I used to work for Volunteers of America. With that being said I find that although the employees are dedicated to helping the community there is very little to show for immediate needs. I have been there multiple times with nothing received except a few bus tickets. I was illegally removed from my residence and have been on the street since last Wednesday. Today is Tuesday and Im still walking around the street without anywhere on earth to lay my head. Inspite of the fact that I have been at VOA again and again.

Well the receptionist was awesome very nice did my intake got me on my way she was very helpful the time I spent there I see that this place helps a lot of people you can get bus passes you can get food you can get personal hygiene items use the computers use telephone I think this is a great place I just moved to Atlantic City 3 months ago and I need help finding a better place and a better location thats why I came they are willing to help and do some searches for me that Im not available to do I just want to say these people are great they do a good job they actually care about Atlantic City and again I want to give a special thanks to the front receptionist I dont know her name but when I find out Im going to edit this review and put it inloop

A sham organization masquerading as a service provider. Even if you are struggling You need to have the correct ID from Atlantic County had they offered even the smallest bit of help I would have not have suffered the depths I had to go

They will help you until you get what you need

They do help but some of the people that go there need a good bath

Help people out with housing and detox also making a difference in the community.

It was amazing even though the chairs in waiting room little too hard worn out it was an awesome visit mr.lee is the man for real though he is one of the nicest people youll ever meet Miss Brown not only beautiful and a true white material hundred percent wifey she is the nicest lady you could ever deal with and I truly feel she actually does care theyre just for a paycheck and I mean that with all my heart as far as the other staff goes Fe el she actually does care paycheck and I mean that with all my heart as far as the other staff goes right they all right and they got the best paralegal working there and the homie that is working up front each other cell to as far working for navigation they say Im a little if you but I dont know then a TV in the waiting room thats on would be cool to

I used Volunteers of America during the time of Hurricane Sandy. I dont know what I would have done without them. They helped me through the whole process of repairing my home, they made everything smooth and easy they literally did everything I needed done and guided me through the whole process. This organization is absolutely wonderful and helps so many people. If you need help please get in touch with them for anything. If they dont no how to help you they will find someone who does

Yesterday i came here and they were closed at 10:43 am. clean professional staff got some crackers. THEY WERE RUDE TOUCHING ME WHILE IM TRYING TO USE THE COMPUTER.

The workers here at this facility really are great and help each and everyone of their clients as needed. If theres anyone who needs assistance whether its utilities, rental assistance, obtain identification credentials, and etc...Volunteers of America is the place to seek for assistance! But dont let them tell you what you wanna hear...LOOK FOR THE PROOF!!

The lady at front desk..is nasty and rude and arrogant.tends to give people the run around instead of helping the person at hand.Several occasions I called and some staff never there and didnt receive a birth certificate close to 3 months still waiting.I also talked ti a staff member on tbe phone saying she was a supervisor seem to be real basty in relation to a housing matter direct but snobby basically letting me know I was on tbe other side seeking help and she was better by her attitude and the way she spoke.One of the staff members name Rick seem very helpful..other tgan tbat I feel this place helps people but help who they want to help..abd the lady at tbe front desk makes you uncomfortable upon entering the place and asking her anything..she seem to turn peopke away or give people the run around instead of getting another staff member to tend to the people s needs if one staff is not available..

Amazing organization going out of their way to help people get on their feet and guide them in the right direction with assistance from all sorts of resources.

Recived zero help. Was told to come back on monday. But was already told today they wouldnt help with an ID,a job, housing, and wouldnt even give me a bus pass to help me get back on the day they told me to come back on. This place is worthless a complete dissatisfaction and let down.

They are very busy people, but its nice to have an organization that is willing to give people a chance at succeeding upon release from incarceration
