I love Sha Zen! My husband and I have been looking for a great massage therapist for literally years. This summer, I was having a major muscle issue in my back that I needed help with, so I spent a fairly significant amount of time doing research in the Ann Arbor area. I was immediately impressed with Sha Zens website and online scheduling system. I looked into Shannon(owner)s background and experience and decided to give it a shot. It was the best massage Ive ever had!!! Shannon is extremely professional and knowledgeable on so many massage techniques. Her spa is in a great location, is very clean, and beautifully decorated. Her COVID precautions are also great and made me feel comfortable. My husband I both bought packages to see Shannon regularly! I HIGHLY recommend supporting Shannons small business! She seriously cured my back ailments in just one visit!

Shannon is highly skilled, caring and attentive. I recommend the Craniosacral work she does. It is so gentle yet makes remarkable changes in my body. I always leave her office pain free, grounded and balanced.She takes COVID precautions seriously and keeps her clients safe with temperature checks and proper PPE. Absolutely wonderful, serene space. I’m happy Shannon is a regular part of my wellness routine.

ShaZen is a place of tranquility and serenity. The room is very relaxing as soon as you walk in with a beautiful waterfall. I had craniosacral and felt very relaxed in in touch with my body after the therapy. CranioSacral is light touch but so powerful for the body and brain. The rest of my day I was floating on a cloud of bliss! I highly suggest going for a CranioSacral session!

Amazing experienced therapist. I love Dayna I like high pressure massages and she does amazing work. The hot stones are great as well! The environment is so relaxing and the smells of the aroma therapy isnt to strong like most other places.I highly recommend.

I gifted my mother a 90-minute personalized massage, and she loved it! Shannon was very professional, easy to contact, and very thorough in her history-taking prior to my mothers massage. She worked around my mothers needs and medical history, which allowed her to tailor an effective, therapeutic massage. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely FANTASTIC!!!Ive had several massages with Shannon and no two massages are the same! Shannon starts the session by asking what your concerns are and addresses those, but somehow she always finds muscular problems that I had no idea I had until she lands on it. She includes gentle stretching when needed to fix different problems and unlike a massage chain, she is never in a rush.I always feel like she truly cares about my overall health! I highly recommend Shannon at Sha Zen Massage!!!

Shannon is an incredibly talented massage therapist. She really listens to what areas of your body need the most attention and then tailors your session to those needs. I sit behind a computer for at least 12 hours/day and have neck/back pain because of it. Shannon does this phenomenal stretching routine with my neck...and I always leave feeling renewed! Highly recommend the dry brushing add-on as it stimulates the skin and makes it more receptive to the oils she uses.If youre looking to relieve pain/soreness from targeted areas on your body or are merely looking for a relaxing massage, try Sha Zen-- you will be blown away!

Sha Zen massage has recently started selling dermalogica. I have been looking for a routine to clear up my acne, as I’m getting ready to graduate high school. I was traveling thru Ann Arbor and needed a massage very badly. The flights and car ride from Chicago had knotted me up. I am a used to amazing massages near my home and went to the internet to find. I called and left a message, within 5 minutes Shannon called and set my appointment up with Erika. Erika met me in the entry area and offered me water or a restroom. We sat down in the massage room when she went over what my needs were and asked if I had any injuries. Prior to your massage they email you a form to fill out on health conditions and personal info. As we finished our consultation she left the room so I could disrobe. The massage was wonderful and she had a hot rolled towel for under my neck, as well as aromatherapy (lavender) for calm. It was a start to finish perfect massage where she asked if I was ok with the pressure. It was not constant talk that took away from the massage but, perfect communication to ensure I was happy. When the massage had finished she point out a chart of the muscles of the body and explained exactly where my issues were. She encouraged me to watch my stretches (Im a runner) and stay hydrated after the massage. Perfect... Well it was so perfect I returned the next day. Again Shannon answered me and told me she had a day appointment with Michaela available. Although once again a deep tissue massage her technique was different than Erikas but with the same perfect result. The consultation was thorough and she pointed out that Erika left her notes on my file to help. She also inquired about the pressure in a reassuring way. I see many reviews for the owner Shannon, who is incredibly professional with follow up emails and text after you book an appointment or when you check out. I can speak to how two others on the staff were....Both were amazing and I would book again without thought.

Shannon is so knowledgeable about the root causes of pain issues and is not afraid to put in the work to actually solve the issue...a rare quality in a lot of massage therapists. Definitely worth a try - you wont be disappointed!

Wasnt setup gave a minute massage and charged for a hour and said they offer a traditional Thai massage where they walk on you and they dont and the deep tissue they offered to me instead when I got there was weak and did no good the girl seemed uncomfortable and not well trained
