Great find!!! We were starving, wanting pizza and local beer. We really enjoyed both at White Labs Brewing. The staff was very helpful in guiding us with our decisions on beer and the wood fire oven pizza was delicious! We also had a green salad that was a great compliment to the pizza. My husband and I split both the pizza and salad and walked away full. We left so much happier than when we came in!!

This brewery is in a great calm spot of Asheville, with plenty of outdoors and indoors sitting and DELICIOUS food: garlic bread, mushrooms or sausage pizza and kimchi fries are my family’s favorite choices. They also have different especial pizzas each day, so make sure to ask about it. Their salads are large and the burgers are good too. The staff is super friendly and flexible to whatever needs: if you sit on the “terrace” you just need to go to the bar to put your order and they will deliver and set up everything for you upstairs. We typically do that because both of our dogs don’t like sitting by the tall chairs in front of the building where it is typically busier. Their side outdoor sitting is a great option fir small groups. Close to other breweries and local galleries by Millard Ave ;)

We ate at White Labs to wrap up our brewery hopping. The food and beer was great! My wife got the Hot Chicken Sandwich, and I got the Wings. My complaint is that the wings were pretty small. Luckily they were generous with their fries, so my wife had enough to share.

We tried this place again today hoping the pizza would be better but again its so burned on the bottom. It tasted terrible. It was the same burnt pizza as the first time we tried White Labs. We spent $95 on 2 adults pizzas, a kids pizza, wings, and a salad. Wings and salad were good but otherwise not worth it! Well be finding somewhere else to get pizza.

Wow, fantastic combination of craft brew made with their own specialized yeast strains. That captivate you with slight differences in the style of beer they produce.Theyre able to illustrate in three examples, Hefeweizen, and dark lager beer. Yes, change the yeast and you have a different style. They make the yeast and produce it in San Diego.Their food is magnificent, especially those hot wood fired pizzas. The Pizanos have it down with magic they create inside the wood fired oven.Take a look at the Brussels and Cauliflower, or the hot chicken, both are my favorites.Rarely does a small brewery, also have such great food.

Beer is a 5, service is a 1. At the Order Here spot I asked for a tap list, server pointed to them about 6 feet away. I looked, then ordered 2 beers, and was told that one of them was not available. I asked if anything else was also out so she showed me her tap list, about a third of the beers were crossed off. Im fine with that but why not tell me before I make a decision and then get told nope! I ordered and paid. There was no one else in line. Rather than just pour and give me the beers, she gave me a table stand that holds the number so a server can find us. Told her we would be outside enjoying the sun. After about 5 minutes I went back to ask about the delay, there was still no one in line. She said Oh, theyre right here, the server will get them to you soon. Soooo, I tipped 20% to wait 5 minutes and get Oh theyre right here, and then get them myself. The beer was great but service is inconsistent.

Pizza is good, if a little more charred than I would have preferred. Dough is of good quality, and is of good texture and chewiness. Smell is SUPERB. Could have used a tiny bit more sauce. Dont believe online reviews stating that a single pie fills 2 people if youre feeding 2 average adults. The crust isnt what Id call thin, but it isnt overwhelming either. Online ordering user experience is smooth and user friendly, and curbside service was punctual. Havent experienced dine-in, but noticed their patio has heaters and a variety of seating options. Location is convenient and impossible to miss if heading north (just off the road on the right).

Incredible!! From the drinks to the appetizers and pizzas! We drove 1.5 hours to go here after meeting the companies sales rep back in November of 2019 in Spartanburg, SC. He told us all about their yeast operation and described the restaurant to us and it did not disappoint!! Everything was excellent! We had the limeade, garlic bread and a mushroom pizza. I asked for a side of tomato sauce for dipping and it was so amazing, I purchased a jar to go! Put this on your MUST-GO list for Asheville!

I get a phone call saying they ran out of chicken. My food should have already been prepared, yet it took that long to even contact me.Then! The employee says I can order something else or get a refund. Had they an inkling of what customer service is and any idea of how badly they just failed to execute it, I would have been given a refund and offered a complimentary meal. ATTN: THIS REVIEW INCLUDES ONE OF MY TOPS TEN FAVORITE SNACKS EVER INVENTED: KIMCHI FRENCH FRIES!A plus + plus! I really was blown away by the quality of EVERYTHING here! This is a new spot in Asheville that everyone far and wide must try. The gluten free pizza dough was pretty high up there as well and was one of the best, if not the best, gluten free pizza option that I have ever encountered. We had the pepperoni pizza, the sausage pizza, the margarita pizza, the charcuterie board and the KIMCHI FRIES (all pictured). These special fries had a tangly, crunchy zest added by the kimchi topping, the chefs then added furikake, and brisket (this combo was out of this world!) and then drizzled them with sweet soy and yum yum sauce! Also, the chefs dust their french fries with probiotics, which was a lovely little healthy touch. Thanks for looking out for us, White Labs! We Love You! Til next time . . .

Two stars simply because the chicken sandwich was delish. We asked to be seated as a party of 8 on a quiet Sunday night and was told we could only be sat as 4 to a table. There was plenty of tables for this to be done. The customer service is lacking. We were told they were going to close up at 8 instead of 9 as listed on the website so we placed our orders. We were very rushed the entire time we were there. 25% gratuity was forced on all tickets even though we could not sit all together. The whole team seemed very passive aggressive and like they were doing us a favor.Food was good.. You could tell pizzas were rushed as some were doughy and some were burnt. I would suggest to update Google as to not put yourselves or your customers in that situation again. I will not be back simply because I prefer to be treated with respect from the people I am spending my hard earned money with.To add Kitty (our server was not as big of the problem as the male manager/ host/ whatever he was).

Great atmosphere, really like the cozy feel with wood-fire pizza cooking in the oven behind the bar. Spacious restaurant with plenty of waiters/waitress’, however it did take some time to get water refills and our food. Pizza is way over priced, you can expect to pay 13$-17$ for a pie that they say is a personal pizza (or you can share). Me and my wife split a margarita pizza and was still hungry and the pizza was mediocre at best. Their beer is quite good, you’ll have some that are more on the average side but at 5$ for a 16oz pour it’s really hard to beat. They also allow flights (8$) and they growlers are some of the coolest I’ve seen (4$ for a 32oz & 8$ for a 64oz). Overall pleasant experience but it wouldn’t be my first choice in AVL.

One of our favorite places to go for a great brew and a tasty chew. The beer is made in house with their own world renown yeasts that I used many moons ago for my own home brew. Its is a unique treat to visit a facility where a vital ingredient in the brewing process - yeast - is cultivated. Beyond the short but interesting free tour, the kitchen and taproom is simply phenomenal.Their brewers yeast is found in almost every item in their creative menu of pub favorites - from the bread on their hot chicken sandwich, to the dough in their wood-fired pizzas, to their crispy fries in the poutine. A group of us tried a bunch of different things off the menu and they were all great! In addition to a number of local collaboration beers with breweries like Bhramari and Boojum, they have a series of beers White Labs brewed themselves. (They are currently building out their on-site brewery, so their own beers are currently brought in from their San Diego operation.) For the true beer nerds, getting a flight of their beers is a real treat: for each style of beer (like IPA or pilsner, etc), they have two variants. The recipe is the same but the yeast is different. We had a great time comparing and exploring the flavor variability the yeast imparts on beers like pale ales where I usually dont think much about the yeast. The facility has ample parking, is accessible (the restrooms are on the 2nd floor, but theres an elevator) and has more than just beer (you can get a cocktail or wine or something non-alcoholic).

Giving 5 stars is not common for me. It needs to be above and beyond what you expect. White Labs was this place. First, we could not find food downtown and desperate we searched. We found this place 30 minutes before closing. You would expect staff to be less than thrilled people were coming in however, this was exactly the opposite. Every single staff member was over and above in every mayor. The hostess was so friendly, expanding all the COVID precautions, the bar tender came over explained the beers we were interested and even noted that our anniversary was the next day (this mental note he took, lead to an extremely kind action of an unexpected dessert), the waitress was attentive and very helpful. Then the food! We ate a fantastic-pizza and a hot chicken sandwich. The meal was so good that my wife and I decided to revisit White Labs on our way home. We detoured just to repeat the meal, and yes it was just as good the second time all around. Our new favorite place in Asheville!!! 5 stars all around 😃
