I was able to get exactly at my appointment time. I was checked in and the doctor came in right away. She was very thorough and took her time to explain things and make sure I understood and was not rushed. I highly recommend this practice.

I have been going to Advanced Dermatology for several years now and have had wonderful care from them. The staff is very professional and always helpful. Julie is the best! She always takes the time to listen and has help me with several different issues including a small spot of basal cell right on the front of my neck. She really did a great job of removing it so that it was completely gone but still minimized the scarring that would show afterwards. I high recommend Advanced Dermatology for all your needs.

A home away from home. I love the staff here. Everyone is super friendly and Professional. I have psoriasis and Keli Clair is awesome! She changed my former reptilian appearance to smooth skin I can be comfortable with. She works her magic every time I go there. Five Stars because I cant give Ten!

Front desk person was nice. The exam with the PA felt like he wasn’t paid enough to even be there. It was a complete waste of time and money. Now I have to re-schedule again just to see the real dermatologist to have a quality examination. I’m praying this isn’t going to be a pattern with the dermatologist as well.

I just saw Dr. Amos today and Ive never had a better experience with a Healthcare provider in all my life. Ive seen some complaints about him saying that he rushes but I dont think the case. He checked me throughout and took care of my concerns right away. I love the fact that hes quick and efficient.

Easy to make an appointment on-line, I was in and out of the office quickly, and I thought Julie Catlin was outstanding (friendly, knowledgeable, thorough)

Front desk staff were ok, but my skin checkup with the PA was extremely quick and in my opinion, less than thorough. PA was not interested in diagnosing the strange skin infection that was on one side of my face. Was thrown cream and told to call in two weeks if it wasnt clear.

I am a regular patient, now paying for past indiscretions from sun protection! They always do their best at screening, scraping, and freezing those nasty spots! Thanks!

I dont like writing negative reviews but I am beyond appalled with this place. I just called their practice to make an appointment for a skin cancer exam. A recording picked up and said, if you are over 50 press 1, with apprehension, (clearly age discrimination) I pressed one. A girl picks and with urgency in her voice begins to try and sell me a medical bracelet. I tried to interrupt to ask her why this was happening but I could not get a word in so I hung up.

I have been going to Advanced Dermatology for about 2 years now, for Psoriasis on my skin. They got to the root of my problem and took care of it. I am very happy with my results. They keep on top of my other medical issues , by checking my blood, xrays and any other test that needs to be done. I feel i am in good hands with all the staff at the office. Everyone I have dealings with in the Annapolis office are nice, helpful and I give all of them five stars.

Appointment was scheduled in a timely fashion, front desk was pleasant, although the doctor, Clifford Amos, seemed like he was in a rush. He only spent a few minutes with me, then prescribed medication. Wish he spent more time taking about why I was there. Overall, I would recommend this place because the other doctors I have seen have been knowledgeable and friendly.

The staff was wonderful. I was seen by a PA Clifford Amos. He was very annoyed by my questions and did not like that I had done my own research - very condescending. I would go back, but would ask for someone else.

My appointment was for 1:45. At 1:50 I was taken to the examination room. Information was taken by the assistant who left the room and asked me to disrobe. Several minutes later she and the PA returned to the room and an examination began. The PA and assistant left the room and I was instructed to dress. I did so and a couple of minutes later the PA and assistant returned to the room. A sales pitch for a pharmacy that is not covered by insurance began. At 2:00 I was at the check out desk. The entire process took 10 minutes including time to change clothing and the sales pitch. The cursory exam that took place was in my opinion inadequate and unprofessional. Previous examinations at different dermatologists took 20 to 30 minutes and very thorough. This, on the other hand, was in my opinion, a joke and designed to sell medications that are not covered by insurance.

Had a very good experience with a new provider. Initiated online and was seen next day for a concern. The Dr diagnosed, prescribed to an online pharmacy. I had a call bt time I was home and script on the way. The receptionist contacted previous Dr and my records were transferred.

Very professional, immaculate and friendly office. The Covid-19 protocols were in place and I felt very comfortable in the Waiting area. In addition, my appointment was timely, as well. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone.

The staff is wonderful! All the necessary precautions are taken as it relates to Covid. The wait time is very short compare to my other doctors.

Dr Kleiman is soo nice and understanding! The places are super clean and staff is very friendly at both locations (Arnold and Annapolis).After doing my research, I felt really lucky to have De Kleiman as my surgeon given his experience and skills

I went in for an appointment for skin and scalp issues and left with advice to do, basically what I’ve been doing and recommendations to treat my scalp issues that are impractical and damaging for African American hair types. I was advised to step up my hair washing from once per week to 3 or 4 times per week. Seeing as how I have Afro textured hair, I also have to be concerned with drying and straightening my hair after each wash, so washing 3-4 days a week and then restyling would completely damage the hair strands as the hair would not be able to withstand the heat from the hair drying and a flat iron after washing to that degree. As for the skin, I was told to moisturize more and given some samples. If a patient is at the point of seeing a doctor for skin issues, such as excessive dryness, it would stand to reason that they’ve likely tried many over the counter products that they have access to already. It boils down to leaving the appointment feeling unheard.I contacted my hairdresser and she was able to recommend 3 dermatologist that some of her clients have used that understand that different patients have different needs. I was able to get an appointment and speak with the PA at the new office on a virtual call to explain my issues and why I am hesitant to follow the recommendations given by this office, he understood my concerns about the recommendations and why they may create a hair loss issue or compromise the integrity of my hair strands.Overall, the office is nice and clean, the front desk staff is very friendly and helpful but I don’t know that the medical staff is versed enough on the types of treatments best suited for my particular issues.

Appointments scheduled quickly (meaning soon after calling with request); quick check-in including screening for COVID; iPad-enabled collection of personal health info for new patient; very short wait until seen for examination; excellent interactions with attention to questions and clear answers. On the basis of my experience, my husband is now a new patient as well.

Julie Catlin PA-C is great but the office reminder program is a nescience.I have received 2 calls and 3 text messages for appt reminders. This is the 2nd or 3rd reminder to rate them

Dr B barely spoke, barely analyzed what was wrong with me. He didn’t explain the prescription he prescribed to me. Our conversation lasted maybe 3 minutes. Now I’m not reacting well to what was prescribed. Maybe if he had analyzed my skin more instead of saying “oh are you here for acne, ok here is this prescription” he would have known the right thing to prescribe me. Everyone is different. How do you prescribe properly if you don’t get to know your patients. Clearly this doctor just wants people to get in and out instead of actually helping people.

My experience with them happened several years ago, but my new dermatologist has led me to leave this review. As a new client, I arrived 15-20 minutes before my appointment to fill out the paperwork. With that completed before my appointment time, I still waited over 45 minutes past my appointment time to be seen. There were 2 waves of people who arrived after me and were seen first. After I was finally seen, I wasnt even able to finish telling the doctor what was going on before she had diagnosed me. I was told the cracking and dry skin was eczema and there was no cure, but I would need expensive creams to help manage it. So I did and dealt with skin so bad it would crack and bleed for years. After I moved and my current prescription cream was running low, I went to a new dermatologist to get a new cream. He was able to properly diagnose it as a fungal infection and put me on a proper regiment of drugs that has already made an incredible difference. Easily the worst experience Ive had with a doctor.

My appointment was very abrupt with Dr. B. He barely spoke to me about my issues with my scalp. Spoke to the side to his PA some medical jargon and didn’t bother to let me in on what he was even talking about. I don’t even know what the topical solution is that he prescribed . This was my first ever appointment with a dermatologist and I unfortunately don’t think I’ll be returning to this office. Very poor job, terrible patient care.

Great service!!! I called to get a future appointment at about 2:30PM one afternoon. They gave me a 3:30 appointment for that day. I arrived at 3:20 and went straight back to the examining room. After the doctor did a quick and thorough skin check, I was back in my car at 3:30PM.

Fast yet still very informative

We just moved to Annapolis and a friend recommended Capital Dermatology. From my first phone call inquiring whether they took new patients and honored my insurance, to my initial visit, I was impressed with the courteousness of the front desk staff. They are friendly and efficient and made me feel welcome. The wait to see the doctor was not overly long.The doctor herself was very professional and I felt confident I was in the best medical hands. I am happy to have found a dermatology home in my new home town!

We drove here for an hour for an appointment that was scheduled prior with all of our information including insurance! Upon arrival with our 7 year old child (who’s appointment it was) we were told that they do not except our insurance!!! Office manager was not willing to accommodate at all except to tell me I can pay out of pocket which is ridiculous because they told me over the phone that they except it so instead of submitting to insurance as an out of network doctor and getting payed less because of the mistake they made they tried to get me to pay fully out of pocket!

Our entire family has been seeing Julie Catlin for 9 years and are always so pleased with Julie and the entire office staff. From check in to check out, we have been treated with respect and kindness. Julie is a true professional with a personal touch. We would not considering going to any other dermatology practice ever. Thankfully we found Julie and Capital Dermatology after being seen in 3 different practices. We would highly recommend this practice!

I love Capitol Dermatology. They have warm personnel at the front desk as well as the waiting time is great. The physician assistant has great bedside manor, and diagnose the problem after careful examination , giving you greatMedicine to take care of the problem.

Went in for Botox to smooth out my “11”s inDec 2019. I was told 20 units was standard for this area. After about a week I noticed very little change, and went back to see if this was normal. The Dr I saw told me to wait another week for the full affect. I came back 4 weeks after the original procedure (I was out of town over the holidays). I still had a lot of movement, and at first was told that that was the best result I would get with Botox. I expressed how disappointed I was with my results. She said there was nothing more she could do. After a little back and forth she realized that she had not given me any more units in the appointment (at the 1week point) and injected 5 more on one side. It’s been about 6 weeks and it doesn’t even look like I had Botox. I still have movement and one of the wrinkles is deeper now and longer than before.Extremely dissatisfied with my results.Extremely dissatisfied with their lack of wanting to fix the problem.
