This is one of the best VA hospitals I’ve ever been to due to its fairly new establishment which started receiving veteran patients last year from the old one located in Denver. The hallways are massive and lengthy, the customer service is much better considering how it was in the past, and the physicians are doing what is needed to care for their patients and showing empathy for their medical dilemmas. I am extremely satisfied with my current visits (knock on wood) and look forward to my continued healthcare with this beautiful facility. However, to schedule an appointment for something still is a major issue, you’re on hold for quite a while or if seeing a doctor here and they submit an order to get a CT scan for an example takes forever. Veterans with serious service connected issues needing immediate care should not be waiting for a lengthy period of time, no excuses. There needs to be a better system set in place to take immediate actions when orders or appointments are to be made.

Ill give the care you receive there when you are able to get in is top notch. However, if you know where to look the buildings may look great but a lot of corners were cut to save money and were never fixed so the leadership can look good.

This is one of the worst VA systems in the US. They all hide behind a automated phone system. No one ever returns your calls, even the patient advocates. You also cannot directly call most clinics. So you sit on hold for hours only to be transferred to a voicemail box that no one checks. They cancel orders for no reason. Orders also dont mean you get an appointment. They seem to just put orders in to not get fired. The employees dont care at all.Do yourself a favor and call the community care office and just go to a civilian doctor. Unfortunately they also hide behind a call center, but at least you are waiting to get away from this horrible horrible VA system.

I just moved out here and tried to set up an appointment. Ive been on hold for 3.5 hrs.....it goes to show that military veterans are numbers no matter what state you live in. This is extremely upsetting to me and my family. Instead I will have to go to a facility that I cant afford. Thank you us government and va facilities for the lack of care for your united states veterans.

I’d give this a ZERO if I could!! Your phone service is horrible and full of employees that really don’t care about vets at all!! I called weekly for months trying to get my authorization re-upped to be seen out in the community healthcare system because my local VA clinic didn’t have a physician taking new patients... I wanted to continue to see my civilian dr...you said you “authorized” yet for months the drs office received NOTHING from you guys. I even gave the correct fax number the last two times!! I would call and be on hold for over an hour each time and just when I was next in line, your system would either bump me to the back of the line or hang up on me.Thank god when I called the actual VA to report your horrible service, they quickly assigned me to VA clinic dr who was willing to take me so I don’t have to deal with your poor service and laziness!!

I would rate this with negative stars if Google would let me. Parking is atrocious, none of the staff knows where anything is. Fortunately nobody really seems willing to correct it. Their systems are not working right, so you were waiting an hour to be seen because they were busy, now its because they dont know you are there. Make sure you dont go in the morning or evening or you will not beat the rush hour. Avoid at all costs, stay local if you can. If you absolutely have to go, check in with the volunteers who know more than staff. Take a sleeping bag or get a hotel to be safe. I spoke to roughly 15 veterans who had the same experience or worse...

The new building period is passing and people are finally starting to figure out where things are located.
