In the midst of the pandemic, Laurel of Greentree, have been proactively maintaining levels of safety for the patients and employees. I really do appreciate the level of communication and progress report on my mother. Thank you all for all you do! empathy and compassionate is the key to battle this pandemic as well as any other medical issues.

I have worked for other companies and I cant say enough good things about this one. They take care of the staff and guests, the building is clean, and the staff have what it takes to be a great team! Many of the staff have been here for years, to me that speaks volumes for healthcare companies these days!

I would highly recommend this facility. The staff is remarkably attentive & caring. The experience & the feel of the building is not at all institutional, it is very welcoming & spotless. I cannot say enough positive things about the therapy program, every team member is very knowledgeable and attentive to detail. Every meal was fantastic, there was a large variety of things to chose from that I enjoyed. It seemed that the staff overall was very thorough & they all provided excellent care across the board. Would highly recommend!

I recently had the chance to visit Laurels. For a lot of people, this is a very emotional time in their life and I am not the exception. You want to know that your loved ones are being taken well care of when they leave you. I can truly say that Kevin the administrator has kept my mind at ease through all of this. He was able to answer every question I had and they were tough questions. Not only was he good with me but he was great with my parents as well and my mom just loves him. Would highly recommend to anyone searching for long-term care

Do notq work here. The residents pay so much money and are not treated fairly only by some great staff. The problem is D.O.N. I did not get my hours nor payed for them correctly.I called local news and OSHA, as well as The State Department. So hopefully you will be actually changing sheets and the DON will be checking the residents as it is her job to go behind everyone.

My dear friend was a resident at The Laurels of Greentree Ridge for over 4 months, and because of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was NEVER able to visit her, except through a closed window, via cell phone. As both her friend and Health Care POA, I had to depend on the staff and management of Greentree to keep me informed of her condition and to provide some of the direct care and attention I would have provided, if not for the pandemic.I was very impressed and gratified by how well the Greentree community attended to both. My friend would often mention the kindness and caring of one of the nurses, CNAs, staff or management. I got phone calls letting me know when her off-site appointments were scheduled and whenever there was a change in her condition. It is worth mentioning that one of the main reasons my friend chose The Laurels of Greentree Ridge was because, at the height of the pandemic, they had had not 1 case of Coronavirus among residents or staff! To me, that spoke volumes about the care, cleanliness and commitment of Greentree!

I visit led this facility this past week while visiting some friends ; I was overall VERY impressed with the cleanliness of the building. There was a director there that was managing the building over the weekend, and everything went smoothly. We stayed through lunch & were able to eat with our friends at the facility. Everyone was so attentive to our friends and they had everything and MORE than what they needed. I would certainly recommend The Laurels of GreenTree Ridge to anyone and everyone.

I have a relative recovering from knee surgery at Laurels of Green Tree. They are so understaffed that he is having to crawl on his knees to get to the bathroom. The folks that work there are trying hard and very nice, but they are completely unable to keep up with the work load. Plus, the buzzer to call for help doesnt work reliably and the room is sweltering hot.

My grandmother has been admitted here for about a week and is being transferred immediately to a different facility. Where to start. She suffers from dementia and has cannot express what is going on with her so it is detrimental that the staff really be involved with her care. Unfortunately this is not the case. She has already developed a rash that was unattended until we brought it to their attention. They blamed her pain down there on her swollen legs. Her legs are extremely swollen and has extreme arthritis in her knee causing her to be unable to put any weight on it. I walk in to visit her and she is in a wheelchair in the hallway completely unattended. And of course she has no idea why. She complains her leg is “burning” as tears come down her face. The therapist requested her leg be elevated all the time to help with swelling but when I asked the nurse why the legs to the wheelchair are missing he told me and I quote “ oh she just holds her leg up while she rolls” you tell me where this makes any sense. When I confronted the therapist she responded by saying “ yeah I have told them over and over I don’t know why they aren’t”. Even simple things they cannot do. Her lips were so chapped when she drank water she complained of them being “on fire” and her lips are covered in dead skin. I go to ask a nurse for chapstick and he doesn’t even look up to me and just said sure. He comes and quickly applies chapstick without even wiping away the dead skin. It is sickening how much these people “care” and for 300 dollars a day I am completely appalled. I highly suggest never leaving a loved one here and to put research in before you think about doing so. We have lost our way as humans when it comes to compassion.

My mother in law was here for 14 days. She had a partial hip replacement and has severe dementia . We were visited in the hospital by their spokes person and she said how they were one of the top five. Well they are not. First of all we visited every day more than once a day. There was more times than most that we would hear a call button going off and it would not be answered for 15 or more minutes. I even walked out into the hall to see if there was lots of calls because they get loud and only one call light would be on. I actually had to use the call button and after 12 minutes I walked to the nurses station to get assistance. A couple of evenings later my mother in law got in the bed with the lady in her room who was recovering from a broken leg and it took well over 30 minutes for them to answer the call. The next few days were no better my mother in law fell 3 times. The 3rd time she hit her head on a dresser and a visit to the emergency room and 4 stitches later she is home with us. My husband and I arrived the same time the ambulance had gotten to her. The pool of blood was horrible. One of the nurses said it was 10 minutes before they found her. Their excuse it was shift change it was 3:30 p.m. or so when we got the call. It should not have matter if it was shift change. Do not take someone you love here. Keep them safe go elsewhere. I now know shes safe.

On October 12, 2017 my wife was placed in this facility after she fell at PACE and broke her leg just below the hip. Of course since she had early on set Alzheimer’s the anesthesia she had with the surgery to put a rod and screws in place sent her over the cliff and she ended up as a permanent resident. The Laurel’s had a high star rating when she came here and after a few months went down to one star. I personally observed this and can say I understand why. Some of the things other reviews say may have a degree of validity, but there is always another side of the story. Now that management has changed I see improvement and hope things continue in the positive direction I see taking place. Since my wife is here permanently, and I’m here every day to see after her, I will keep this review updated with further post. But as for now I can see the Laurel’s reaching a five star rating with the continued changes implemented and will update my star rating as improvements take place. Thank you Laurel’s for seeing the need and taking action.
