The egg hunt on the island 2019 was really good..The shops had scavengers hunt for kids..what I loved the most was the easy access and the friendly attitude of all the shops that participated.. kids were challenged to finish some scavenger hunt to get the prizes...that was awesome..#egghuntonisland #easterfun #auroradowntown...

I love my city! Attended First Friday Roots Celebration. We are a large suburb 200k residents with more diversity and appreciation for diversity ethnic, religious, socio economic than I have ever experienced in any other suburb/city I have lived in. Such a fun event, local businesses open and showcasing different specialties and the best of what Aurora has to offer. We had ice cream from Charlies and it was amazing. Each time I am downtown I see growth, but not gentrification, growth that lifts up the whole community. Proud to be an Aurorian!

A beautiful town. So many things to see and many places to eat.

Nice place to walk around. 1st Fridays of the month vendors are all around and farmers market in the warmer months by river.

There are several unique shops and restaurants. It is a great place to walk at night because of the well lit walkways and little parks scattered throughout.

Great strolling downtown! We enjoyed our dinner and walked along the river, circled around a block or two, and along the river again. Really relaxing on a weekday evening. The restaurants were bustling and business appeared good. I have seen some changes in 20 years and they are all for the better.

First Friday event was a great way for us newcomers to explore the city.

Came to see sugar skull city. It was during the pandemic so it was all windows. The window art for dia de los muertos. I wish there was more to look at, we took a long drive. For me it wasnt worth it, this year. We did stop at a bakery and get goodies. Delicious! I just wish more employees throughout the city had actual masks on, or kept them on during our entire presence in the 2 shops we went into.

Visited a new popcorn shop called Pop Culture inside the Leland hotel. They have some really good flavors! I liked the spicy dill ..yum! Its good to see downtown Aurora is getting new shops and interesting stores to visit.

A cool little city on the Fox valley River. They have a casino. But the reason to go is the to see a band at Riverside Park.a great little venue right on the Fox River

Such a beautiful downtown area. Its great for an evening stroll with that someone special and plenty of benches if you want to sit and cuddle or smooch a little. Only negative is the spiders and webs everywhere.

Little, quaint, not a lot happening, not a bunch of places to shop.The only thing thats going on is The Hollywood Casino....which you never win anything lol.Oh, in the summer, the Rivers Edge have some great concerts worth looking into.

Cute little downtown of Illinois 2nd largest city. See the city life without getting all the hustle and bustle of Chicago. They have this thing called first fridays in Aurora where there are a whole bunch of food trucks, free things, music, and performances all throughout downtown. There is so much to explore and getting a chance to see it all during these first fridays that you will definitely have an amazing time.

Visited La France bakery and enjoyed their Tiramisu.

Its clean, safe for the most part.
