I have been going to first choice dentistry for almost 2 years now and the staff has always been very nice. This place deserves 5 stars but I’m giving it 4 this time because the new receptionist they have at the front is rude. They always had Janet at the front and she’s really nice and I always liked having conversations with her. Every time I would go in she would ask about my kids and how everything was going. The new girl they have now won’t even look at me when I walk in even when I stand right in front of her I have to say something for her to look up. I understand she’s probably training or something but I feel that when you are new in a position dealing with people, that’s the time when you should be trying to earn your position and do your job and at least greet people. I go in once a month for my braces and this last time I just felt like I had to say something because honestly she makes me feel like not going there anymore.

This dentist is very skilled and professional. I always feel like I’m in good hands. Plus the staff is really friendly and accommodating. Good dentist, good office. Great dental experience.

When you walk into First Choice Dental you are greeted by a friendly staff. Genette Is very kind, helpful and professional every visit. Delores took care of my crown needs and she is extremely kind and efficient. Dr. Mossaei is one of the best dentist I’ve experienced so far efficiency in his practice is 5 stars across the board. I don’t know everyone’s name but all the ladies there hand down are super friendly and experienced. My family highly recommends First Choice Dentistry for your dental needs.

Never going to this dentist again I do not recommend this dentist place the ladies in the front are rude. Have to to cancel appointment due to work and other situations since I canceled receptionist In the front told me they will be sending me a dismissal to not scheduled and appointment ever again!! What kind of dental place does this. How will business grows orPeople even go if things like this happen I honestly do not recommend this place for anyone it’s very unprofessional. Please don’t go here there are better dental places to assist who will be very understanding when canceling an appointment and will read you cancellation policy In there office and not tell you last minute. Dr. Mossaei and his staff are excellent dental providers. They are thorough, punctual, and professional. It was as my first visit but they really made me feel like a valued long time patient. I would definitely recommend their services!

Well where shall I start I had my first visit in December and the staff was very nice and welcoming. Dr Mossaei and his staff are Amazing. The I told Jeanette I dont get impressed very often since its hard to find good customer service Nowadays but Wow! Jeanette is Amazing she answered all my questions and concerns and helped me utilize all my Insurance benefits and got me in before the end of the year. I highly recommend this office. People say dentist I panic!! Something about going to the dentist scares me, however here I felt comfortable, they are very knowledgeable and honest. It’s hard to find good dentist who care about their patients am lucky to have found our new family dentist ..I highly recommend them.

Took my son in for a check up and wasn’t sure what to expect since he is only 4. However, I was very impressed with the staff and Dr throughout the entire process of the exam, treatment, and visit over all.Dr. Mossaei took care of my sons cavity, needless to say we will definitely be returning!

Super rude doctorDefinitely Last Choice.

It’s been a really long time since I’ve been to the dentist and the Dr took very good care of me. His staff informed me of my insurance benefits and explained everything I needed to know regarding treatment and what it will cost and possible timelines for every outcome. There is one staff member who is younger who seems to be newer than the rest but the Dr has lots of patience with them. Also with both of my visits I felt no pain and very little discomfort when they did a root canal. Also I have a very strong gag reflex and they helped me with different techniques which helped me help them while taking my x-rays. I did have to wait in the waiting room for about 30 min past my appointment time but this doctor is worth the wait. Did I mention that they are very friendly here.

I came here as a new patient back in April/May, needing a root canal done. Im a very nervous person with dentist work with high anxiety. This was a very bad experience for me, it took an hour and half almost two hours long which was very uncomfortable. Then I had to go back in the office for the temporary crown which was silver cap that kept coming off and hurt everytime I had to have it put on, I was in so much pain I had to eat soup for two weeks or longer in pain barely able to eat until my porcelain crown came in. When it finally did come in, it didnt fit! Now I had to have a temporary cap put back on and waited another week. Finally got my permanent one and it was not placed on straight. My mouth has been so uncomfortable ever since, Ive had to go to another dentist to find out the only way to fix this is have this one taken off (which I paid cash for a porcelain crown wasnt cheap at all coming from a single mother during a pandemic) and replace it with a new one going to have to pay all over again!!! So Im basically out of the money and crown I paid for and been in uncomfort for the longest time over this not able to have it fix until I can afford this again. Uneasy situation Im in over this. I am not one to ever complain I just roll with the problem, but this has had me uncomfortable and unfixed for months now.

I started going to this dentist last month, I had let a horrible cavity develop and grow to the point it need an extraction. They were able to extract the tooth the same day, the assistants are amazing and funny and the dentist knows what he is doing. I felt no pain during the procedure and I am currently healing with no problems. Like I said earlier the staff is great and really do care.

A very good office and we all know dental work has discomfort but they do their best to make it tolerable.

So i chipped my tooth on the night before New Years Eve. I was so embarrassed and didnt wanna go to my familys get together for the New Year celebration if I wasnt able to get it fixed. Called multiple dentists but they said they werent able to take walk ins. Called First Choice Dentistry and even though my insurance wouldnt cover it and I was a new walk-in patient they were able to take care of me last minute. Got my chipped tooth filled in and now i cant even tell its been filled in. Forever grateful for all the amazing and friendly staff!! As well as the amazing work from the doctor!! Would recommend 10/10!

My wife went to First Choice as a referral and it was a well run machine! The receptionist was very helpful before the appointment, helping her navigate coming in with a handful of complications (due to uncertain dental issues and ills related). The hygienist (or tech) was also very helpful, clearly well equipped and kind. She helped my wife understand the details of the complicated situation with honesty, clarity and kindness. The doctor was also on point! He was honest, clear, kind, and stretching himself to help where he could.I can not say how impressed we were with her visit!Its not the most beautiful office, but we are on Medi-Cal so thats the least of our concerns. Everything that mattered seemed to be in great condition, clean, and there was a great feel of the staff really working together, which felt rare. Thank you Dr. Mossaei and staff!

This is the best dentist Ive been to. The receptionist is very on top of things and personable. She remembers individual patient cases, moves the check-in process along quickly, and is great about call backs and reminders. She is also happy to answer questions or talk to the insurance company or doctor for you. The dental assistants are very nice and understanding of any concerns I may have and check in with me throughout procedures. They also are quite knowledgeable and answer questions. The office is clean and comfortable and the room is always prepped for my procedures before I go in, with my x rays and patient info already pulled up on the screen. Dr. Mossaei is a great dentist. He is calm, very efficient, and quick to respond to concerns. He communicates openly with his staff to help move proceduees along smoothly which I appreciate. I generally have issues with still feeling pain after local anasthetic is administered but never at this dentist.I had to get a crown recently and had never had this procedure done so I was a bit nervous. The dental isolation system was pretty uncomfortable for me and I was choking on saliva because I was unable to swallow with the device in my mouth. Dr. Mossaei was very aware of my discomfort and quickly decided to remove the device and complete the crown without it despite it being more difficult for him. I was at the office for a total of two hours to get a deep cleaning and a crown on a very decayed tooth, which I think is excellent especially considering I made it difficult for the staff. At the end they even offered me a free tooth whitening kit!

Took my son as an emergency patient last month, great experience, the staff is very nice and friendly.. he got 2 extractions and the procedure was fast and they explain everything very well... definitely going back for future dental appts..

10/10 recommended this office. This was my first time going to this dental office and was super pleased with my choice. The assistant was very caring and made sure I was comfortable the whole time which was great, but more importantly the doctor did an amazing job with his work. Literally the best Dr in town. He’s caring, explains procedures thoroughly for you to understand, very patient and very kind. I highly recommend him without a doubt. I brought my three year old daughter to first choice dentistry and she did amazing!!! She had one cavity and they filled it the same day. I didn’t think my daughter would let herself but they offered her nitrous and she sat through the whole procedure!!! I really recommend this place!

Dr. Allen is good. The only time I experienced any pain was from the shot. They are good at explaining everything and keeping you informed on whats going on and the process.

The doctors dont spend the time to clean your teeth. They would just do a little bit check up and cleaning for 5 minutes and you all done. They just care about making money, by serving more people. Finally , I am not going to go there anymore nor my family and all of my relatives and friends.

Absolutely, hands down the BEST.I have never found going to the dentist a pleasant experience, in fact its always been quite the opposite. I knew it was time to take care of an issue I had been dealing with (for 10 years). Being a patient of malpractice at another local office, I was weary of whom to trust and who could actually take care of me, so I did some research and found First Choice Dentistry.I made an appointment by phone and they where able to see me in 2 days (so quick).When I walked in, their office was clean and beautifully designed and I was greeted by not one but two friendly faces.I was immediately checked-in and had no wait time (as soon as I finished my paper work I went back).The x-ray tech was friendly and informative, she was already on a mission to put me at ease (I think she sensed how nervous I was).After the x-rays the Doctor came in and informed me what would need to happen.He would be leaving for vacation soon, but wanted to make sure he would be here for my procedure and at least a week to follow! I found that so impressive. He showed genuine concern, I was more than just another patient, he actually cared about my aftercare and wanted to make sure HE would be in town and be the person doing my check up. (In the past I have had doctors who didnt care if I even received a follow up, let alone made sure that they were the ones doing the actual checking up)My invasive procedure went extremely well, I felt no pain, and both he and his assistant kept making sure I was ok and reassuring me it was going well.He did an excellent job, so well in fact, the days to follow I was in minimal pain.I really could go on and on, I cant say enough good things about this practice.I truly recommend First Choice Dentistry to all my friends and family, and to anyone in the Kern County Area!

I’m having a problem with a filled tooth. I was told two-three months time would allow the sensitivity to go away. The sensitivity is getting worse. I think the tooth was beyond repair with a filling. I may have paid for a filling just to turn around and pay for a root canal. My scheduled cleaning was also canceled by the office.

So far I had 1 visit with this dentist. He addressed my concern and have a follow up appointment next week. Will come back. Do recommend!!

First Choice Dentistry is the very best dentist in Bakersfield. I have been going to Dr. Mossaei since he was Brilliant Dental Care in the Valley Plaza Mall. I hope that if you are looking for a dentist, that you go here. They go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. There was a time when I was getting a crown, and had my temporary. My temporary messed up and he was willing to drive back from LA, from training, to take care of me after hours. The staff is great at taking quick x-rays. Dr. always tells me all my options and explains each option is complete detail. I love my dentist and I know you will too!!!!

I would like to thank First Choice Dentistry for getting me in right away when I was having excruciating pain unable to sleep at night due to a toothache. They were able to see me the same day for an emergency root canal and get me out of the pain that I was having. I normally would not go to the dentist because I had a bad experience as a child. The assistants and Dr explained everything thoroughly for me and made the experience as comfortable as possible. I am now actually excited to go back for my cleaning and take care of the rest of my mouth. Once again thank you First Choice Dentistry!

My experience here was very nice, the staff and Dr. Mossaie had patience with me. I really liked how he explained treatment that I needed and why, with x-rays and pictures. That was very helpful and management was very helpful with understanding my insurance with how much they cover. So I would recommend family and friends to this office with Dr. Mossaies quality work and professionalism.

I have seen him twice and both times I waited for 2 hours before he got to me. I had to ask the staff multiple times when he was going to see me, and the always answered soon but it took him forever to come. I have never had such a poor experience with a dentist.

Dr. Mossai makes sure your well informed. And gets the job done right. Ive had 3 root canals in my 59 yrs., but this was the first time I didnt feel like I got kicked in the jaw after the novacaine wore off. All the staff is very professional, courteous, attentive to your needs. Prices are fair and Im glad to find a great dental office in Bakersfield without being overcharged.

Normally dont post reviews, but everyone in this office is nice . Most importantly the Dentist takes time to explain any findings and treatments. Also , he listens and replies to any concerns. Great Dentist

How can I start I came in with a huge fear to the dentist but as soon as i walked in I was greeted and I felt a little more at ease but then I got called back and I was very nervous but luckily I got an amazing assistant by the name Jessica and she explained to me what we were going to do took my xrays and asked me if I had anything concerning she was very attentive to what I was saying and made me so comfortable. The doctor was AMAZING he explained what I needed throughly and I can definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family thank you First Choise Dentistry for making me feel more at ease!

Great experience since the day i walked in. Dr.Allen will take good care of you, his staff is great, very respectful, and a welcoming environment. (Not like other dentists that have a pretentious/stuck up staff) im glad i came here.
