated by Mastella & Associates for about 2 years now after trying to find a primary dentist for 10 years. I can say with confidence that they are the best and most reliable I have found in a decade of searching. They also are extensively involved in the community with volunteer work, and they call you back to see how you are doing. They are sincere and talented. I have seen dozens of dentists in Baltimore, and I highly recommend them.

Got a ton of reminders about my appointment, including a text two hours before the scheduled time, so there was no way I couldve missed it! I am a medical student and have visited Stephen B Mastella once for teeth fills and several times for regular plaque removals. The doctor has both the knowledge needed to perform almost any job and the patience to explain every detail about the procedure he is performing.Several members of my family visited him a couple of times and were all delighted with their experience.The only con that is preventing me from giving an excellent review is that the office could do with a little bit of work.

I have never in all of my 57 years been a patient at a dentist office that made me feel as welcome and comfortable as this one!!! Dr. Jackson-George has to be the best dentist in all of Baltimore. Her kindness and patience go beyond what you would ever expect and her hygenist, Martha is fabulous! Really, the best hygenist in the world..Overall, I can honestly say the staff is the friendliest and most professional I have ever encountered. I would recommend this dentist to anyone!!!! They really are the best.

Been a patient of Dr. Mastella for more than 20 years. In addition to being highly competent, he does not rush one through and does a thorough professional job. He is patient, clear about what is being done, and also personable and kind. And often has some lame, but cool joking going on that puts one at ease and establishes a wonderful bond. Not the cheapest services, but a real gem of a dentist with a superb office staff. Well-organized with almost no wait time.

My mom referred me here and I’m so glad she did, Ms.T was awesome and so nice and down to earth, everybody was very welcoming. Dr.Jackson-George was great in her consultation, she provided me with what I needed for my aching tooth, I walked away understanding fully what was going on and I will DeFinitely be back for a full exam. I have been going to the office of Dr. Stephen B. Mastella & Associates for quite a number of years and I have always received excellent service from them.The staff is friendly and helpful, but more importantly they are efficient and professional. In the past, I have always feared going to the dentist, but not any longer, because my visits at Dr. Mastellas office are now more relaxing and carefree. Some of my friends who I recommended go to this office and like me they are still satisfied with the service as well. I literally contacted Dr. Mastellas office in the middle of a dental emergency and the administrative staff was so caring and efficient that they got me in for an appointment within days of my call. I have had a total of 4 appointments at this office and I can honestly say that every single person who works here - whether it be admin, dental hygienist, Dr. Mastella himself, or one of his colleagues - is efficient, caring, and competent. They are really concerned with the well-being of the patient overall. When my insurance was unwilling to pay for certain procedures they were willing to work with me so that I could pay out of pocket but in a way that wouldnt bring me hardship, and they also gave me whatever discount could be applied. If I hadnt moved to Greenbelt I am sure I wouldve called this my one and only dental office for years to come!

I felt welcomed from the start. Customer service was great, staff is knowledgeable and very professional. Everything was explained clearly. Office environment is very pleasant.

I have had a long history with dentist-phobia and avoided dentists for about ten years since I moved to Baltimore. I finally made myself go this year and Im happy I found the right place! Its easy to find, conveniently close to work, appointments were always on-time, everyone was nice, friendly, professional, and most importantly non-judgmental, and did a great job - none of the procedures hurt at all. I had appointments for the first exam, two root canals, two rebuilds, and will have a crown fitting next. Ill definitely return on a regular 6- or 12-month basis. Thank you!

I was very pleased with my experience, even though I got a little lost finding the office. The arrows help, and they are moving to the first floor soon, which will make navigation for those like me with directional issues easier. I also loved the free parking--what a bonus for Mt. Vernon! The visit took a bit longer than I expected for just an exam to confirm no dental issues were potentially fatal, (cleaning comes later) because they had to check with my insurance about what was covered in terms of x-rays and a mouth guard. I appreciated that A LOT, because Im pretty sure most practices would just do whatever and go to town on your teeth and then charge you a bazillion dollars. Also, they confirmed that I wasnt going to die anytime soon from tooth rot or filling loss or anything, so that was reassuring. Everyone was super nice and the setting is really cool for a dentist office. Good music, too. The only negative is that I asked for a toothbrush, which all dentists usually give you like theyre throwing pennies in a fountain, and was told I wouldnt get one until my subsequent cleaning appointment. Its JUST a toothbrush! Give them out all willy-nilly like! They probably have a LOT of them from like Crest and Colgate sales reps!! The payment lady gave me one because I wouldnt stop whining about it. I appreciated that. Its just the principle of it all. I can surely afford a new toothbrush, but getting a free one at the dentist is like a nice thing. Something for you to remember the dentist by. Also, I know mouth guards are probably like a big thing all dentists recommend, but I totally need one because I clench and grind my teeth like a monkey on crack. Other dentists have recommended them, but the price was always like $600. I will chew on a sock before I pony up $600. But the dentist said it was pretty non-negotiable, and the payment lady checked my insurance, and I can get one for like $210 at Jackson George! So Im totally going to do that. I dont even know if my other dentists checked to see if it was partially covered! Yay Jackson George for saving me some cash! And saving my teeth! Please reconsider the toothbrush thing. And please dont think that FLOSS would be a good substitute for a FREE TOOTHBRUSH. Who flosses? If you guys can invent an easy flossing tool, youd be wildly famous. In short: Very strong recommendation for this practice. I was very happy. Except for the toothbrush thing. Did I mention the toothbrush thing? Cant wait for my cleaning. Thank you!
