Very underhanded techniques, I signed up for personal training and was assured that what I was looking at was the lowest costing plan (spoiler alert it wasn’t) didn’t find out until I had a friend of mine join and they got a lower plan, they didn’t take payment on the date agreed, and they took it late in the night when their about to close and can’t do anything about it. Was trying to reach corporate, it was just a repeat of “thanks for calling ESPORTA fitness, your call is very important to us”. It’s a great gym love the environment but I don’t appreciate how you do business.

Love the functional training area. The gym is still LA Fitness but renamed. ::rolls eyes:: dont try their personal training! Its a scam! Love the gym and its facilities but they are corporate trainers not good ones! They are Salesman and woman.

My 17 year old signed up for the gym. We were under the impression he could change training from 2x a week to 1x a week. This is not the case... was told to reach out to corporate. As being told this they were laughing about it... a big SCAM..

No kids club and limited hours. We joined THIS gym solely so that my husband could work out at 4am and so that I could get a 2 hour brake from the kids daily. Thats been robbed from us at this location. It seems like there is nothing anyone can do when I complain about it to management. Mountainside fitness will be opening up less than a mile away in November with AMAZING KIDS CARE, and this location is going to lose a lot of members. (If they havent lost them already, all my mom friends have already cancelled their memberships due to lack of childcare and gone to EOS)

I find myself complimenting and appreciating All the staff members at this location. This has been one of the best gyms I been to in over 12 years. As soon as they go 24hrs again I will drop EOS. Thank you for the cleanliness and mask enforcement!! I still pay 30$ for the LA fitness membership unfortunately, luckily you guys make it worth it.

Ive been going to Eastport offenders for two days straight now and Im starting to like this Fitness Center.

This Esporta branch is the cleanest, with the most variety of equipment and with the strictest implementation of COVID protocols I have been to. I travel 20-30 minutes as this is not my home gym (nearest is less than a mile from where I live). However, I do not mind the travel as I feel so secure that members are more compliant of cleaning the equipment and following social distancing. Further, I observe that the management is stern in calling peoples attention when not wearing their masks; they make rounds at least every 20 minutes. The cleaning personnel are really wiping the equipment thoroughly and not doing it just for the sake of showing off that they are doing their job. I really admire the effort that everyone is doing collaboratively. The variety of equipment is just a bonus. I feel safe going back and working out in the gym at this branch, I hope the level of sanitation and implementation will soon be equalled in other branches. Kudos to the team and the people that frequent here.

Wasnt very clean when I went there, not what I expect from LA Fitness/Esporta, personnel was busy talking to each other instead of interacting with customers.

The OM,GM And Sales Rep Adel at this location are unprofessional and are like High School Kids, They Harras and Ridiculed me and always play Favorites. Wouldnt recommend this place to no one. Very Bad Experience. The GM hits on Females.

The equipment is outdated and they have a problem opening up on time during weekdays

Floor in gym and daycare areas are gross no one seems to mop here, but the gym is quite nice . The reason for the 2 stars

Staff here is very friendly, always great ne when I come in, they sanitize their equipment regularly as well as other members not just staff, plenty of equipment to get a good sweat going.

Average gym but they have a serious staffing issue. Their sales manager, Jennifer, thinks it’s appropriate to single out people of color and call the police on them over small matters. I encourage you to try other more welcoming locations so this doesn’t end up happening to you.

Ive never met a more helpful manager at any LA Fitness or Esporta location, and Ive been a member for 7 years. Also, great facilities and equipment for a variety of exercise routines.

I go to this gym almost daily with friends but do not have a membership myself since my friend told me not to get one since he has guest privileges. My friend hasn’t been able to go for a week and I decided to use a guest pass I had they gave to me 2 weeks ago to get a workout in. I show up and show them the guest pass and the lady was nice and said ok I just need you to fill out a guest waiver for you to use it. I fill it out and wait 10 min to be helped again. No biggie they were busy. Then their Membership Manager shows up and greets me and takes the waiver from me and offers me a tour. I tell him I come here all the time with my friends and know the layout. I just wanted to get a workout in. He says cool and takes me back to his desk where he asks for an ID and card to put on file. I find it odd that he asks for a card since it’s a one day guest pass. He pulls out membership options and goes over them with me saying which one do you want. I tell him I just want to use the guest pass. He goes on to say they don’t do guest passes no more so that I should get a membership. I tell him that I go with my friend and therefore don’t need one since I just go with him. He says well we don’t do guest passes no more so you can’t use it. It’s either a membership or you can’t go in. So I just leave. Keep in mind the same jackass that gave me the guest pass 2 weeks ago was the one who I had this whole situation with. He was handing them out like candy 2 weeks ago asking if we had friends who would like a guest pass

Would like to say what a great management team this facility holds. I received a very kind and informative phone call regarding my membership from Alex Perez. He was definitely well informed of the services that the gym provides and had a gentle manner about him. This is why I came back to LA fitness.

Its a good gym with the essential items a gym should have, even though i didnt notice a basketball court.. they might have one though. If not, oh well, basketball isnt my sport..

Great facility! Manager on hand was very helpful in assisting with my questions. Also was surprised how clean it was compared to other gyms I have been to. Lady at the front desk also made a great impression. This coming from someone who has been to alot of gyms across the US. Look forward to working out at this location.

Esporta fitness on Rancho Santa Fe Boulevard formally known as LA Fitness is unaccommodating and unprofessional. This morning as I was working out on the remodeled green open area and was asked to leave the area because there was a class about to start. The class the employee was referring to Was a personal training session with one person. My husband and I along with three other members had to leave the area during the middle of our work out so a personal trainer could train one person. This is absurd, Considering there is a small black sign that states this open area is open for all members to work out on. When we went to the front to make a formal complaint the employee was rude and said they were going to take the sign down and that was it.As a member of LA Fitness for the last 15 years I have several family members who have memberships along with my three small children who go to the kids club. By canceling my membership they would be losing hundreds of dollars from my family which I’m sure is nothing to this company. I wanted to share my experience because I’m almost certain I am not the only one who is being interrupted during their work out and asked to leave this newly remodeled area which again has a contradicting sign that says it’s open for all members to use. Bad business and unprofessional staff.

I used to love this gym. It has everything i need and is very clean, welcoming with great customer service. Ever since theyve changed brands the music is so loud that it interferes with my own headset. I asked front desk if they could turn it down and he advised me he cant because they dont control it. The volume is set by corporate office. It is so distracting and disturbing that i will not be going there again. Thumbs down!! You Ruined my gym.

Would of gone 4 star because really this location is great. But LA fitness in Arizona as a whole is lackin with these operating hours. This location is big enough and has enough people coming to it to where it could be made 24 hrs . Yet its not and even then its hours are so strict especially weekends being so limited. Great equipment great courts for hooping but the operating hours need adjusting for it to truly stand out as they seem to be set up to the younger staffs advantage with earlier closing and late opens on weekends , and nothing past 10pm.

Good enough for the low price. I wish it was cleaner but the classes are great and unless its peak hours theres usually little to no waiting on machines.There are also plenty of treadmills , bikes and that type of exercise available. The staff are friendly as well.Middle of the road gym No frills and decent price. Plenty of parking

Ive been in several different LA fitness gyms and this one is my favorite of all. Its a great place to workout its big with many different machines that are always in function. Friendly staff and nice environment . Even my daughter loves it, the morning caregiver is very nice to her. Sometimes they spoil clients like today with bagels and coffee.

Does its job

I have been to other LA Fitness gyms where the staff can be a hassle to get help from. The staff in this gym friendly and very helpful. The gym is typically not packed, though there are some times when they do have more people than normal. I have a personal trainer from here, Annie, she has done a phenomenal job getting me healthy and in shape.

I took advantage of the personal training option. I work with Kelly McKenzie. I cannot say enough incredible things about him. Extremely efficiant workout. Very knowledgeable in his field. I have always been active and healthy and decided to try this. I have never felt better!

Just went there today and my group was thrown out but in a nice way.. she said bye have a nice day which meant get the f out. All because an elementary student didnt have ID but his parent was here. And the other employee at the desk.. Mr captain America said its a law everyone should ID on there person.

This gym is never crowded & the people there. That works out there are real cool people!

My husband and I signed up at LA fitness and decided to have a trainer. We are so glad we did! Kell McKenzie Master trainer has been working with us and he has been wonderful!He listens. He’s encouraging. And he really knows every muscle in the body! He is showing us how to stay strong as we are in our 70s I highly recommend LA fitness and Kell McKenzie

I would give it 5 stars but hours are bad! I was a member for many years until I moved to AZ. Most LA Fitness gyms here close early compared to WA state. I need a gym that at least closes at 11pm. I had to move to EOS Fitness and while the hours and equipment are fine, the place is packed all the time.. expand your hours and I am pretty sure youll get more clientele.

This place is so friendly! Great place to work out. Pool, spa, kids zone, every class type, every type of equipment. Manny is an excellent personal trainer! Equipment is cleaned frequently, and staff is always ready to help. Only set back is most of the cardio equipment is upstairs. I have bad knees, so its a bit challenging at times.

The LA Fitness off of Dysart I’m Avondale is a great location. The remodel that they’ve done is great. The staff is super friendly and helpful when you need them. Awesome pool area, racket ball courts and full upstairs cardio area. Highly recommend this spot

New ownership, great staff, open 24 hours and great price for membership

I joined with the Avondale club and would not recommend joining this club. I was originally with 24 hour fitness and made it clear that I had already paid an annual fee and initiation fee and they said it would be waived. 2 months later I was still charged the fee. I do not like their deceptive tactics and am very very unhappy with this. When I spoke to a manager (Adrian) about the discrepancy and told him I would like to cancel the account he walked me through the cancellation. He was nice but not at all comforting and basically gave me the go to cancel. Which I will do. :) Do not go here.

Ever since the rona started you guys been on one...I havent even been to your gym since and you guys call me every day even though I told you already that I got rid of my bank and havent picked up another on yet but I still get a call the next day...very annoying and I dont want the membership anymore

Today I found a cockroach in the jacuzzi! No it cannot get more than 1 star. But this is not the only thing that is bad. They have personal trainers that are not personal qualified but r allowed to train people. The result of this is my man ended up with muscle damage and not being able to use his arms for 3 days. He nearly collapsed. Not even a week later the same personal trainer who has no license trained someone else who did collapse and came to the gym next day with an oxygen mask! The manager there (women) is not capable of doing anything. After my complain nothing was done, nothing towards us to make us happy again nor against that trainer, as just stated another accident happened.... Well see what they do about the cockroach issue. Its been 30 min and the jacuzzi is still open where the cockroach was found by me. Disgusting!

The gym is pretty typical of most la fitness centers. However, The floor mats in the training area are old torn and dirty, the hot tub is not hot just warm and the jets are not powerful. The same for the showers, they need more hot water. Many of the lights in the ladies locker room and showers were burned out. Apparently they do not have a decent maintenance crew.

I brought in my son to check out the gym with me because I’ve been a member for years and the staff was so helpful and gave me amazing service!

Typical La Fitness. Gym equipment is moderate and sometimes maintained. The machines are usually taken by everyone posting to Instagram and Facebook while you wait, while the free weights are usually packed with sleeveless guys with 6 inch biceps making a lot of noise and posing in the mirror. If you want a gym to actually work out there are better options in the area. If you want a social gym this location is for you.

Good, clean gym. The manager is friendly and helpful when needed. Has the basics necessities for a typical workout with most the machines and weights well maintained.

So the gym itself is a great place to workout, just got remodelled never had issues. Not too long ago i added my 4 month old to the membership. Im definitely not too happy with the service at the kids club. Ive also given it about 3 weeks before leaving a review on it. First of all the swings for the babies are really really dirty! They can easily be washed..taken off once a week or so. Some of the girls in there are great but i came across another girl just the other day and shes so unqualified. I felt like she didnt even want to watch my baby after i told her id be back that i was almost done. To add my baby was fine not crying i had just gone in there for a diaper change. Anyway im really unpleased i do not like dealing with people that are not even able to answer a question. Im asking you a question i dont want to hear its up to you. Im thinking about canceling completely.

Pretty good gtm. Luckily Im grandfathered into a lower monthly price than they currently offer. I just wish there was more consistency with machines offered at each location.

I enjoyed the gym until....I decided to try out some personal training sessions, which I liked but the sales rep did not explain the contract too well. I was stuck in a 160.00 dollar a month, plus 35 member ship fee, on top of my child center expenses......all because the rep stated that i could get out of my contract anytime. which was all a lie. I dislike the sales because they lie and gave me a very hard time...I do not attend LA Fitness anymore and wasted money on this gym.

Don’t bring anything valuable, such as your purse, car keys, wallet, etc. unless you wanna get jacked. It doesn’t matter if you bring a lock to lock it up. Has to be an employee working here cutting locks and breaking into lockers while your working out. Explains why the restrooms aren’t the cleanest. Management could care less.

Wow the stuck up manger from Goodyear LA Fitness is now manger for Avondale . I switched to Avondale because of her. now Im just going save money and move to planet fitness way cheaper. Ladies be careful with your husband going to this gym the new manger with sleep with your man in the janitor closet . HR Needs to hire a new manger .

As a fitness club they do a reasonable job. The price is on par with comparable places. The one thing that just aggravates the hell out of me is the only time you can cancel a membership is Monday through Friday 8-5. Or you can mail in a cancellation notice. This is disrespectful of my time. For this reason I will never use LA fitness again.
