7/2/18After some really disturbing experiences at Muir Orthopedic Specialists, I was worried about seeing any doctor in the John Muir network at all. So I switched it up and took my PPO insurance to a foot doctor outside of my normal hospital, and he referred me to Dr. Choi since this area is her specialty!After breaking my foot last year, one of my toes healed a little off, even though I followed up and went back to John Muir twice to say something didnt feel right; I wasnt listened to, and now I need a surgery that will cut out part of my bone on my 4th toe. Ew!Dr. Choi made it seem really simple though. She explained the whole process, the surgery, what probably happened to cause this, how long recovery will be, etc. She spent a lot of time with me and answered my questions. The front desk staff were all awesome too. It was easy to schedule the appt and they were on-time the morning that I visited her Antioch location. She also has an Orinda location, which is just as close to my home - so thats convenient!I told the doctor about my upcoming trip to China/Thailand and she suggested I wait on surgery until after I return, and then shared about her love of traveling as well. She was really friendly. Honestly, if I were to describe EXACTLY what I want in a health care provider, shed completely fit the description. I really loved her and her office! So glad to switch hospitals!

Dr. Choi is an excellent surgeon. She is very professional yet kind and takes the time to make sure the patient can ask questions and clearly understands the procedure. Her staff is very professional yet caring. Dr. Choi takes the extra time to make sure the patient follows her instructions for care. I recommend her unconditionally.

Dr Cynthia Choi is totally amazing, been seeing her for several years now, highly highly recommended, very caring and professional. She works both here and out of her Brentwood office.
