Dr Mishu and his staff are some of the most caring, compassionate, and understanding professionals that I have encountered. They are exceptionally competent and their knowledge truly knows no bounds. Every interaction that I have had with any member of their team has always been positive, and in the case of a rare problem, they work overtime to make sure that I am taken care of. They are all consummate professionals and have made my life better.

Im currently being successfully treated by Dr Mishu for facial neuralgia after getting unsuccessful treatments from 2 other neurologists and an acupuncturist. His diagnosis was different than the others and proved to be the correct one. I highly recommend him for his professionalism and easy manner.

Unfortunately, this practice has lost what it once was. Dr. Mishu was amazing and caring the last time I had to see him, but unfortunately he was booked out until August 31st and I had a very urgent need (my entire right side of my body was numb and pins/needles sensation for 2 weeks). I was offered an appointment two days after I called to see the physician assistant Natalia Abazeri (June 9th), which I took. I was seen by the PA on the 9th and was able to get in for a CT on the 11th. The radiologist scanned me on the 11th at 11am and said they were sending it back to Dr. Mishu stat. Dr. Mishu’s office closed at noon that day. I patiently (and very uncomfortably) waited to hear from them all day Monday the 14th. I called on Monday before lunch to check on results and was told they were in and that the provider would call me later that day with results…never heard from them. I called Tuesday (14th) and left a message saying I never heard back yesterday and would like someone to call me with results. After that message, they did call me back finally at 2pm on Tuesday and I missed their call. I called back and left a message at 2:30….30 minutes after my missed call. I finally heard from the PA at 4:30 on Tuesday. From the moment I started talking with her (Natalia Abazeri) she sounded very annoyed. Once she told me the results and what was going on, I proceeded to ask her questions…as anyone would. Again, the PA sounded as if she was annoyed and acted very flippant about everything. I have never been spoken to so rudely and as if I was a bother, than I was by her. I then asked her about possibly ordering something for my newest symptom (which was also on my right and numb side) and she proceeded to tell me that she cannot just order tests for every symptom a patient has. I’m sorry, but when my entire right side has been numb for two weeks and then a new and worse symptom also starts on the same side, your job as a healthcare professional is to find out what is wrong with your patient. I said, “don’t worry, my chiropractor with order me a test without question”I then asked her if she could put all of my test results and notes from our visit, etc into my portal so I can go over it all with my husband. She said they would all be in the portal within an hour ( that was Tuesday, June 14 at 4:30pm). It is now Friday the 17th and there is still NOTHING in my portal to go over with my husband. I called and spoke to the office manager on Thursday June 16th about the situation and I am still waiting on her call back…I have always recommended Dr. Mishu and Midtown Neurology to all of my friends and family, but if this is who he has working for him, I can no longer do that.I hope they take care of this issue and teach the people they have representing their practice how to have some empathy for patients and some phone/bedside etiquette.UPDATE:On Tuesday, June 22nd, I called to see if my bloodwork had come back yet (which was taken on the 9th) and I was told “yes”. I asked to have copies and was told that a doctor has to read it first bc I had quite a bit of abnormal results. That was on Tuesday. I am writing this now on Sunday the 27th and have yet to hear from anyone as to what is abnormal! Please do not go to this practice if you care about your health…no one in this office seems to care that I am now going on a MONTH of not feeling my right side AND they are sitting on ABNORMAL blood results.

Dr Mishu is very compassionate and he lights a room with hope when he walks in. From the details he places in lighting of a waiting room for his patients with head issues to the walking you over to make your next appointment, he is very present Nd in the moment.I was handed off to his PA the last two visits and I wasnt as pleased with things. However they were still great in comparison to what is out there. His staff is very kind.I lost him as my doctor because he no longer took workers comp patients, and it really has caused me to not have good docs since then. I would recommend him highly for headaches and head injuries.

The best neurologist I have seen. Very rarely do you meet a doctor who is this knowledgeable who is also communicative and humble enough to give you referrals to top specialists in other states. Dr. Mishu ran an EEG on me and noticed the myoclonus that I was having that my first neuro somehow missed despite me obviously spasming and jeering right in front of her. My headache specialist after that was knowledgeable but routinely dropped the ball and left me hanging for weeks, refusing to call in prior authorizations, respond to emails, or return calls. Dr Mishu bridged the gap knowing his stuff and being great at communication. Imagine my surprise to wake up to messages from Dr. Mishu over the weekend after months of feeling the worst I have in my life and having to chase down any type of response from my old headache specialist. Highly recommend.- Marion

I meant to write earlier but didnt get a chance to. Dr. Mishu is so great. He listens and really tries to help. He didnt make me feel at all crazy with all the questions I had. He answered everything and provided me with all the necessary tests. I felt very comfortable with his care and do not hesitate to recommend him.

HORRIBLE!!! All I have to say is birds of a feather. DO NOT GO TO HIM IF YOU ARE BLACK. He ordered his racist student/resident to treat me. ER recommended him after I was admitted as a stroke case. He NEVER saw any of my MRI or CT images of my brain, just read the ER report to me about my chronic damaged brain vessels(something I can do at home for free), but said it was fine and nothing was wrong with me. Even though the ER clearly stressed that it was abnormal for a young, healthy(non-overweight) woman to have those problems and to seek a neurologist immediately. But this Dr says Im perfectly fine. Will be finding another neurologist who actually cares. And yes I have ppo plan at one of the leading insurance companies. Felt like a waste of money. Because of the lack of care, they probably read my EEG wrong too(the only thing they did). So will get that looked at by someone else too. Heck they said my brain abnomalties were normal(even though ER notes said otherwise) and they NEVER saw my MRI or CT scan. Would you trust them? I dont.

Dr. Mishu has been my neurologist now for about 2 years. I suffer from migraines and he has been the only neurologist who hasnt just wrote me a prescription and sent me home. Hes actually worked with me to find the best alternative to high dosages of medications to treat this condition. I really recommend him! He has made a very big impact in my life, and I will forever be thankful for his help.

Dr. Mishu himself gets 5 stars plus. He is just the kind of doctor I have been looking for -- knowledgeable, friendly and compassionate. AND, he called me himself with my MRI results. The office, however, has had two minor snafus, which is why I didnt rate the whole experience a 5.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Mishu. He is so personable and engaging from the moment he walks in the room. I was taken aback by how friendly, caring and helpful he was, I’ve never experienced this kind of care from a doctor before. Over the past month I’ve been passed around from doctor to doctor and each one referring me to someone else to treat my problem. Dr.Mishu saw all of this in my records and was shocked. He then ordered labs and testing to be done right then and he and his nurse scheduled an MRI for me the next day and made sure my insurance covered it. He debunked the scary assumptions of all possible diagnosis from the other doctors and assured me that he was on top of this and will communicate everything with me as fast as he can. He gave me relief from all the stress and worrying of trying to get help with my painful symptoms and I am so thankful and grateful that I found this amazing doctor.

I had moved from NJ to GA back there I had a fantastic neurosurgeon who was treating me for my complex migraines. When I did all my research and finally got to meet Dr Mishu loved him ! Not many doctors who are willing to listen, treat you so compassionately so well as he did, he took 40 mins to discuss my routine, my treatment plan. I would recommend anyone to go to Dr Mishu he is excellent God sent ! Loved him !!

Dr. Mishu is a Compassionate Neurologist, an oxymoron? Any person who has a neurological issue, especially long-term would believe these to words would NEVER go together. In this case, there is no better description. My husband and I both see Dr. Mishu. We have seen Dr. Mishu for over 15 years. We have moved out of Georgia, but continue to see him even though it is over a 12-hour round trip.Dr. Mishu and his staff are terrific. I have some complex issues. Dr. Mishu stuck with me until we found some relief. I have had to see other Neurologists while hospitalized in another state, and they were far from compassionate! As long as Dr. Mishu practices, I will never go to another neurologist.
