Up until today Ive had a great experience. Today I called to make an appointment because the skin on my breast has changed (a scary thing!). I was met with an extremely snide person. I guess I owe $350, though I have never received a bill. She asked what I could pay today and I told her and she snickered and said that wasnt enough. I am so upset! Usually doctors offices will work with you on past bills and see you when you need it. Not Northside Womens Specialists. So unprofessional.

Their admin staff is awful. In my wifes first pregnancy they called and gave her someone elses results. For her current one, shes been desperately trying to get her records transferred to another center and has left voicemails for the past three weeks. Of course they never respond. Also, their IT department must be living in the 1990s because they require FAX in order to transfer records due to security risks of sending through email - They should be aware that faxing is actually dramatically less secure actually, way less convienent, and prone to failures. My wife faxed probably 10 times the transfer record and they never received it. Well call you back when we get it They have called my wife exactly zero times. As her husband it is just infuriating how poorly they run their front office. Fix your voicemail. Call your patients back. And join the year 2021 and get a dedicated email account to get transfer record requests from your patients. Cant imagine what it must be like for patients that move out of state it must be a nightmare since the only other option is to drive into the office.

Dr Ariel Thomas and the staff at Northside womens specialists were great! Dr. Thomas was caring ,reassuring and extremely knowledgeable. She took time to address my health issues and answer any questions I had. I arrived worried and concerned, but left feeling that optimistic. Wonderful doctor and great staff!

I’ve only been here a couple times so my girlfriend can have her check up because she’s pregnant and I must say the only reason they are extremely slow is so that you can pay for parking, the first 30 minutes is free everything else after that is ridiculous so they take a really long time to make sure that their money pit gets full aka the parking deck!

I use to see Dr Gross ( retired now) for my annuals. Made an appointment this year and was scheduled with a new doctor. This doctor didn’t really seem to interested in my new complaint. Was given two prescriptions , before taking one of the prescriptions,I called 4 times within 10 days, never received a call back from the doctor, confirmed with that office she was given the messages? so I found another facility/ new doctor to see. Had further testing done at this new facility, to find out I need a procedure done.

Its not worth the hassle of dealing with their office staff and office nurses. They rarely answer the phone and their responses are not accurate. It will cause multiple calls, missed appointments and impact to your care. I went in for my glucose test and they forgot I was there!

Dr and midwives are wonderful. Office staff is incredibly slow and you wait at least an hour if not more to be seen. Very frustrating!! Especially if you need to go to work.

The team of midwives and nurses at this practice are more than amazing! Throughout my pregnancy they patiently answered all of my questions/concerns. I always was able to get appointments in the afternoon as I needed and wait times were short. During labor and delivery, midwives Kelsey, Munira and Ellen were extremely helpful and attentive. They tried everything to make it smooth. A huge thanks to Dr. Jordan Rush who delivered my son. Each day I was in the hospital, the on-call midwife would come check up on how Im recovering. I highly recommend this practice for your pregnancy needs.

Amazing practice! You definitely feel like you are in good hands delivering with them. I drove 39 miles to keep them when I moved halfway through my pregnancy and I am so thankful I did! They are wonderful, caring people.

This place is the best around. Dr. Rush and Dr. Weinstein delivered my daughter via C-section and I was a high risk patient. They did such a great job in 2014. And even now although temporary. I feel their confidence in knowing what they are doing. Dr. Rush has really great bedside manners and shows concern for his patients. He doesnt rush in and out, he takes his time to make sure you know everything. Unfortunately he cant deliver this baby and I wish he could, but he is helping along the way to make sure I find an OB. I recommend these doctorsto everyone. The office staff are very helpful and friendly. Even when leaving a message with the nurse, they get back to you asap. Dr. Rush himself will even give me a call to answer questions or if you have any problems or concerns. He is really great at what he does and patient and kind. I only wish I could stay. They are all great there.

Excellent practice, my wife has been with this group for over 20 years and had complications with both pregnancies but she always felt that she was in great hands and so did I. Our boys are now 14, and 13 and doing well. She was hospitalized for 3 weeks and every day a nurse or doctor came to visit that made us fell special after hearing stories from other fathers I am certain we choose the right practice. Love these guys.

My wife had complications and she was hospitalized for 19 days. The staff was more than great. We had to see a fetal specialist every week until our child was born. The gave us so much comfort and insight into our situation. Cant wait to have more kids there.

I cannot say enough GOOD things about Dr. Sangvai. I had the Mirena put in by her this week and was scared to death because of the pain I have heard other people have endured when it is inserted. She was comforting and professional and did everything to make sure that the procedure would be painless and I would be comfortable. She put it in with ultrasound guidance which was a relief to me because I knew she was going to place it in the correct area and she would know exactly where to put it which would make the procedure quicker and less painful for me. She also did my Pap and she was professional, friendly and comforting . I would highly recommend her to everyone!!

The front office staff is nice but most of the midwives are just plain terrible. One midwife specifically enjoyed making me cry. The day I delivered, she was the midwife on call (unfortunately). I was past my due date so she asked if I wanted to be induced. Because this was my first baby, I asked her what she thinks I should do. Her response, God, you make me want to blow my brains out. And during my labor she said, Trust me. I dont want to be here any more than you want me to be here. Needless to say, I was horrified and upset at her response. She just started at my blankly and walked away once I started crying. My baby is now 7 months old and Im finally able to talk about what an awful experience I had. This is the worst OBGYN in the city. Save yourself from this terrible, traumatizing place.

Overall I have had a good experience. I really like most of the office staff and doctors. I liked all but 2 of the midwives. After talking with the staff, the consensus is that 2 of the midwives dont have the best bedside manner.I was considered high risk and overall felt like the level.of care received between NWS and my high risk doctor as excellent. Generally I didnt have to wait long to be seen for my appointments. My complaints:1) the office pre-billed me for labor and delivery service about 5.months before. This caused issues with my insurance and took numerous conversations between my insurance, the NWS billing team and others to get resolved. I understand the need to provide an estimate of how much I may owe after delivery. However even the hospital doesnt pre-bill. Plus insurance doesnt allow you to claim a service that hasnt been delivered. This place should know that. Eventually we got things resolved but was a painful process.2) one of the benefits to NWS is that there are multiple doctors and midwives. This is a con as well. I felt like the midwives and doctors were not always aligned on my care specifically around delivery via induction vs c section. This was a constant frustration point and I made it clear to everyone that it wasnt acceptable to get differing points of views depending on who I may see that week. One midwife was helpful is saying that as we got closer to my due date, we could use a bishop score to help me in making a decision on delivery approach.Overall I had a positive experience and I have a beautiful baby girl!

I absolutely love Northside Womens Specialist. Ive had multiple miscarriages before finding this office. All my prior OB-GYN seemed not to care much never could tell me why, or what was causing my misscarriages. Doctor Arthur Gumer and nurse Susan were the Angels sent, I couldnt ask for anyone better. Dr. Gumer literally made Me feel comfortable and, reassured me if I was able to get preg I was able to successfully carry a baby full term, we just have to figure out whats going on. Less then 4 months later I was pregnant. My pregnancy was high risk and wasnt easy, threatened pre-term labor and all, but Northside did not take any of my symptoms lightly and made sure me and my son were safe and in good hands. I wish I can rate them 100 stars. I cant express how grateful I am for Dr. Gumer, Susan and the team. With the help of Northside Womens specialist I have a beautiful 2 year old son I thought I can never have. Thank you!
