This is easily the worst experience Ive ever had with a doctors office in my entire life. My three year old child is coughing terribly from what I assume is a sinus infection. We call ahead and talk with someone about whats going on, they say it could be an allergic reaction from the sounds of it. Tells us now is a great time to come. We come. We check in at 7:37. And now, at 9:52 I just left without being seen. They close at 8. I understand they close soon, they TOLD US to come. My child has sat in this lobby for over two hours coughing miserably. You know she is in pain. She is THREE. Every single worker here listened to my baby girl. Finally close to before I decided to leave, I asked for her test results of her RSV. Negative. I tell them we are leaving, we arent waiting any longer and do not bill my insurance for a full visit. This makes one of the ladies at the desk laugh. I am a single mother with a sick baby who just sat here for two hours essentially for no reason at all. I dont think its funny. They should be embarrassed.

I feel Im being generous about giving 2 stars. The receptionist is awesome. I was also seen quickly. When it came to getting my meds, this urgent care became as dysfunctional as it could ever be. I will not go here again!

They need to change their name from immediate to eventually care. We got here right at opening. 7 other people as well. It is now 2 hours later and we are all still waiting. 2 HOURS for the same 8 people that were here since 8 this morning. There is nothing urgent about this place. They need new management or someone that can keep the staff moving. I undertand at wait at least an hour but more than that is absurd. Fix this!

Total tipoff I was in need of my thyroid meds I called an talked to them told them exactly what I needed an was told that they would be able to help. To come in immediately checked in $25 copay all I had was 40 get the exam which my neighbor could have done. Was then told they couldnt give me scrip for my meds now if they had not told me they could I wouldnt have gone the i feel robbed

The entire staff is amazing, professional and caring. During this Horrid time of covid they have been forced to play security officers to people who are rude and impatient. They were up front from the beginning that a covid test would take 5-6 hours. They were not lying. I’m sure I drove them crazy going in every 90-120 min asking where I was in line. The handle me, who was just asking with compassion and care. Makes me so mad they have to step out of their important jobs to deal with jerks who think they are entitled. I’d give them 10 stars if I could!!! Amazing staff.

Completely disorganized.. Waited three hours while patiently watching people who checked in after me get seen ahead of me. When I asked them how much longer, the receptionist said I was already seen, had my records signed off by the doctor, and then discharged.

Firstly, the staff here is phenomenal! They go above and beyond to ensure that you are getting the very best care. I recently received my COVID vaccine and Barbara Lynn was so knowledgeable concerning what to expect once I receive the injection. She made sure I had contact number and told me to call any time of the day. When you find a place where strangers care about you then you adopt them as a provider! I am so thankful.

If youre trying to get in and out within an hour dont waste your time here go somewhere else! My wife waited over 3hrs for a Covid Test and the communication was horrible! Nothing is urgent or rapid about this place. If I could have given 0 stars I would have.

My daughter busted her knee open falling on a rock, I took her southern immediate care in Anniston, every one of their staff members were amazing, so friendly and polite and so sweet to my baby. She was terrified of getting stitches for the 1st time, they explained everything to her and were compassionate about treating her. Thank you guys for all that you do! I will refer anyone to you! I will definitely go back for further needs.

Wouldnt go back, staff was nice but the actual doctor seemed impatient and scared to even go through the routine of checking me. Unprofessional 💯 and waste of my time and money . Shouldve went somewhere else

Its almost 1pm and Ive been here since 910am. Took me 2.5 hours to see the nurse then the practitioner. He wasnt very interested in what iChat to say. I believe I was misdiagnosed. I wont be back

I absolutely love Southern Immediate Care. Everyone is super friendly, cares about their patients, and are very well educated. I always have a good experience and I will always go here when I can!

Just seem to be uptight.Made me feel uncomfortable. Staff doctor got mad about me explaining my medical problem. Wow...

My doctor is great and all but her staff can never send my prescription to the right pharmacy.

3 out of 10 patients confronted the nurses about the terrible wait time. Some poor baby crying for over an hour since we went back We were about to leave ourselves. Its hot & no usable cell signal

Every time I go to this urgent care center the staff is so friendly and quick. It can take a minute to get back, but once they get you back they are already prepared to give you whatever tests you need.

Called twice to get lab results. First time they werent in, Second time the person who answered the lab line didnt have a clue as to what on earth was going on. Supposedly took a message for someone to return a call to find out the course of action. NO phone call as of yet and that was 2 weeks ago.

Nothing is immediate about this place. Went for a covid test and was told it was a rapid test on the phone. Then the nurse said it was 24 hours. Then the Dr said 72 hours. So I have no clue when I will get my results.

Let me start this review by saying that there is only one reason that I’m giving 5 stars, and that is because of Tara. My wife and I were traveling to another country and had to have detailed information on a Covid test. We were very specific with what we needed when we were being tested and assured that we would receive this. When we went to pick up our results on Friday, 9/18, we were handed a document that I could have created on Microsoft Word with a faded letter head. When we asked about what we were told being included, the office staff acted incredibly put out and irritated about our request. They hand wrote all of the information on the incredibly unprofessional document and said that was the best they could do. I went back to the office the next day where I found Tara at the front desk. After explaining our situation, Tara empathetically addresses the situation and provided me with the exact document that we had to provide to customs for our trip. I was in the office for less than 5 minutes and got exactly what I needed. Why this required two trips is confusing, but if not for Tara, we would have missed our deadline for travel approval, all because of the laziness and lack of customer service we received from the staff present on 9/18, including the assistant manager. Tara was by far the most professional employee we dealt with from multiple phone calls, to 3 visits at Southern Immediate Care in Anniston. My 5 stars are for Tara.

The staff is wonderful except for one dr, she is very rude and has no bedside manner at all! Worst experience ever. And I have been going to them for years. Looks like the lost a loyal patient....

They had the worst communication ever. I went for a simple COVID test and had gotten one at this same location before. I was in and out the first time. This time I got the test within 30 minutes then was told to wait for the doctor whatever reason because they do NOT do rapid testing at this location. Therefore I waited 3 HOURS for her to walk in and tell me that she would call me. No communication between front desk, nurses, and doctor. WORST experience I’ve had at an “immediate” care place in a my entire life. Wasted my entire day and plans because lack of communication. I highly do NOT recommend coming here for COVID testing or if you have a serious illness or emergency.

The communication between the doctor, nurses and front desk staff is very poor here. I was very frustrated after my visit having not had my questions answered.

Staff was extremely helpful and nice. Especially Ms. Monica (front desk), Ms. Kayla (nurse practitioner) and Ms. Deaundra. They were all so sweet and did a great job!

As always Im leaving happy. Was scared from all the recent reviews Ive seen, but Im pleased. Walked in at 8am was called back by 8:10. Was given my test at 8:30, Dr. came in at 8:40 and Im now in the car at 8:55. Great staff!

Dont waste your time or money with this place, there very slow, they dont communicate well between nurses, dr., front desk. Ive had 3 different bad experiences with this location, last time they didnt call the prescription in, huge ordeal! And this time they didnt spell my daughters name correct when they sent it in, an the pharmacy wouldnt give the medication to us.Just frustrating! Wont be back

My daughter is sick and has to get a COVID test and has been waiting nearly or at least 3 hrs. to be seen. Ridiculous. They need to have more people working. This place is so so so slow!!!

Wait 2hrs to get in for a covid test, it is not even a rapid test as exclaimed online, not very busy either and good luck getting someone to answer the phone for your covid results when they even told you to call at said time to hear it. Do not waste your time nor money going here. Better off driving 20+ min elsewhere.

I don’t know why it’s called “Immediate” care...that is a joke. Called to get a Covid test and was told “walk in” only,,,couldn’t make an appt. We were told be there by 630pm as they close at 8pm. We drove 45 min to get here. We’ve been here 3 hours in the car the entire time. No wonder Covid is everywhere! We would not have come here had we known! There is no update...no idea when we will be seen. The only reason I gave this place 1 star is because a 0 was not an option. Will NEVER make this mistake again. Abysmal service!

Went for a covid test. Got a quick test and everything went smooth, then I found out they billed my insurance almost $3000 and now theyre sending me a $60 bill in the mail after I paid my copay already....

Dr and Staff were so courteous and thorough...I use them when my Dr is closed and Ive always been treated very good...I will always go here when I need after hours care...

This place is a ripoff cause they told me that I have to have a referral so I sent one and they didn’t say I need a referral per person and now I have to pay out of me pocket and they said it was miscommunication that’s how this place make money is not telling you that you need a referral per a person and I had went with my wife to get a COVID test.

I went there on a Saturday around 11am. I had had a fever of 102, vomiting, extreme diarrhea, and severe headache for more than 2 days. All I wanted was a COVID test to make sure that wasnt what it was.Nope. Was told I had to see the dr and to go sit in my car. 2 hours later, we called the desk because we STILL had not been called back. I guess they had forgotten about me because 10 minutes later I was in a room.Then I waited in the room over an hour. Was told only 1 doctor acheduled for ALL the patients for the day. I finally asked them if I could go lay in my car, as I was feeling so sick. Lo and behold, they said I was the next patient the dr was going to see.The entire staff is really nice and caring there ... they are just horribly overworked and understaffed.Today is day 8 since I went and I am FINALLY feeling better. But had I needed a return visit, I would have gone somewhere else. That is just too long of a wait for sick people!

Went for a COVID test that had to be done by a certain time. Let the front desk know what we were there for 3 times. The test took all of 30 seconds after waiting for almost 2 hours. The nurse said had she known what we were there for we wouldnt have been stuck as long. Obvious communication issues in the office, the name is extremely misleading when the average wait time is 4 hours. Do yourself a favor and find anywhere else.

Very friendly staff. The doctor was very patient and knowledgeable. He explained everything I needed to know in great detail.

Giving a negative review is not something I take lightly, however, when a person goes to Urgent Care the assumption of being seen in a timely fashion is inherent. I waited for over 2 hours. This is not an exaggeration, but an indisputable fact. I was never seen by the doctor. I asked for my copay to be refunded, and left after being placed in a room for two hours. A person who is very ill and needing immediate care would be well advised to seek treatment elsewhere.

Waited for FOUR HOURS for a COVID test, parking lot was half full, but mostly staff. I know they were staff because we also watched half the staff leave during this time, went in and asked how long it would be, they weren’t sure. we kept waiting, turns out a few of the nurses that had left didn’t say anything so nobody else in the staff knew. we had been there since 2pm but it wasn’t until 4:30pm they called to say “we’re just getting you into the system we need your insurance card.” around 6:30 we were tired of waiting (still couldn’t give us a timeframe) and told Them just to take us off of the list we’d come back another day, we got 10 minutes down the road before they called to tell us our room was ready. we said we had already left so they said they were giving our room to the next person then and that was the end of it. I wouldn’t recommend doing anything there unless you’ve got 4-6 hours to spare just to get your nose swabbed.

Friendly staff and super quick services (before covid 19), they tested my husband for covid and though there was a long wait they did keep us updated and continued to keep us comfortable and safe.

They never answer their phones. If they do they stick you on hold so long you get the answering service. Very unprofessional front office staff.

Dont know what happened here. Used to be a great place to go to get treated. Here almost 5 hours already with 4 kids and STILL no doctor has seen us. They put you in a room and forget you there. Ridiculous.

I dont normally leave bad reviews. The staff was very friendly, although the wait time was absolutely ridiculous. Me and my boyfriend waited for 3 hours to be seen by the nurse and weve been waiting now for atleast 30 minutes for the doctor to come in. I understand they are really busy, but we were not told it would take this long.

Very fast and efficient, the parking lot was full and I never saw another patient except from the safety of my car so pre planned distancing was flawlessly demonstrated! In and out within 30 minutes!

I took my daughter to have her tested for covid and was never called back with any results and apparently our insurance was supposed to cover 100% but we were charged a copay and it took way too long for the appointment.

We got here for Covid 19 testing. Were told they would bring paperwork out to us. Waited half an hour. No one else in the parking lot. They finally brought out paperwork an hour later they call me with questions. I get them answers and still wait and wait. They say they are really busy there are 2 cars in the parking lot and 1 is mine. Been here more than 2 hours and still waiting. People could die from Covid 19 before they can get the test done

My husband was in Anniston for business and wasn’t feeling well and decided to go to this urgent care. I give a 2 because he said overall the service was fine and in a timely manner but the receptionist was rude. He had to leave abruptly from Anniston and called to inform them that he needed to have his medicine sent to a pharmacy. She acted like she didn’t understand what he was trying to get her to do then told him it will take 24 hours to get his medicine to our pharmacy. Called the pharmacy the next day still nothing. Called them back and she was like it he didn’t say what pharmacy. It would have took a simple phone call to ask him what pharmacy again if that was the case. 3 days later still no medicine. Good thing it wasn’t anything he needed such as a inhaler or something or he would have been in big trouble.

In a world where quality customer service is hard to find, these ladies work in one of the most challenging environments, when it comes to dealing with the public, and they do it with class. They go above and beyond what is required and you do it with smiles. I know the job cant be easy, but you all are definitely appreciated.

They were really rude and really slow. I waited for 3 hours until I was the last one in the waiting room when I had been there the longest. They called everyone before me even though I was in front. Every person was in and out within the hour while i was just expected to sit and wait

Great time and care! The next day my son had an allergic reaction to the medicine that he has had numerous times with no reaction. They were very quick to my call and sent more medicine and steroids to help with no hesitation! Highly recommend!

I prefer Southern Immediate Care over my regular MD. Its quick, takes care of my familys problems, and seems to always be open. The Nurse Practitioner there, Connie, is so kind and always seems to know the best treatment options for whatever is ailing us. I always recommend Southern Immediate Care to my friends and family, and I will continue to use them for my familys needs.

They wont take checks. I wont be going back.American Family clinic in Oxford was more than happy to help. They even called me today to see how I am doing.

Please do not visit this place! I went and was there for three hours and left with the wrong diagnosis. I waited an hour in the waiting room (which I figured it’d be that way). I was placed in a room at 6:34 PM. Around 6:45, the nurse practitioner came in and asked me a few questions as to why I was there. She told me the nurse would be right in to run a few tests. Thirty minutes later, the practitioner came back to do the tests herself. She said it would only be a few minutes and then we’d go on to do the X-ray. I could hear them in the hallway just chatting. An HOUR later, I was taken back for the X-ray. I was told I had a gas bubble trapped and she didn’t think it was my gallbladder. She said they would call me the next day for a referral to do an ultrasound to check to be sure it wasn’t gallbladder issues. It’s been two days and still no call. I still was experiencing pain, and I knew it was more than gas pain. Sure enough, I have gallstones which will require surgery to remove my gallbladder. I spent three hours there just to receive the wrong diagnosis. Don’t get me wrong! The staff was friendly, but it’s not worth it!

Was our primary care physician. My fiance went because she felt she was having trouble breathing and thought she might have an uper resperatory infection. Note the entire time weve been going we have never seen a doctor only a nurse practitioner. So without doing any blood work chest x-ray or even proper examination prescribed some antibiotics and steroids. Two weeks later after finishing her prescription started feeling worse. Changed her primary care to another physicians office and went there and was diagnosed with pneumoniae after a chest x-ray. Months later were sent a bill charging us the full amount for the visit when as her primary care its a 15 co-pay.

I just moved to the area and randomly picked an urgent care. An additional test was ordered and they said the hospital would be calling me. When a week had past with not one phone call I called to see what was going on. They said oh well the procedure is closed out but we can re open it. What?! So now I have to start all over and go to a new Doctor. I’m giving them two stars because they’re friendly. I don’t recommend.

I came here to get a physical and had to wait an hour and a half until I finally saw the nurse practitioner, just for her to sign a piece of paper to say I am physically capable of working there. Theyre very slow.

I went in the Anniston office about the 2nd week of December with chest pains and breathing problems. They did ekg and xray and said all was fine but still wanted me to see a cardiologist which Im fine with 2nd opinion, they also did blood work and called me on the 29th od Dec to tell me I was diabetic, which I knew that and it was not only on my paper work but was told in triage, and that my liver enzymes were high and they wanted me to get a sonogram of my liver, I just got the referral lady to call me with a cardiologist apt a week ago and I have called 3 times about sonogram and she said that she would call me back with an apt by Monday and well today is Friday and still no apt. They may not be worried about my liver but as a diabetic it has had me worried for over a month now. I know Dr Junkins is a good Dr but his staff is giving his office a bad rep. They were all nice but someone isnt doing their job.

Been here for over 3 hours with my son which feels awful with flu symtoms. I didnt want to click even 1 star but a less than zero option isnt available. Place is a joke.

If I could give no stars I would I went up there just to get tested for Covid and I sat there for three hours I ran out of time I had to get a refund and go somewhere else because they were taking too long I saw people come up there before I showed up and they went in the back before me and I was there before them the women there don’t care will never ever go there again I’d rather die of sickness than going back there again

Drove down last night 40 mins away because I developed a high fever and felt awful. I have met my out of pocket expense with my BCBS which means all of my medical expenses are covered at 100%. But they would not listen to me and I even I tried to show them but they wouldnt look at my phone. I have had my insurance for 6 years and know exactly how it works. So waited til morning to come to Doctors Medcare and get called to the desk and told your out of pocket expense has been met so we will just bill the insurance. I knew what I was talking about! Teach them to learn abouy insurance or to listen to the patient sometimes. And I have no care for anyone to reach out to me.

Every time we go the staff and drs are great! Highly recommend them!

My son ,My wife and me was all really sick, We waited an hour in the waiting room just to get told they couldnt see us on a weekend when my dr is closed. But I could pay $100 to see there dr sounds like insurance fraud to me. I wouldnt take my dog to this place.
