My sobriety date is February 22, 2017. That is the day I decided to RECOVER from the life of insanity and chaos that I had always known. My life was forever changed. In the years prior, my life was a repeating cycle of incarceration, hospital stays from overdosing, rehab after rehab & the insanity of addiction between it all. The fact that North Coast has separate sober homes for men & women made a huge difference, since I went there with my husband at the time. It saved my life really. I was able to find out who I was separate from him, which was vital because I was extremely co-dependent. I would not be the woman I am today had it not been for that opportunity. I had been to 6 rehabs prior and they were all inpatient. It was a good break from life but I was told what to do and when. I was not given the decision to make the choice on my own. Some people need that kind of care and I know plenty of people who have had great success from an inpatient facility. It definitely has to be the decision of the person seeking help for it to stick. For me, I needed a place that allowed me to make choices on my own. A place that was safe, where i could get up & do every day life things and make the CHOICE, the RIGHT CHOICE(S), on my own. That made ALL the difference for me. The treatment you receive at North Coast is amazing and they honestly, truly become family to you. At least they did to me. It is not easy to make the decision to change your life but if that is where you are and you have the desire for a better life, I would absolutely choose North Coast.Today I have 1 year, 10 months, 19 days, 16 hours and 33 seconds sober. I have a 13 month old baby girl and I have regular every other weekend visitation with my oldest daughter back. I am no longer in that toxic relationship and I am off probation. I would NOT be living such free life today if I hadnt made the choice to go to North Coast Recovery.

Working with the staff at North Coast Recovery has been a great experience. They are quick to respond and very helpful when Im trying to get someone in to treatment. Theyve teamed up with a group that has beautiful housing options and the treatment center itself is very comfortable. I would highly recommend calling North Coast Recovery if you are seeking help with your addiction.

I did outpatient through North Coast Recovery in April 2017. When I reached out in October 2018 needing help, they had everything lined up for me in an hour. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and goes above and beyond for their clients. It feels more like a family than a treatment facility.

If I could give less than one star I would. I didn’t go to north coast by choice but was taken in by them when my sober living and iop closed. Which was probably the only good thing they did for me. The local rumor about this facility being relapse row is no joke. Wendy and her boyfriend who own the buisness run it like a buisness and not like they’re dealing with people in early recovery. The groups for iop/op/php are horrible and didn’t help my recovery one bit. And while living at the house people were constantly using and nothing was done about it. At the end of my stay I had just gotten a job and made a payment plan with Wendy and her boyfriend, the next day I was told if I didn’t pay the full amount two days later I’d be kicked out. My boyfriend was also told he could stay until getting a place and after coming back from Christmas was kicked out that night. Leaving both of us homless. Most people working there you can tell have just taken a class on addiction rather than understanding it. There are a handful of people that work there(Micheal, Brittney) that are amazing and I’m thankful I had the chance to meet. But over all if I weren’t stable in my recovery and didn’t have the support system I do I would have relapsed and I would never recommend anyone go here. I’m leaving a review here but will also be getting into contact with the city because places that take advantage of the weak are not acceptable. (Also half of the good reviews are people whom work there)
