Our 5-year-old daughter began seeing Ms. Megan for occupational therapy at BDI just before the pandemic hit. We had noticed a few sensory issues and had hoped to address them before kindergarten started. Little did we know the incredible impact Megan and BDI would have on not only our daughter, but our family as a whole. A child who once refused to wear certain clothes, who would not let anyone brush her hair, who became inconsolable during meltdowns, has done a complete 180. Through OT and her time with Ms. Megan, she has found the confidence and tools needed to be a happy and adventurous kid. Meltdowns are far and few between now and, when they do happen, she knows how to calm herself and we know how to support her. Our frustrations have disappeared as weve also learned skills to help her. Most recently, she started horseback riding lessons - an activity she was terrified to try before. We are so grateful BDI is a resource to our community and our children!

Two of my boys go here for both speech and occupational therapy. They are phenomenal and have helped with a wide variety of issues, from auditory processing and phonics to fine motor skills and executive functioning. It is so fun, they never complain about going! BDI transitioned quickly to telehealth during the early stages of the Pandemic and have been very safe since returning to in person sessions. We recommend them to all our friends!

Cant say enough good things about BDI Playhouse and Miss Lisa! Shes helped my daughter manage her scoliosis pain and has taken a personal interest in her treatment. She *actually cares* about my daughter and her scoliosis journey and has gone wildly above and beyond my expectations.

We love BDI, and we love our daughter’s wonderful speech therapist Jess K. She is so knowledgeable and is also a great listener and is very intuitive. Jess is one of our daughter’s favorite people and she runs to therapy each session smiling and singing her name. We have been seeing Jess for over 1.5 years. Jess comes up with creative ways to elicit the speech sounds we need to work on, she provides easy homework and at home ideas to practice at home and really cares about knowing our whole family, not just our daughter. We have built a great working relationship and I am so grateful to have her working with us!The gym and facility at BDI is wonderful. I love that our daughter can play and wiggle and be active while she does her speech - it is motivating and fun. It also gives her the chance to be social and work on speaking to other kids. All the staff, particularly Sherry, Ruby and Sue are helpful and compassionate which is important when dealing with tricky matters in insurance and billing. Thanks to everyone at BDI for being caring and bringing your best effort each time to come.

I cannot say enough about BDI . . . . they are all fantastic!! From the staff “behind” the scenes answering the phones, acting as new client liaisons, scheduling current clients and taking care of billing! They are all kind and understanding.We have an AMAZING SLP and OT! They really know how to work with kiddos with all types of learning abilities! The therapist are not only extremely knowledgeable they are dedicated, respectful, patient and they really strive to provide a positive learning environment. My son absolutely LOVES going to BDI. The atmosphere and what they have to offer is highly motivating and our therapist have really gone above and beyond to support us with learning at home and in school. I recommend BDI to anyone looking for private therapies whether it’s for Speech, OT and or PT!

I think BDI Playhouse is amazing! Ive been going there since I was in 3rd grade and now Im in 9th grade. Mrs. Jessica and Mrs. Maggie are the best people to work with and they are so nice and awesome! Its fun to hang around with them! Our son was a patient at BDI for 3.5 years and we had an outstanding experience there. His therapists were so patient with him and helped us understand his diagnosis and how we could support him at home. They were very knowledgeable and always willing to try new things and answer our questions. We couldnt have asked for a better experience and our son made huge gains because of the knowledge, patience, persistence, and dedication of his therapists at BDI. Since his discharge, Ive had several follow up questions and even though he is no longer a patient, they are still willing to offer advice and support. I cant recommend BDI highly enough!

My son has attended BDI for the past 7 years and we have had the most wonderful therapists. They genuinely care about the kiddos they work with and the families. Each therapist takes time to understand the needs of the child and provide a good road map for the family to follow to ensure future success. I highly recommend BDI playhouse. My son had speech and physical therapy there. The therapists are awesome, they explain everything and my son has improved in his skills. For example, he can now be understood by others when he speaks most of the time...when he isn’t he has learned strategies to use to make sure everyone can understand him. It’s so great! The therapists genuinely care about helping the kids and try to make therapy fun. I love how flexible they are with the schedule when possible. The front desk staff are pleasant to talk to and are very clear about payments and insurance coverage. My experience overall has been amazing. My experience with BDI in both the Aurora and Orland location has been incredible. I am a Chicago area Orthotist specializing in pediatrics. I work with many out patient facilities and BDI is always my top recommendation to families looking for services. The therapists are hand chosen for their specific skills, and they are continuously building on their knowledge and equipment. BDI offers children and their families so much, it is truly the full package. Things like aqua therapy, serial casting, and gait clinic are not available at most pediatric facilities. I am speaking not only as a medical professional who works with the therapists and office staff at BDI, but also as a mother who has had their child treated there. My favorite part about BDI is that ALL their therapists work together. It does not matter if my son is their specific client. They ALL interact with him, they ALL know him well. This makes for an easy transition for a substitute if ever needed. BDI has never skipped a beat. Non of us enjoy taking our kid to therapy several times a week, week after week, but BDI and ALL their staff makes it a fun environment and ensures me at all times that I am a good mom ❤❤

My son has been going to BDI Playhouse for speech therapy for over a year now. He has worked with Laura and has improved immensely. Ms. Keishla is our sons physical therapist. She is always so nice, patient, understanding, and professional. We brought our son to BDI since was 7 weeks old for Torticollis. He has improved greatly from PT. She gave great evidenced based recommendations to apply at home and answered many of our questions. We also took sign language with Ms. Amy and she was wonderful too. Highly recommended!

My daughter has been going to BDI for years. The therapists and staff there are wonderful! My daughter has made incredible progress over the years, undoubtedly due to the hard work and dedication of her talented therapists. We couldnt be happier with our experience at BDI!

We have a child who has received services at BDI Playhouse (speech, OT and PT) for about a year and a half now. I would highly recommend BDI playhouse to other families.First of all, we have absolutely LOVED each of the therapists we have worked with. They clearly care about our child’s progress and are always willing to answer my questions and provide ideas or suggestions as needed. I also appreciate that they will communicate amongst themselves to discuss my son’s goals and to make sure we’re looking at the big picture. He has made tremendous progress during his time at BDI. They are also excellent at helping me navigate other options to explore.One of BDI’s biggest strengths is that their office staff is as wonderful as their therapists. We recently went through a frustrating insurance issue where we needed to obtain approval for additional PT sessions. Insurance was (surprise surprise) slow to address the matter but the wonderful team at BDI did a ton of work on their end to get the approval for additional sessions. They even held my son’s spot for weeks and weeks to ensure that he could be seen again as soon as the matter was resolved. I really appreciate how they helped me navigate this problem.I also want to touch on the fact that BDI offers some unique services. They do bike riding lessons, offer some aquatic therapy, feeding therapy, and they have several classes you can sign your child up for to help further their progress. They also offer a monthly gait clinic and will help you obtain orthotics as needed.Finally, their new facility is awesome, super clean and has a nice large waiting room. We have several options for therapy that our closer to us, but we are happy to be working with BDI!

I have been taking the kids to BDI since they were infants, their parent and tot classes along with their professional staff has positively influenced my childrens development. I dont know what I would do without the knowlege of this wonderful staff. I reccomend BDI to all my mom friends.

My 13 month-old daughter was just dismissed from PT and OT services at BDI. Throughout the eight months that she received services at BDI, it was nothing but a pleasurable experience. The staff is highly knowledgeable and educated me on many things that I could do at home with her. I also enrolled in the infant massage classes and got lots of insight on my daughters development. She especially benefited from the aqua therapy that they provide. Our therapists were outstanding. Our physical therapist, Keishla, was the perfect person to pair with my daughter. My daughtrt looked forward to occupational therapy with Rebecca every session as well. As an elementary school teacher, I would recommend BDI to any students or parents that are looking for PT or OT services.
