Ive been going here off and on since the mid 90s. I absolutely think the world of Robert Martian and Dr.Lemmon. However, the owner doesnt care about whats best for your mental health. She cares about her money and her bottom line, despite the doctors and therapists disagreeing with her in their professional capacity. She cant even be bothered to reply to personal correspondence, addressed to her, her own self. She has someone else do it for her. And without knowing the all the true facts on their end, she has no issues to deny someone treatment with a care team that theyre comfortable enough to be honest with. Thats *key* in mental health treatment. Its a shame because there are great therapists and doctors here, Ive recommended many people to this office over the years and will now be recommending them to go somewhere else. I say this for if this is how shes willing to treat someone who has been coming to her offices for over 2 decades? I cant see her having the compassion required to deal with people in dire need of Mental Health Services. I speak as not only a patient, but as somebody who works in the mental health field and was raised by a registered nurse who specialized in psychiatric treatment. Quite honestly that just is not a quality you can be lacking when it comes to treatment.

It seems to be human nature to dwell more on the negative rather than the positive. Plus, its been said that we relate negative experiences to an average of 7 people but positive experiences to only an average of 2 people (I have no idea whether these numbers are statistically valid). And because several of the Google Reviews here stand in sharp contrast to my experience with AACS, Ive decided to add one myself in the hopes of balancing the scales a bit.Over the past six or seven years, I have seen Jan Leland a few times (generally for just a few sessions) for what I call tune-ups. (As a person with a Masters degree in Counseling, I have long believed that almost everyone at some point in their lives will benefit from counseling, and Im quite open about the fact that Ive been smart enough to seek out this kind of support when I need it.)Jan is terrific in every way. She is caring, authentic, and deeply insightful. My guess is that Jan receives a high number of referrals from people who have worked with her, as word of mouth is by far the best testimony for quality of service. I know that since I first worked with Jan, Ive recommended her to lots of people. When telling people about Jan, I always sing her highest praises. She has quite literally changed my life.So if youre looking for a good therapist, call Jan. And lets all try to ramp up the number of times we share positive news or reviews! Goodness knows the world needs it.

I have tried to go to counseling before but I always left after completing a couple of sessions because I felt like I didnt know what direction I was going in or the counselor felt ingenuine. I just finished my Cognitive Behavioral Therapy counseling sessions with Jan Leland and I can see a massive improvement from the start to now. I feel like I can continue to apply the skills on my own now and Im in a better place now than I have been in years. She is very knowledgeable about the research surrounding the issues I was dealing with and she clearly has a lot of experience.I just read some bad reviews about the owners and about billing- I personally didnt interact with the owners and I didnt have an issue with my insurance using insurance I had through the University. I didnt really interact with the department so I cant speak to the employees there.

This place is absolutely about the money..better not miss a appointment you get billed and when you call to discuss your bill the billing lady tells you one thing and tells the therapist something else. This is a place that is supposed to help you..but its mostly about the money..dont miss a appointment or all hell breaks loose

Great therapists and doctors, not a good place to work. Owners have abusive tactics and are very shady. I could say a lot more...

I have first hand experience of the unethical and abusive treatment that therapist at AACS face. A review of their staff listings over the past decade or more will show the large turnaround for this clinic. Mental health problems in the form of threats, secret internal investigations & retaliatory punishments and terminations of staff by the owner(s) and their administrative minions are rampant at this clinic. Extremely unhealthy place to work.

They talk like professionals and act like cheap. All they do is listen to you and give no specifics or treatment plan. They will charge you a huge sum of money for critical evaluation when all they do is listen to what patient talks (they dont even ask question), at the end of which they never conclude what kind of complications the patient has got. Finally when you leave them to a different provider due to change of location, they will charge you for releasing the records. They are just leeches preying on your unfortunate situation. They dont provide care but are there to make money from you. Either listen or know it by urself.

For someone that does not have insurance, this place is not an option. It is unfortunate that certain mental health services are not affordable to individuals. I know that the insurance companies do not pay anywhere near what individuals would have to pay (without insurance).
