If I stayed at BEMC, I would have died. This is not an exaggeration. They are careless, not updated on how to treat chronic infections and other chronic ailments, rude, and can be highly conniving if you question what they are doing in any way shape or form (like asking why none of their doctors wear masks or why the receptionists barely wear their masks).

I used to see Dr Reese and have transitioned to Ivy. I was afraid of losing connectivity with this facility because I stabilized. Ivy ordered additional tests and at follow up she recommended some new supplements for continued improvement. I was fearful to switch providers but she has renewed my faith via such a thorough look at my tests and review of symptoms for continued improvement. I am hopeful with this new plan for not just stabilization but improvement. Ivy is thorough and caring. The staff has always been friendly, efficient, and thorough. I have been going here for nine years and love it!

It’s hard to rate Bio Energy on the first meeting since I would want to rate if their recommendations were correct. I do want to say that everyone was extremely friendly when I arrived. I sat with Dr. Ivy for about an hour to discuss my health issues and she had a lot of recommendations right off the bat. Felt really good to sit and not be rushed. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it took so long to get an appointment. Like waiting for months.

I felt like I was being heard and not judged. I already have a nutritionist that I work with that has been very helpful and Maria does not insist that I abandon that protocol; in fact, she stated that it can continue to be my main support while she supplements it with further testing and addressing those needs. Such a relief to find someone with a medical degree who does not take my list of supplements from the nutritionist and mentally throw it in the trash can and offer only Big Pharma solutions. Looking forward to seeing what else they can offer as I await test results.

Im so glad I have the option of seeing Maria Gahry, one of the nurse practitioners at Bio Energy. Im not having any major health issues, but just wanted an idea of my bio chemistry, and if there are foods I am sensitive to but not aware of. After the testing was completed, I met with her for 30 minutes, and now have an idea what to do to maintain my best health. Feeling very proactive.

No wait time. Ivy truly listens to what I have to say and doesn’t try to push things on me if I’m not interested. I also appreciate that it feelslike a non-judgement zone when meeting with Ivy. Anyway, I am thankful that I have found Ivy after I recently relocated back to the area to follow my needs.

Did they even go to Medical School? They push their views on desperate people for an enormous profit. It is hard to find a good doctor, but doesn’t mean you should let them take advantage of your situation.

Absolutely horrible business. I had an appointment with them on a Monday and called to cancel the Friday before. They were closed (apparently not open fridays) I left a voicemail telling them to cancel. Called them that Monday morning to make sure they got it. They told me I will still be charged the full amount $350 because I “didn’t cancel within 48 hrs.” I assumed they would be open on a Friday. Told them if they can’t fill the spot that I will still come in because even though I don’t need the appointment I’m certainly not getting scammed out of $350. Made it VERY CLEAR to call me if they don’t fill the spot. They never called and I just received the $350 bill. THEY ARE HORRIBLE PEOPLE. I’m extremely sick, can’t work, can’t even afford groceries and now I have a $350 bill for NOTHING.

Everyone in the office is so kind, friendly, and helpful and Ivy Carson is no different. She is so kind, knowledgeable, patient in answering questions, and above all caring and I truly feel like I have a partner in health who is there for me.

I have been a patient of Dr. Neu for years now. I have spent thousands of dollars having him and his staff treat me my Lyme disease. After being in remission for over a year I started to feel a little off again. I called his office to speak with him and make an appointment. I was told since I have not seen him in over a year I would be charged at least $375 for his time! This medical facility should be ashamed of themselves. Not only do they not work with insurance, we are expected to pay astronomical amounts just to speak with a doctor that I already have developed a relationship, have seen countless times, and have even paid to have my children to see him. It’s a very sad day when money rules over patient care. I would not recommend and will not recommend this place ever again.

Maria took the time to listen to my daughter’s concerns. She did not make her feel rushed so she could get to the next patient. After GI consults, neuro consults, allergy testing, diet changes, multiple visits to our primary care doctor and a gall bladder removal - over the course of 5 years - she was not getting better.Bio Energy Medical Center was our last effort to find out what is going on with my daughter. Ive been to several different doctors..specialties and hospitals and this place by far has given me the most hope out of any physician Ive ever seen. They are thorough and listen very well. Ive been to Beaumont Royal Oak.. Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota and University of Michigan. I have had several doctors dismiss me because I am a very rare challenging case. Not one doctor has been able to figure me out. I have seen nephrologist urologist infectious disease rheumatologist gastro Cardiology and Womens Health. Ivy allows you to express your thoughts and ideas without getting a huge ego like most Physicians do and the Healthcare System. I highly suggest this place. Put your money where its going to work for you. Western medicine has failed me.

The good and the very bad. A review that I hope management at BEMC sees and genuinely tries to fix within their office.The Good:Maria is amazing for her age and experience level. Shes younger, but intelligent, professional, has no ego - resulting in a great bedside manner, and she seems like she wants to constantly improve. Shes open to your thoughts and needs. Overall, I really adore her. Dr. Neu is good as well, his office lacks a few things that could make his team the best of the best, so really their team is good overall, but nothing more. Michigan just doesnt have amazing doctors. There are great doctors like Neu and Maria, but not amazing, which is what tricky chronic illness needs. But, I think he is doing his best with the parameters hes given.The bad:The office staff made me hate my doctors for awhile and I almost stopped going there. I had no idea who was screwing up so so much, the women up front or my doctors? Every time I called to have a *simple* question or update that I was told I needed to call them about it seemed like (1) the message that I CLEARLY explained to them (usually Jen) ended up skewed and screwed up, resulting in the doctor not receiving the correct information, resulting in incorrect MEDICAL advice (2) the message was NEVER given to my doctors (almost always Jen).Jen has screwed up my prescriptions and medical messages on more than 8 occasions. Meaning ALL occasions. Ive had to manage her, yet not get paid, to make sure SHE is doing her job, which she doesnt do. Other patients ALSO have issues with her and her rude attitude. Which doesnt always come out, but Ive witnessed it multiple times. Ending up in tears after a call because I was so disrespected. I am fighting for my life and she takes advantage of the weak and sick at times.Ive spoken to another women, I forgot her name, she sounds younger and a heck of a lot nicer on the phone, she is kind, caring, SMART, and on top of IT. I do feel its that BEMC is not the right place for someone like Jen, a regular doctors office yes, not here, you are dealing with patients who are close to death and in great despair. We need compassion, kindness and we need people to follow through (correctly) at least 80% of the time. Not 0-10%.YOU NEED A PATIENT PORTAL! Not all of your staff is competent enough or caring enough to get important messages and prescriptions to your doctors!!!!!!!!! Every doctors office has a PORTAL, maybe not some little office down south thats ran by some 78 year old male doctor that should have retired, but didnt, but other than that, EVERY medical office far and wide has one.Its very disrespectful to your patients (many who are near deaths door) to not have one so they can have access to fair, decent, and accurate medical treatment. Please consider doing this as soon as possible.Update: Thank you to BEMC management for your response. Unfortunately, I do not feel comfortable speaking to you about the issues I have. After speaking with multiple other women at your office who also have issues with Jen, it seems they arent comfortable going to you either. In response to the portal, I have been to alternative offices of your size, that have been in business for a 1/4 of the time, that arent affiliated with hospitals and they have their own portals (not attached to a hospital). Their top priority is communication with their patients though. In the end, it makes things more efficient, yes the doctors have to do a bit more work responding back.

Thanks to Dr. Neu I have my health (and my life) back again! If you have a health challenge and feel like you have tried everything, give Dr Neu a chance. Thank you Dr Neu!
