Had a great experience at Dry Bar Buckhead today. Jean Pierre was amazing! He did the best Straight Up ever and used just the right amount of product. I appreciated the hairspray he recommended for the weather and I bought a big bottle!

If you ever want to get some awesome curls, this is the place. In Buckhead ask for Fatima and in midtown ask for Ila. Results are different with each stylist. Those are the two that I have found do the best job consistently. I have thick coarse hair as an FYI...

Meh. I booked a dry style appointment because that’s all they had available and washed my hair the night before so it would be ready. I get there, my hair stylist took out a blow dryer to ruffle up my hair & the manager or front desk lady came over to let me know it’s now going to be $45 because a hair dryer was out. My hair wasn’t wet. She wasn’t very nice about it but after explaining that my hair wasn’t wet she let it go and didn’t charge me.My stylist was SUPER sweet and did a great job on my hair. She did curls, but they fell out within 2 hours of getting my hair done and my hair was flat after that.Drybar products and services are overrated and overpriced IMO. I had a gift card, but would never come here and pay $45 for a blow out and style.

This has nothing to do with the staff at this location and everything to do with the Drybar product. So, if you enjoy poor corporate customer service and just love tossing a $200 hair dryer in the trash after just 2 years of use, by all means go for it! Plug broke, ya gotta jiggle it, and Drybar corporate says - very politely - Oh well too bad. Its one thing to pay more for quality...apparently its another thing to expect quality. Not even offered a way to send back for repair at my cost! Yellow dont make it better honey!

I was here a few weeks ago and was so disappointed. The experience was nice and my stylist was friendly — but my hair wasn’t even close to what I asked for and I ended up having to go home and re-curl it within an hour of leaving. So $65 my hair looked like it always does when I curl it myself and I could have spent that money on something else.

I am absolutely disgusted with the service at this location. The women working there are extremely rude. I asked for waves and specifically said loose curls and I walked out with ringlets not only that but I still had shampoo left in my hair! I could feel the shampoo residue in my hair when I left so I had to go home and and redo my hair.

I absolutely love Drybar. It has proven to be a consistently good experience. Im a Drybar Atlanta regular, but have also made pit stops in several of the NY locations when traveling.Drybar is the perfect place to go when you want to KNOW your hair will look good. Interview, first date, night on the top, or just a pick-me-up. Its not too hard on your wallet, and its fun. Who doesnt want the option of cocktails, cookies, and corny movies while getting her hair done?As is true with all hair salons, if you have more challenging hair, you of course have the chance of getting a stylist who isnt an expert. (I have curly, thin hair that can be tricky for some people.) If this is the case for you, Id recommend booking your first appointment over the phone and explaining to the appointment specialist that you want to request a stylist who can handle your hair specifics. They can include it in the notes and be sure that your local salon schedules you with a stylist who can handle it.And, yes, they have an app for that. Online booking, app booking, no cancellation fees. This is as close to perfect as it gets.

I’ve been to a lot of other blow out bars in the Buckhead area and dry bar is the only one where every stylist is experienced, professional, and gives you the style you describe. I have long and thick hair and they always take their time. I bought a package elsewhere and can’t wait to use it up so I can come back here regularly. Also, easy to park which is a perk.

Over the past few years, I’ve been getting blowouts here regularly and loving it, especially because they’re so timely. Like most salons I’ve experienced, if you are away too long, you may come back and your preferred stylist is gone. I’ve never had a problem transitioning to another DryBar stylist that I loved. I’m currently back on their membership, and I love getting the additional discount on their great retail products.

Is Dry Bar racist?? I’ll let you decide. I went here several months ago and never posted a review but I feel it’s necessary. I came in one day for a flat iron and curls, and the first time it turned out pretty bad. So I decided to give them just one more chance because they are near my house and it was with another person. I thought I’d be charged $45, (just a curl, no wash) and somehow it ended up being $65. $20 more than what they quoted me. They asked if I wanted to leave a gratuity and I declined because I felt like they’d overcharged me by $20 and because it wasn’t the best experience. There was a white woman that checked out before me and she did not leave a tip and no one said anything. But the salon manager LITERALLY called me and drilled me about not leaving a tip and said it’s how the stylist get paid. Being that I was the only Black woman in the shop (every time I come there) I found it odd that the manager was so invested in why I didn’t tip, to the point where she called me AFTER I left the salon. Did she call the white person ahead of me that didn’t leave a tip? Who knows? But she certainly seemed set on drilling me about a personal finance decision that I made. I haven’t been back since.

This place is a well oiled machine. They have good stylists. Some of the best ones always seem to move on but then more great people arrive. Been going almost every week since the Buckhead location opened. Have had ONE bad experience in must be at least 5 years and it was the person’s last appointment of her last day so she couldn’t care less how I looked. They rescheduled with my favorite person for free. There are many extremely good stylists as I feel like my hair is super long and thick and impossible. I get the Manhattan every time no room for error with that style.

Here’s why I’m writing a review...I have had a good experience most times I have been there. I enjoy getting my hair done there, and it lasts a week...normally. After every blowout, they send a survey. This is the first time I have written a bad review. I am surprised I never heard back from them. Why send a survey if you don’t follow up??? I then sent another email asking for a follow up on my survey. There was an automated reply saying someone would get in touch with me within 48 hours. That has not happened so I’m writing a review. The girl that did my hair left sections damp and then went over it w the hot iron. In theory, great...in reality, this doesn’t work. I told her that my hair will fall by the time I get home. She didn’t listen and was more worried about watching the movie playing on the screen for the guests. My hair looked worse than when I make the attempt to blow dry it myself. I’m disappointed this place didn’t follow up or even have a concern for an unhappy customer. I wish they would have shown an interest in their customers. It’s even worse to me right now bc I’m pregnant and due in 2 weeks.

Two stars because my hair looked nice at the end but the process was not relaxing and very rough. I have a tough scalp but im pretty sure they dont train you to pull your customers hair. My stylist wasnt very nice and seemed to want to be anywhere but where she was and I get that, sometimes we all have bad days at work. But if Im paying for a service, you should fake it for at least the 30 min that Im there. She bumped into me multiple times and hit me with her brush on accident but if she wasnt going so fast and rough she wouldnt have done that. She apologized, of course but I dont think she actually cared. I smiled at her throughout hoping her demeanor would change and I thanked her for making my hair look nice which she did. Maybe she had a bad day, I dont know but Ive never had a stylist be so rough and hit me with her tools while doing my hair. Go to Cherry if you want a good experience.

My stylist was the worst. At every turn she took the lazy way out in order to shave time off the blowout. Even at the shampoo bowl, she didnt fully wet my entire head of hair, she just shampooed and rinsed the very top of my scalp without getting the hair in the back wet - obviously to save on dry time. Then at the chair, she was VERY rough with me, pulling my head sharply with the round brushes. I had asked for curls upfront, but then after simply round brushing out my hair, she asked if that was curled enough. When I asked her to curl it, she then curled my entire head of hair in about six sections, resulting in huge curls that were very tight at the bottom. At the end of the day, the curls had totally fallen out except for the very bottom of the curl where they had been on the iron the longest due to the huge sections. I had to straighten the ends of my hair and re-curl my entire head ON MY BIRTHDAY. Worst blow out experience ever, and Ive had countless blow outs. Cant believe I spent money on this.

I havent been to this one but I did just go to the one in Alpharetta and I think my life has changed because of it.First off, lets start with the decor! I love that everything is Yellow and Gray! Its very inviting and modern, and the chandeliers?! Little clusters of hair dryers! SO fun and creative.Next, the service: IMPECCABLE! We were given a drink and a friendly hello upon entering, and soon after my friendly stylist whisked me off to the back to get shampooed. The products smell incredible. After about 30 minutes of my stylist drying and curling my hair into the cosmo style, we were done! Right on schedule! The best part? I had bouncy curls from 2pm until I went to bed that night around midnight. And that particular blow out lasted for 4 whole days without getting gross. It was hair heaven! I absolutely love their hairspray, Im going to have to come back for more!I cant wait to come back again and again for blowouts!

Im a driver for a lady client that was coming to drybar to get her hair cut and when we arrived and parked in the parking lot we were approached by a white mid age man in a white pickup truck that said we couldnt park there and made us leave. Since the Buckhead Dry Bar opened I Have been the most loyal customer. For the 7 months I live in Atlanta, I go to Dry Bar every week. Last week my stylist HL practically pulled my hair out. I told him several times he was hurting me, to no avail. Then I had to tip him $10. On April 29th I booked my appointment for today May 5th. Since I didnt get an e-mail confirmation, I called to make sure I had the appointment. For the 3rd time they have no record of the appointment. I have spent $2500.00 since this location opened and I feel I have been treated rudely and totally unprofessionally. The solution to the problem is to simply honor my appointment. I have a hard copy of the confirmation. I have been waiting for 2 hours for someone to call me to let me know what they will do. Just honor the appointment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ech. Everyone is very nice but it went so wrong so fast the second I shook hands with my blower (?) because it was like shaking hands with a wet rag. He was very nice though. The cold water used while washing my hair was less then thrilling and even worse he stayed about an inch above my hair line and kinda just mooshed the shampoo around and then rinsed. No scrubbing, no cleaning. My scalp is actually itchy and my hair doesnt even smell good. I let him blow it out and then bounced and the manager Katarina was very professional and comped me and offered to make up for it personally next time she will do my hair and I will for sure. Some other bummers though:A) Annoyingly loud music. Like can I just relax please?B) Painfully awkward seats that have a bump in the bottom so it feels like your jacket fell in the seat and you are now on top of it.C) I was not even told that you can upgrade your washing to a ten minute one with a massage. Maybe that is how they get you to come back for more by doing a poor wash the first time. At least offer though because I always upgrade when possible.C 1/2) They dont give you anything to put over your outfit. I literally was told to stand up while water is dripping down my back after the faux wash and had to ask for a towel. Odd.D) Everyone was drinking wine or champagne and I was not offered anything. Maybe it is because the whole time I was sitting in the chair after the wash I was kinda seething anger because my scalp felt dirty and itchy while this poor boy is now trying to fluff it up.E) He didnt use any product of any kind? In front of him was Morracan Oil and a plethora of others products and I personally use Morracan Oil. He didnt even ask.Not for nothing but you can get a wash and blow from any salon for about the same price.I will go back and update my review when I do because I feel this place has potential.***This is the 2nd time I have posted this review on Google Maps because it keeps on disappearing and whomever makes a whole new maps listing for Drybar Atlanta. Its already been filtered from yelp.
