My symptoms and pain have never been ignored here. Everyone is so nice and have always done everything they could to ensure my comfort and a speedy recovery. At the children’s emergency, children are listened to like adults and treated with respect.

UofM Children’s Emergency needs to set higher standards for themselves. I understand that they are busy and have a lot of patients to see, but for me there is no excuse for making a newborn baby wait eight hours to be seen, especially in an emergency room. Nobody, and I mean nobody was moving with a sense of purpose. Like I said, they need to set higher standards for themselves.

Have taken our kiddos to the local ER and have been scolded for bringing them in with croup symptoms. We have never experienced this at Mott. Rather, the team always listens carefully, crosses every T and dot every I. They actually caught a significant tumor in my 12 year old that would have easily been dismissed by others. Whenever we need an ER, we bring all of our kids here, even with nearly an hour drive.

ER Nurse Rachel is rude. If your child is being triaged by her, ask for an other nurse. She hung up on me when I questioned her about the policy she created on the fly. They have the best doctors and nurses but unfortunately we had to deal with one that didnt seem to care.

Its so sad i cant give them 0 stars! i hate this place!!!my daughter is suffered for 1 year and until now. We went to emergency because of high fever but one of the nurse/doctor poked my daughters eardrum and got so much blood and there is a hard blood and earwax on her ear that they cant take it out! they didnt even told me that they poke her eardrum until i asked them because i saw it on my ear flashlight that there is a scab inside her ear. The worst experience ever!!!!horrible place!

I have taken my son here twice: once for croup In the middle of the night and also for a leg injury. The staff is wonderful, private rooms and amazing doctors.

We checked my 7 year daughter in at 12:30am due to her harsh coughing. It is now 5:31am and we are still waiting for a doctor to speak with us about the notes, results, and treatment plan for her. Although the staff is nice, they are not on their game. We have been sitting here hungry, exhausted, and cold. Its snowing outside and we already have a 40 min drive to get back home. They have not offered us water, juice, nor any snack. We literally had to keep asking for everything. I am disappointed in Childrens Hospital (at least the emergency room). And wont be back again.

Checked in at 3:33 PM, was assigned a physician at 9:22 PM. Six hours to have a doctor assigned to our little girl, who was later diagnosed with pneumonia. We have twins that were born at 26 weeks - have been to Children’s Hospitals across this country. Michigan was unorganized, especially in the midst of RSV/Influenza season. Their staff under the doctors and physician assistants are poorly trained - offering little communication until I complained at the 6 hour mark.Given our experience, I recommend a children’s hospital that values patient communication and touch points. We would have understood triage/prioritization of kids coming in with RSV - but was never given a heads up that we would face long waiting periods. We were there for almost 10 hours - had one chest x ray and a 2 mg pill of Zofran. 90 percent of our time was spent alone, not knowing what was next. No path forward.Overall - Poor communication - the medical team and staff need training.

Best experience we’ve ever had in an emergency room. We’ve been to boumont and children’s hospital both were awful. We came in and the girls at the desk we’re amazing they helped us get in smoothly and fast. We were in for my daughters nursemaid elbow, she hates the doctors but the nurses were patient with her and very loving! The Doctors were amazing as well! Will always 10 out of 10 time go here for any emergency visit with my daughter even when it is a 45 min drive for us! Totally worth it! Thank you guys for the best and most friendly experience my family has ever had at an er:)

The wait may be long at times, but we have had amazing staff 99.9% of the time we end up here. Every hospital has good and bad attached to them and the good most definitely outweighs the bad here.
