Ive been going to Crunch Avondale just about since they opened. I absolutely LOVE this gym, and it has only gotten better recently with the change in management.First off, Sabrina (trainer) is absolutely wonderful. Shes professional, knowledgeable, and works hard to make sure everyone gets the workout that is best for them individually.Second, the staff is friendly and always helpful - for instance this morning I forgot a mask, and Michael (I think that was his name), after looking for one, offered me one from his personal supply.Im moving and can no longer work out here, but Im absolutely going to miss this place! Keep up the great work guys!

After a year of canceling my membership they still continue to charge my cc for membership dues and report me to collections. Do not sign up for any sort of electronic payment method!!! Management doesn’t follow through with resolution and it continues. Months later they claim to have waived my supposed fees but I still have an outstanding account balance with a collection agency and no documentation in writing from the collection agency or them that this is being removed from my credit report. I have done everything correct to cancel my membership. I went in person 5/2020 and gave 30 notice to cancel then went back 6/2020 to pay final monthly dues which the Avondale location has record of and it’s now 8/2021 and my credit report shows I owe fees that they claim they have waived. Waiving fees I shouldn’t have been charged in the first place hasn’t resolved or addressed the claims they have reported against me to the credit bureau.

Love this Gym probably the best one i have been too especially the staff. Prath is an excellent manager. He goes above an beyond. He is professional, funny and kind making sure the members are getting what they pay for. He isn’t pushy about the membership or tries to talk you into unnecessary costs. He is honest, enthusiastic, and wants to make sure members are getting what they pay for. Bryce and Veronica are the best front desk people. Alway greet you by name, ask you how you’re doing. Most gyms once you sign up you’re just a gym member. The entire staff makes you feel like you’re part of the team. Appreciate these guys so much!! Thank you for all you do to make me want to come back everyday.

I really like the layout of the gym. Its not over crowded and they offer a variety of ways to get your work out in. Everything looks new , clean and well kept. Viviana helped me and she is super awesome!

THE WORST GYM I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH.First the first time we went to work out they insisted my husband and I were not in the system AFTER we had just dropped money to join.had a loud zumba class or something out in the middle of the gym instead of inside the classroom so instead of being able to concentrate we had to listen to this woman on a microphone. We cut our workout short and left.Now I have been trying to cancel our memberships since APRIL! I followed the instructions IN THE CONTRACT THEY PROVIDED. All Ive ever heard back is they didnt receive the certified letter which I sent per their instructions which is a lie. Now the manager isnt answering my emails. This is the most unprofessional chain gym I have EVER dealt with.

I’m having troubles with this gym. I cancelled my membership right before the pandemic hit and they said they cancelled it. Afterwards I got a paper in the mail saying they were waiting for my payment and so my mother and I went down to the gym to have it corrected and they CHARGED US the amount to cancel the membership. I didn’t think much of it until we got the paper again in the mail and they said it wasn’t their problem but that they made sure it was cancelled… now I got a paper in the mail that said I owe 296.16!!! I am very upset that they tell us one thing and do another. I need this to be clarified and not be charged for something that was not under my control.

Hi, after a little bit of a struggle to cancel my membership. Only 1 person is in charge of this. Prath made things right and had open communication with me. Definitely will use this gym in the future.

First of all I went inside to try out just a one day pass to see if I liked it. I had a outta state I.D. So I was denied a ONE DAY free tryout pass. I just moved here a week ago and was looking for a good gym and heard crunch was nearby but instead of letting me try out the gym I got denied now out of all that’s going on these days you would think to let people try your gym but instead you turn them away because of a simple ID that’s definitely not a good way to get business back up a rolling. So I will never recommend Crunch gym to anyone do to the fact that they are so petty about one day trial very bad for business. Went down the street to EOS fitness and they gave me a free 7 day pass without any hassle so yea your gym is wack and I’ll let everyone I know

I am not really sure how to respond here because I was not a member but this gym purchased my account fictitiously. I had a membership with Youfit in 2012 and cancelled it when my personal trainer moved out of town. I thought it was over until my banking institution told me they had been withdrawing $20.00 per month for 9 years. I contacted both gyms and Crunch fitness recognized the problem but told me I needed to go there in person to cancel the membership but they couldnt refund me any money. They offered me 7 months of use in their gym, no other options. Youfit told me that I needed to contact their administrators but the information was a dead end. Be very careful if you are planning to become a member. In hindsight I wouldnt have given them my banking information. Im not sure how to proceed with this matter but someone owes me lots of money.

Stay far away from any crunch fitness.Their shady business dealings and how they sign people up is the worst of the worst.They sign you up for a $5 teeshirt but 2 months later your card is charged for 6 month premium gym membership without signing any documents.Their recruiters were outside walmart on camelback and 101, for days, signing people up giving out $5 shirts charging peoples cards.Then when you inquire about them charging the card(2 months after getting a t-shirt) and attempting to resolve, they give you the runaround saying its your fault. I even tried disputing the charges with my bank and they declined it.Got charged a TON of money by a gym Ive never even stepped foot in.They refuse to help too, or comment on any reviews regarding this shady sign up process. Im sure somebody will comment on this just to save face though!

Its a nice little gym but there are occasionally a group of people will deadlift and get chalk everywhere as well as slam the bar down

Started off good and then got to the point where all the machines were taken. Had to go a certain time to get a good workout in. Not enough machines and had to wait to long that made my workouts longer. Tried to cancel and they gave me the runaround and kept charging my account. Had to call my bank and complain and block them from charging me. Because their new policy was to go in person and have a manager cancel. Lol on their schedule. Lol

I keep getting billed for a personal training program I cancelled LAST YEAR. Manager has had to refund it before, I just got billed for Oct. ($160) and he can’t do anything about it.

Dont sign up to this gym!!!!! Especially for the Personal training. Worst customer service ever !!I need someone to help me .I added the some screenshot on the emails and my bank statment were it clearly show they dont keep their word.Ive been talking to Prath for couple of months. Found no solution also doesnt answer my emails. I emailed him couple months ago asking if they can stop charging me for personal trainer. The personal trainer I choose I guess got another job and left. Never told me anything about what i had to do next . I assumed I wouldnt get charge since he left. Time came and i got charged $360. I asked the front desk who can i talk to and she gave me Prath card. I emailed him and let him know i was no longer intrested to train with someone else since the trainer I felt comfortable with left. He pretty much said I signed a 6 month contract nothing I can do. I agreeed to pay the two more months left. At this point I was very low in money for those two months . Then July came and I got charged again the $360 i emailed him asking why if he mention i signed for 6 months. How was I charged for another month . Once again he said i never went in that he assumed i didnt want to cancel. I asked why didnt he mention those steps when i asked months before. Now i told him to cancel personal trainer and my memebership which i asked multiple time as shown in the screenshot and he guaranteed I wasnt going to get charged for the memership this month I havent been going to this gym since he said I couldnt. I payed once again for nothing. I need my money back. Crunch has really affect my time and money. I deeply regret moving and letting my friend know about this gym.

This organization took over my SHUTDOWN youfit location from 2020, and gifted my bank account with a membership charge in 2021. I have never once been to this gym. Inexcusable business behavior.

I cancel the services of this gym months ago and now they are trying to collect hundreds of dollars from me and probably other formers members? What a joke, this company is a scam be aware!! Of course Im going to dispute the charges. Bad business practices will come with bad business results.

My member ship move to this place from you fit. I cancelled my membership and kept the receipt. Even after my cancellation date I was still getting charge on my account. I brought it to their attention a month ago and I still have not gotten a refund. I emailed the owner Warren but I have not received a respoce nor has my issue been resolved. I have gone twice to the place with no help. If they treat me like this I wonder how they can treat their members.

Im from stockton ca and Im visiting in Avondale AZ. So I stopped by crunch to keep up the good work. And its a very clean and friendly place as well as back home..plus they have 3 hydro beds

I had a membership at the You Fit off the 101 on Camelback rd. During covid You Fit was temporary closed. I was able to get in and talk to the workers there. I froze my account because at the time all gyms were closed. Then a few months later Youfit closed permanently. This was over a year ago and this month fees were deducted out of my bank account from Crunch Fitness. I called Crunch Fitness about the fees since I never signed up or never step foot in the place. I was told that Youfit accounts were sold to Crunch Fitness. I told Im not or never had any interest of going to Crunch Fitness and want these fees to be returned and stop I was told to send an email to the manager of Crunch Fitness which I did. This was a few days ago but I havent received an email back from them. Now Im reading many reviews and see many others have been going through the same thing but with much worse results. So now I really worried and ready to call my bank to dispute the charges and file a complaint with the BBB and maybe even call 3 on your side.

I canceled my membership back in May 2020. I got a call that I had the remaining balance in November 2020. I went to the place to take care. I showed them that I paid for everything for cancellation. They said its all taken care of. I received a letter from the collection company saying that I owe $118. When you canceled the membership, check your credit too!

I like this place! It’s nearby, it’s 24 hours, and it’s just fine. It’s pretty dead when I get there (around 4:30 am) which is how I like it. They have a good variety of exercises and machines and weights and stuff. It’s just good, ya know? Gets the job done. Not the most pleasant experience (shout out to lifetime), but really good for the price. It’ll be better too when I can use the sauna. Love that stuff.

Cant even cancel , staff is also not noligibel in regards to their products/ vitamins. When asking a question their repose was to take a picture and take its across the street to ask the vitamins store for assistance. Lol that place is a joke.

Buyer beware. This gym is a scam. Your cost will go up without notice. If you do not cancel within 10 days of the do date they will charge you for the next month and even if you sign the computer that you are cancelling you will not be cancelled until you speak to a manager. They will tell you a manager is going to call you but never will instead they will continue to charge you until you manage to find a manager (who only works mom-fri select days since today is Friday and guess what? Still no manager as well as select hours) do yourself a favor and avoid this gym at all COSTS.

This location was horrible. Its a meat market with limited number of useful equipment. There was a couple literally making out on one of the machines.

My membership was tranferred from YouFit to Crunch without my authorization and when i wasnt even in Arizona at the time. They gave my bank account info to Crunch Fitness and they started withdrawing money out of my account 5 months before i realized it. A few weeks ago i went into Crunch to cancel and speek to a manager. He was not there and the front deak attendant assured me he would pass my message on to the manager and they would cancel my account. 4 days later i called the gym again to make sure it was taken care of and they told me it was. Still NO CALL from the gym manager. 2 days later i received a bank notification of a returned ach from Crunch fitness for trying to collect monthly membership dues after they said they cancelled my account. That cost me $40 in bank fees on top of the $19.99 they took.. What kind of company takes from members without permission and then doesnt return the money when people are having a tough enough time as it is this last year !! DONT GO TO CRUNCH FITNESS THEY ARE LIARS!

I have attempted to cancel my membership since April and have continued to be charged. When I call I am told the manager Prath will call with no return call and that my account has been cancelled. Here we are months later will horrible customer service and extremely delayed responses that lack a resolution. This company should be embarrassed to have a manager like this in place.

My membership was sold to Crunch Gym when YOUFIT shuttered. This was during the summer 0f 2020. My membership had been frozen and I wasnt allowed to cancel at that point.....I have never been to Crunch gymand had joined the YMCA. Without any notice, almost a year later, CRUNCH GYM, apparently very desperate for money, deducted $100.00 from my account, which in itself was very UNETHICAL, but worse than that, I still havent received the Annual Membership Renewal Fee. I have made three trips to this gym and was told 7-10 days but no refund as of yet....This is very very troubling as my emails asking for help remain unanswered....can anybody help? The managers arent to interested in helping and Im getting Angry.

I like it, gym is gym. Its clean, employees are friendly, not too crowded in the morning. As long as theres machines available im good. The down part are the shower doors, ladies can see me naked and Im just not too comfortable with that lol, I try to use long towels to cover up my door but its keeps falling and I need it to dry myself but its already wet lol

These place is a joke I canceled my service back in March they call me today NOVEMBER 9,2020 and say one of there employees didn’t do there job correctly. And I have a lot of late fees built up over the year. How is that possible if I canceled and another thing it’s on auto pay. The guy even said there’s notes on my account that says it was canceled. But I would still have to pay. I asked to speak to someone above him. He said that would be the owners. So give me that number then he says no.

They dont communicate with certified letters but require me to do so?? STAY AWAY....COMPLETE SCAM! I have never done business with this company and they have no contract or signed authorization from me allowing the charges.

Do not go here! Theyre scammers and liars! When my gym shutdown months ago and my account given to crunch, I immediately contacted them and told them to cancel my membership. They tried to get me to stay but Im not going because Im a high risk individual. They accepted my cancelation, but just now tried to charge me for it! Too bad for them! I immediately canceled my card so these scammers will be getting charged for credit card fee as well as be reported to the better business bureau. Theyre never getting a penny out of me!

Cancelled membership when they reopened gyms in the State. Like June or July. They stopped payment at that time. Now they charged my $21.00 for membership on Decemeber 27th. Went in to get them to make sure that membership was canceled and refund the account. After 10 minutes. Came out of gym still with 21.00 charge and them saying they need to review cancelations. Stay away from Gym. They are not professional and since they are hurting for money due to Covid. They will do what ever they can to keep your money.

Joined gym early 2020. Covid happened. Gym monthly membership fee restart deducted from my account since Sept 2020. Afraid to go to gym since I am fearful that I may have contracted covid from gym in March. To cancel membership, I was told I must come into the gym to sign papers. I asked if the cancellation papers could be emailed to me. Gentleman on phone developed a harsh tone with me and suggested I bring my own pen to sign papers with since I am so scared to visit the facility. Hung up due to rising hostility from guy on phone.

Crunch fitness happens to be the best gym Ive been to since I started going to the gym a few years ago.

I got my membership online for this location the guy on the fron desk wasnt professional at all he didnt give my my member card he said its fine you will have it next time you get here, then at the end I decided to take the hidromassage and he was about to put the code and he left saying he will be back I was waiting like 8 min there until I decide to go out to front desk to say I was waiting and he was doing nothing but resting and chatting with a guy, I told him that was very rude. I am a member doesnt matter if I am look Hispanic I paid with the same kind of money as everyone else there.

Once the kinks are worked out, this will be a wonderful gym. The bright colors and warm atmosphere make this location awesome. The staff here really make you feel welcome and want you to enjoy your workout time. You should at least come check out this location.

One of the better gyms I’ve been to. Machines are super easy to use and every single employee treats you with respect and helps in any way they can. The owner is amazing and super friendly. Nobody pressures you into joining or signing up for anything. I’m happy I joined and can’t wait to go back every time.

Thought I had found a great gym with affordable fees, good/clean equipment, and quickly cancelled. This happened November/December, still paying fees, and have proof that I have cancelled and am still getting charged. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON BUSINESSES THAT SCAM YOU LIKE THIS, EVEN REPORTED THEM TO BBB, but of course, NOT A MEMBER.More to add.....under new management, same problem, almost a year later and still no results 😢

Good clean and new gym. Staff is friendly and the gym has your basic needs. The gym barely opened as of 09/01/19 so I can’t comment on it’s busy hours. Still slightly under construction but nothing to affect your workout (eg. lockers and mirrors that need to be set up). The nutrition shop is neat, slightly pricey but that’s expected. I’m enjoying it for now.

Apparently facebook works, but not emails, phone and going in person to cancel an account. I’ve been trying to cancel my account since August, sent emails, called and lastly had to go in person and completed a form. Putting my health in risk since I have respiratory problems. But you continue to charge my account monthly and decided to ignore my numerous request!!! Your customer service suck. Shame on all of you as a corporation

This gym is great! Clean and new equipment. For all the stuff you get, like tanning and the massage beds, you can’t beat it.

Was at EoS and switched to Crunch fitness. Staff is super friendly and always say hi as I come in to work out and equipment is always useable unlike EoS with unclean equipment and weights laying around everywhere. This gym takes pride in cleanliness and professionalism.

Robert & Jesse were super professional. Their friendly energy made me feel comfortable enough to ask all the questions I had. Great service & provided all the information I needed.

My gym closed during the pandemic (youfit) and apparently my account was transfered to crunch. The concerning part is that crunch has now charged a membership without my consent? They have taken money out of my account without my consent? What kind of business is this.....

This is a nice place to workout, I love it. But there are problems not fixed, the hours aren’t posted, and there’s no WiFi. Even in the beginning when they had it, it was awful. I can’t use my music streaming service, answer emails from work that might be important, and I’m only complaining because my cell service doesn’t work there so I use my data or use WiFi if it doesn’t work... so you can imagine how inconvenient my trips there have to be each time.

Had stopped by Ulta next door and had met Blane and had signed up for a gym membership. Been thinking about it for a while now even my friend and I had talked about the other night so this is definitely a sign. Glad I met Blane and glad I enrolled!

Since I started September 1st, down 8lbs!! Treadmill and using weight machines. Great Music to keep in fast pace. Open from 5am to 12am Monday thru Friday. Saturday and Sunday closing at 8:00 pm. Sign up and get a free t shirt. Oh the Hydro message will almost put you to sleep after your workout. Gym is Hugh. What ever you need or like to use is there to build up muscles. Noticed alot of regulars, Im one!!💪🏋️‍♂️🏋️‍♀️👊👏👏

Pretty good gym, has most of the equipment youll need!

The gym is great but I can not stand the hit zone lady named amber. She is so annoying and disturbed my friends. She came up to us yelling about how we didn’t check in but we had already done it. We had all our barcodes on one chain and I checked in all my friends which is why they didn’t look they had checked in but for her to come yelling to us was extremely rude.

Clean!!! No crowds each time I go. Perfect local gym.Would be nice to meet some regulars for some workouts!

Honestly, the nicest $10 a month gym Ive ever seen. I love this place.

THIS PLACE WILL CHARGE YOU EVEN AFTER YOU CANCEL!!! I had canceled my membership and was still getting charged and then they sent it to collections!!So I went down to the gym and spoke with Josh Buon and explained to him how I had canceled it out and I was still getting charged.I was visibly upset and mentioned taking legal action. Then he told me that he was going to call the collection agency ABC financial and get it canceled out. He then gave me his personal cell phone number and told me to call him in an hour. I called and no answer. Been trying to call have left messages and no answer. So now Crunch fitness pops up on my credit report! $244 is what they ran up the bill too. What’s worse? I NEVER USED THEIR SERVICES BECAUSE I CANCELED BEFORE THEY EVEN HAD THIS LOCATION 100% READY!!! So now I’m going to leave this same review on all of their locations and report them to the bbb and hope that you reconsider this gym based off of how unethical they are. I had this experience on the bell road location in Phoenix Arizona.

I was approached by a Crunch employee by Ulta at Gateway Pavilions in Avondale. This man named Robert Garcia was trying to sign me up for Crunch and I decided to hear him out but he was very pushy and argumentative. Not the best way to sign someone up for the gym! I had politely refused to sign up and this seemed to trigger him and he started arguing with me about my current gym. After and hour of trying to tell this man that I was not interested he proceeded to pressure me with signing up for $1 and that I would receive a shirt. He then continued to make me feel guilty about myself for not singing up for the gym and that it would be something that I would regret.

Hell of a place. I suggest you just come and see for yourself instead of explaining.

I am not from this area, and I went out of my way to this location only to find out it doesn’t exist any longer. Quite frustrating, so now I have to back track and attempt to go to the Phoenix location.

This company signed up my under age son & friend without parental consent. After contacting the number listed on their website, they advised they did not know their age even though the kids had to enter it on the companies tablets. I was told this was not a legal contract as it was just an agreement when I mentioned the law. The emailed Terms & Conditions sent to my son clearly states this is in fact a contract. This business is not following the law.

Stopped by harkins to see a movie and talked to Jaydin, he was super motivating and excited, can’t wait to see the gains

Never work out at Crunch before, but I like it alot. Lots of Friendly staff, new equipment and not too crowded. I dig it 💪🏽
