Im really not surprised by the negative reviews here. I cannot believe they expect people suffering from mental health woes to remember to schedule all follow-up appointments. Practitioners should be scheduling these AT the appointment. You could have to wait four months for another appointment because you forgot to call after your appointment. Wait times on the phone are abhorrently long, and god forbid your practitioner forgets to put in a refill or screws it up, because the phone process is long and confusing. I once had to wait over a week for a medication because the practitioner never sent it in, then sent in an old medication, then that one was the wrong dosage, and it was all sent to an old pharmacy in another town. There are a lot of very frustrating things about this place that cause me to not be able to recommend it to others if you can help it. U of M is terrible, but this place is barely a step above U of M mental health. Try somewhere else!

THEY PRESCRIBED ME DOUBLE OF MY CURRENT PRESCRIPTION WITHOUT DISCUSSING IT WITH ME AND I ALMOST DIDNT NOTICE. When I called to talk with a doctor asking for a refill, I confirmed the dosage. They are also able to see what the dosage was in the past. awe did not discuss an increase. I trusted that they got the dosage correct so I didnt think to double check, but the tablet was much larger than expected. I also had to call several times to have it sent over to my pharmacy. Messing up prescription medication is very very dangerous and I will be finding another service ASAP.

Our experience with Meriam Sam has been unsatisfactory. I believe Meriam is a capable nurse practitioner and can offer sound support/advice to her patients however our interactions with her have been extremely unpleasant and leave us feeling more angry than anything. Her ego is astounding.Meriam’s communication skills are poor. She doesnt stop talking long enough to listen and talks at a pace that is too fast to follow. She also doesnt know how to converse with parents of a teen patient. My last discussion with Meriam included her telling me that I do not understand my daughter like she does. We have only met with Meriam twice. Our second meeting was post-neuropsych evaluation. It was extremely rushed and Meriam seemed to be looking at the report for the first time in front of us. She became very focused on a comment in the report that I questioned after it was clear she did not read the report prior to meeting with us. This led to a one sided discussion (Meriam talking again) that added a new medication to our list, did not address how her current medication is working or not working, disregard for previous recommendations for care, and a new recommendation for another appointment with a specialist.I have also been told by Meriam, very firmly, to not talk to my daughter about what she is going through. In addition she told our daughter nothing in our home would be changing for her. I believe that to be out of the scope of a CNP.Our family is moving on to a new CNP. Meriam Sam may be a good fit for some but she is not a good fit for us.

This clinic provided poor care to a friend of mine. It’s incredible to think how much he and his insurance paid for this second-rate treatment. Be sure to keep a written record, or you may end up being mistreated without documentation.

The office staff is incredibly slow and fail to communicate properly with patients. The clinical staff is good. Ive had no complaints with the doctors and therapists; however, the whole place is poorly ran.Ive been a patient there since the fall and had nothing but issues with the clerks. They are lackluster and seem annoyed when you find yourself calling them non-stop because they hang up on you or never pick up the phone. Its very frustrating.I anticipate moving to hopefully a more fluid and patient friendly clinic soon

Dr. Sharon, Alex and Marilyn you should be ashamed of how your running this facility! Providing a nonprofit service doesnt mean you get to treat people with no respect. The lack of accoubtability of the team here is appalling. Lack of returning calls, follow up, communicating timely with patients, physicians, pharmacies, etc is unacceptable. You all took an oath to serve ethically to work towards the benefit of the health of the public, how about getting back to that or moving on to allow someone whos qualified and willing to do so. The facility is needed but its only as good as the individuals who serve in it. No shade intended but the entire team can do better, it starts at the top!

Ive been seeing Miriam S. For over a year. I enjoy her very much and we get along great. The only problem I have is with getting Rx filled. Ive been trying since early march. And still no refills or no authorization for rx. Very upset and frustrated at this point.. This is one reason why people commit suicide.

The doctors and therapists are lovely. The office staff and their inability to complete basic insurance paperwork is the reason for my poor review. Being an office which prescribes medication, they are aware of certain carriers requiring prior authorizations. When mine ran out and I called on November 21st, it wasnt until January when I was able to get my medication refilled. If you dont require medication then this office will suffice, otherwise look elsewhere would be my suggestion.

I’d agree with some of the other not-so-good reviews. One staffer here all but said outright she’d forget to pass on information I needed shared with my doctor’s assistant, another therapist went out of his way to share the intimate details of his troubled life rather than work to help me. I could go on, but it was clear that my medical improvement was not a too priority for this facility, and I’m sure I would not be alone in that assessment. This establishment may want to consider retooling. I’d be curious to see what kind of treatment I get moving forward for being candid about this facility’s issues but I’m transitioning elsewhere given the at-times blatant disregard for patient wellbeing.

I recently started seeing a therapist at this clinic, and he has helped me so much! I highly recommend this place to anyone who is going through a difficult time. The office staff was very friendly and helpful the few times that Ive spoken with them, but usually I just deal directly with my therapist. Unfortunately, there werent any openings to see someone who can prescribe medication (which seems to be the case everywhere), but they did give me referrals to other places. Very glad I came here!

After several months several phones calls and stopping in the office to try to resolve it I found it very frustrating. Even when they told me they would call me back they never did, always me following up. All I can say is their record keeping really needs to be revamped. Will not get into lot of detail but watch and get your statements regularly. Sad part is I tried to get to the bottom then they would just say ok those dates were covered then later here is same bill but other dates. I guess when you stop going they go back several months and say oh by the way here is more money you owe. Told in December I was all got up then in January I get 100 dollars bill then February 150 dollar and I was not even going. In June I get 125 dollar bill two appointments for August and September of 2017 you kidding me? Frustrating they just kept throwing different dates. Had 75 charge for not cancelling but I prove I did or said I tried to leave Gary a voice mail but it was full and after two or three times over a couple of days what are you suppose to do. Was going for anger management and this sure did not help. I am now seeing someone else and very happy with the results I am getting.

Dont expect anything and youll be happy!Staff is rude.I scheduled an appointment with them three months ago. It was important that I get in to see someone before the school year started, so they added me to the waitlist and told me Id have an appointment within three months. I heard nothing from them in the meantime and called back in. First they told me I was not on any list, then they found me and informed me it would be another three month wait. These people dont care about their patients, just filling spots to bill medicaid. If they did care they would have given a realistic time frame or followed up when it became clear that their original projection was incorrect. Now Im back in school and have no way to see anyone this semester. Im screwed--thanks guys!
