Kathie is very patient and kind, but her receptionist is another story. Youre required to pay cash for all visits outside of EAP, which is not disclosed to you when making your appointment. After paying cash, my visit was never submitted to my insurance company so that it could be applied towards my deductible. So basically, the receptionist just took my money... she is very rude. I also didnt have enough cash on me the day of my visit, so I had to find an ATM. She told me that if I wasnt back by my appointment time that it would be cancelled and I would still be charged the full amount. Isnt it her job to notify patients that they only accept cash as payment when scheduling appointments?

Kathie is an AMAZING therapist. Patient, wise, understanding and an expert in her craft. I have been under her care for over a year. The tools and coping mechanisms she has shared with me for crippling stress and severe anxiety have made SUCH a difference in my life. Im so very thankful for Kathie.For those leaving such negative, nasty reviews- I can assure it is for missed appointment fees or because they owe money- (missed appointments and no-call, no-shows are subject to a $150 charge, WHICH IS CLEARLY SPELLED OUT ON NEW PATIENT PAPERWORK. If you dont want to pay the missed appointment fee...KEEP YOUR APPOINTMENT or simply RESCHEDULE your appointment!I would HIGHLY recommend Kathie for ANY adult/family/teenage counseling needs.

Receptionist Amy hung up on me after I told her I wasn’t asking for court paperwork to be filled out.I called back to ensure there wasn’t a miscommunication and she then told me that since the court may ask for it in the future, even though I’m not she wouldn’t see my girls. Horrible attitude and unprofessional to refuse to fill out court docs if ever asked.

My son was a long time patient, Kathie Bankson discharged him after being ordered by the court to provide medical records which is absolutely normal for a doctors office to receive. She had to be demanded by the court because she didnt want to provide records. She does not care about her patients! Cutting someone off from their psychiatric medications without warning is horrific. She does not care! This is the worst office for psychiatric care in Arizona and Im not quite sure how this woman has been able to keep her license as a practicing psychiatric nurse practitioner! I would never recommend this place to anyone for mental health needs. She also goes on vacation or says she goes on vacation whenever she wants without warning to her patients!! Her daughter Amy works in the office and is just as horrible! They both should not be allowed to serve the community for mental health needs!! This is dangerous. I will also be making a report with the Better Business Bureau and wherever else I can to help the community to avoid going to this practice as she will leave you out in the cold! I guarantee that. This review deserves not even the one star that is required to post this review.

I use to go to this woman as a teenager. Worst therapist around. Biggest waste of time. Had me on all kinds of different meds that did nothing. She sat there and didnt say really anything the whole time. She looked more like she should be the one in therapy. Shes very menacing. There are 100s of better counselors, psychologist, Psychiatrist, who are far more worth your time.

Kathie helped me and my son through his adhd for years! Fantastic lady. Her relatability to our circumstance and her skill base is uncerpast. Definitely recommended!

As with others, this is the worst experience I too have had with a medical provider! Not only were our sessions more about her and her daughter, but after showing up for an appointment that she was not at, I was charged $175 for missing the appointment!! I even left a voicemail at that time asking where she was, and she still charged me. Her excuse was that the appointment was scheduled an hour later; however, not according to what she originally told me. If at all costs, avoid Ms. Bankson. Save yourself the distress and financial loss.

The girl in the office who does the billing is one of the most rude and unprofessional ladies ever. My insurance company called her several times regarding my billing and tried to fix her billing error and she still wont let my daughter make a appointment. I cant help that she doesnt know how to bill. She has hung up on me, even though all I tried to do was help her get the billed paid. After the insurance sent out the check, she is still claiming it is NOT paid. Worst experience I have EVER had!! Many she shouldnt wait for 9 sessions to be over and then bill incorrectly.

Not friendly with children or even parents when you first meet her. Insurance is always a hassle with her. She met with children three times and then stopped seeing them due to prognosis of mood disorder. She listed far more disorders on her list on specialty. Gave rx for kids to last them till find new provider. When we went to fill them she didnt put quantity so they called her. She denied rx due to them not being her patients anymore.

The worst experience Ive ever had at a medical provider. She rather not treat me than deal with paperwork from victims compensation! Complete disservice to people who need mental health/counseling! Rude and argumentative! I just spoke w/victims comp yesterday yet she still was arguing w/me!

I have been going to Kathy for over 8 years and she has always helped me with every medical need and concern that Ive had. I would recommend my friends to her.

Worst place to go. Do not waste your time!

Kathy always has a bad attitude, my sessions always start late and end early, she doesnt know the Rx she has already prescribed and doesnt know the doses of the ones Im already on. I watched her call the cops on a lady in her office that had done nothing wrong. Kathy and her secretary were verbally attacking this woman that came to them for help.. do not go to this lady for help**** UPDATE****It is now a year later and I am being refused service because I wont delete this review
