Told me I definitely had liver cancer but by patient portal and via a nurse. Never any phone call. I have been successfully treated for it at Mayo. No comparison, UM is not in the Big Leagues

Very good clinic.. I’m sure the bad reviews aren’t lying.. but for me they were very knowledgeable and good doctors.. a little slow with the appointments and everything don’t get me wrong.. but if u have something curable or treatable they will find it. Lot of things a regular doctor will never find or diagnose confidently

I have been trying for two months to get a refill on a prescription. I did everything they asked of me, yet, no prescription, despite calling multiple times. My pharmacy even reached out with no response. Today, finally, they said they mailed my prescription to me, even though they were supposed to fax it directly to the pharmacy. Ugh!! Two years Pre-Covid my doctor went back to teaching at the hospital full time which left me in the care of a doctor fresh out of med school. The first time I saw him he didnt even know how to write a hard copy prescription (WHAT??). Good thing I only have to visit once a year so I can get my meds. I never had these issues before my doc went back to teaching, so Im not sure whose to blame, the doc I was assigned, or the gastro clinic in general. If I could switch practices I would, but unfortunately due to the medicine I take, I cant.

In the past 5-8 years, this place has cratered in terms of care. I had a very competent MD during a tough time for me, medically. He has since left the institution (he’s not alone) and I was assigned a doc with whom I don’t have any rapport. I tried to change doctors and they wouldn’t let me! Seriously.I’m due to return and am going over my options. I plan to once again try to change doctors and now I’m angry so we’ll see what happens.

Worst care, worst management of any department of any health system I’ve ever been to. I’m thinking about switching hospitals, but all of my other care is at UM, and ideally I would stay within the system. I’m making one more attempt with them, and if it fails, I give up.

They did absolutely nothing for me there no good. Bad medicine
