Love, love, love! To say you’ve had a pleasant time at the dentist is rare. The reception is cozy, it feels like you’ve walked into someone living room. Once I went to the back everything was so clean and it smelled AMAZING. Noticing all the small touches made me feel so comforted and a lot less anxious to being there.I have to go back in 6 weeks to get a filling - possibly a crown. I’ll make sure to update my post!

Dr Krause amber and all the employees there are always great. You can really feel that dr Krause does care for each and every one of his patients individually. I’ve had a lot of work done over the past 8 years with dr Krause and each time it’s like seeing a family member instead of a dr…..Fast forward 6 hours after my emergency appointment I know I will be able to sleep tonight I will always have my nerve and back pain but my tooth infection will not be holding me back from getting some needed sleep. I’ve been taking antibiotics but nothing has helped, oregel did not help. Dr Krause prescribed me an antibiotic that is what I call a magic pill. Here I am 6 hours later with about 45% less pain in my mouth thanks to amber and dr Krause getting me in to get me on a game plan for a root canal service day after tomorrow and antibiotic that is I believe a life changer. I couldn’t even bend my head forward due to blood flow to my tooth causing extreme pain this time yesterday and in just 6 hours I can drink water and brush my teeth with half the pain. If only there was a magic pill like this to keep me from having chronic pain in my back legs and nerves I’d have it made in the shade. Thank you again dr Krause and staff. I’ve never looked forward to a dentist appointment like this in my life. Hands down the BEST / most talented caring honest dentist in town. I’ve referred one friend here for cosmetic crowns and will be raving about his business to all friends and family at all gatherings! His prayer list didn’t hurt either. Thank you for making me feel like a human being and not just another number.

Dr. Krauss and his staff are professional and do amazing work. I was nervous about having dental implant procedure done. Dr. Krauss made the whole process very comfortable and painless. He takes pride in his work which I respect. I am very pleased with his work and would definitely recommend this office.

The staff at Bakersfield Smile Design is Awesome, but I do feel like they are extremely overpriced and unless you are rich it isnt the best place to go. Dr. Krauss is Amazing at what he does cosmetically ,and good work comes at a price because you get what you pay for, but I feel like they should offer in house payment plans. I will have to go elsewhere for the work I wanted done because of his steep pricing and lack of options to pay in a alternative manner.

I wanted to find out my insurance coverage so I left a copy of my insurance with the staff on Jan. 18th. and she informed me she will call me which was fine, however, I didnt receive a phone call. I called them on the 20th to see if they had looked into the insurance coverage but they hadnt and would call me. Its been weeks and I havent received a phone call. Good customer service seems to be a thing of the past.

Dr is very rude to his own staff, it’s sad. The girls are lovely but drs attitude is horrible. Also I feel like his answer to every dental problem is a cap that cost 1000+ , and it took multiple visit for the cap to be on properly and it isn’t even big enough and my actual tooth is exposed still . Wouldn’t recommend at all

This experience was the best dental experience I have ever had! I was nervous and embarrassed because I had not seen a dentist in 10 years and I thought this visit was going to be all bad news. My previous dental experiences at other places left me feeling anxious and hopeless.Yesterday I feel like I was given a fresh start at oral health. The hygienist, Katie, did an amazing job cleaning my teeth! She did not make me feel embarrassed. Instead, she comforted me that this was going to put me on my way to a healthy mouth.Dr. Krause and his team made me feel comfortable and hopeful. I have never left a dental office smiling with hope and joy in my heart. They are professional and compassionate people. Bakersfield is lucky to have them!!!

Many may find that going to the Dentist is not the most exciting.. however, Bakersfield Smile design is a game changer. The staff is extremely inviting & attentive & Katie (Dental hygienist) is the sweetest & keeps great conversation. Not to mention that the chairs are extremely comfortable. Never thought I’d be one to say that I cannot wait for my next visit!

I am giving one start because I was informed after my cleaning I was not in network after being told I was. I went from expecting a $0 visit to $140. That is unacceptable. They should have ran my insurance information prior to me getting any work done vs being surprised at the end of my visit. I would have gone to someone in network otherwise. They even did standard xrays which again I wouldn’t have agreed to thinking it was coming out of pocket. This is simply unacceptable

Everyone is very polite in the office. It was my first time going in there the other day and I was welcomed by my first name even by the doctor he called me by my name before even meeting me.. this office takes the time to know there patients and makes you feel at home.. My experience at Smile Design was great. Almost 5 stars 100%. My dental assistants were so sweet and amazing. My confidence was at a 0 when I went there, and I was nervous and embarrassed. The staff handled it great and helped me come up with a plan to change my life entirely. I got a brand new smile. The weight of that blow to my self esteem is 100% gone. As far as the clinical aspect and work done, 5 stars. My teeth have never looked better. The only thing I would change about my experience at all was the billing aspect of things. I’ve been to this office many times and I’ve always been uncomfortable with the way they approach billing. They aren’t shy about asking about payments, in front of everyone. My last visit I was told I wouldn’t receive my last crown, that was paid for in my original treatment plan because of an unexpected bill due to a tooth needing extracted DURING a procedure where I had received nitrous.i wouldn’t have consented (couldn’t actually consent because I couldn’t speak) had I known the repercussion would be to take away my final permanent crown unexpectedly. Now, upon approaching it, though it wasn’t handled great and I didn’t feel understood, Dr. Krauss was kind enough to move forward and place my crown (Front tooth). I left the office with a new smile and I love it. The absolute only thing I would change is the situation regarding consent and billing. The procedure went smooth and changed my life. I was told to leave an HONEST review, so I did. If you’re considering having work done at smile design, I recommend it 100%. The dental procedures are wonderful and the staff is great. Dr Krauss knows what he is doing. I wouldn’t change my decision.

I had the most wonderful experience today at my first visit in Dr. Krauss office. The entire staff was absolutley amazing. I have always had fear of the dental office because of past experiences. I felt beyond comfortable here. Dr. Krauss explained everything that is needed to be done. The women that was taking my x-rays was an blessing. She was great at making me feel comfortable. I am very excited to start my journey to get my smile back 😁

While I cant say anything about their dental work (my kids wouldnt let that happen, lol), their customer service was definitely top-notch and I would definitely recommend them for adults and kids who are above toddlers.

Had a major toothache. And was referred by a co worker. Called them and was able to come in same day, I was seen right away and in no time was told exactly what was wrong. Looking forward to the next visit. Would totally referred them to anyone, Professional , courteous ,caring staff...

IF I WAS RATING DR. KRAUSS 15 YEARS AGO WHEN HE WAS JUST STARTING OUT I WOULD GIVE HIM AND HIS STAFF 10 STARS ⭐️ BUT FAST FORWARD PRESENT DAY I AM NOT A HAPPY NOR A SATISFIED PATIENT. I MOVED OUT OF TOWN AND FOR MEDICAL REASONS HAD TO RETURN TO BAKERSFIELD. I THOUGHT I HAD FINALLY FOUND THE SAME DDS WHO MADE MY LIFE WHOLE AGAIN 15 YEARS AGO BUT ALAS IT WAS NOT THE SAME. I HAVE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY (TO ME) AROUND $4300 CASH AS I AM A NOW A DISABLED SENIOR ON A FIXED INCOME. TO THIS DAY I AM NOT SATISFIED BUT THE ONLY THING THAT HE CAN OFFER ME WILL COST ME MORE MONEY ABOUT $11,000. WHAT SENIOR CITIZEN CAN COME UP WITH THAT MUCH CASH? CERTAINLY NOT ME. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Dr. Krauss is the BEST IN TOWN!! I had not been to the dentist in three years, for FEAR of dentists. Dr. Krauss and his RDA, Katie made my dental experience the best I have ever encountered. The one of many things I LOVED is the dental exam and cleaning includes and oral cancer screening. Also, I have to have some work done.....crowns and an implant. Understandably, that is self inflicted, because I did not go to the dentist on a regular basis. The cost of fixing my teeth is going be well worth it!

I contacted many dentists in Beverly Hills and Orange County who had done celebrity teeth as I wanted mine to be white, beautiful and perfect like a Movie Star. The prices were so outrageously high that I decided to try Dr. Krauss as I saw a special in a magazine that offered a discount! I was verily leery at first because I do not trust anyone easily. Dr. Krauss put me at ease and offered me an incredibly reasonable pricing on crowns as I needed several. The team and the Dr. are lightening fast, efficient and my work was done with minimal visits and time. I have never had crowns that are so perfectly fitted or BEAUTIFUL like JEWELS! I can not say enough good things about this office, dentist and staff. Dr. Krauss is on his way up and worth the drive from anywhere in California! Amber, his office manager, would always keep in contact with me regarding appointments etc. She is highly professional and very amicable and friendly. Let me start by saying that I am a big guy.... It would take an elephant sized tranquilizer dart to take me down and an equal amount of local anesthetic in order to numb any potential pain associated with dental work. I have had many bad experiences over the years, where Dentists disregarded this fact and went to work despite me experiencing extreme pain. Dr. Krauss genuinely cares for his patients’ well being and ensures that no pain is felt during the course of procedures. If you’ve lost complete faith in Dental care, you’ve got to try Dr. Krauss.... He has renewed my faith in dentistry and he maintains a fantastic staff!

I met Dr. Krauss and quite a few of his staff today for the first time. The ladies took pictures and X-rays of my teeth and Dr Krauss asked how he could help me. Instead of looking at all the X-rays and telling me all the things I need to have done, he asked what I wanted done and also gave me his opinion if I wanted to follow it.They developed a treatment plan and I decided what I wanted to do. They helped me with financial options too. I said “yes “ and had a scan and impressions taken the same day with an appointment set up for Dr Krauss’s work to begin.It’s the first time in my life that I am looking forward to going back to the dentist. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Thank you to all! DR Krauss and his team are 2nd to none !My upper bridge work had came loose and fell out, I’d use a dental adhesive a few times a day to keep them in place but not make it through the day without worrying about them falling out while talking and eating.So I went in to discuss my alternatives and we came up with going with implants.A few days ago we went through phase 1, implants are in, temporary Teeth are in place and looking great.So far so good!I’d highly recommend Dr Krauss and his team.
