Moving to a new place introduces many stressful decisions, including who will style and cut your hair. Luckily, when I moved to the greater Ann Arbor area in January 2017, I found Amber Kessler. Amber is the best hair stylist I have ever had. She allows her clients to book appointments online months in advance, is always on time, never cancels, and delivers the same quality cut and styling every time. I cannot imagine having anyone else style and cut my hair.

Im so grateful to have discovered Amber! I was searching for non-toxic options for hair treatments, and Amber listened to my concerns and made an effort to use products I could tolerate. She does amazing work and is so incredibly talented and skilled. Ive been going here to get my hair done for about 2 years now - Im looking forward to many more years of organic, non-toxic, and beautiful hair treatments.

Amber styled my hair and makeup for my wedding and she did a beautiful job! She is joyful and very talented at what she does! I have sensitive skin and she was able to do my hair and makeup using good-for-you-skin products that are also photo-friendly. I would highly recommend her to brides and bridal parties, especially those who want to look beautiful while taking care of their skin! Amber is FANTASTIC!

Amber did my make up the day of my wedding along with my mom, sister and niece (7 years old) and she was such a pleasure to work with. Amber does an amazing job with my color. She patiently hunts for the grays that escape her foiling efforts and hand paints the strays all in an effort to make my color look as natural as possible. When she blows out my naturally wavy hair, I get a smooth and sophisticated style. I highly recommend her for her skills and talent.

I was with my previous hair stylist for 8 years and when I moved I was forced to change. I was nervous that I wouldnt find someone who did mens cuts well with salon quality. However, Amber put my nerves to bed with numerous good experiences and haircuts. I can happily recommend her to anyone looking for a high quality haircut.

Amber did the make-up for my bridal party (bride, 3 bridesmaids, 2 moms). She arrived early, was professional, and great to work with. The experience we all had was phenomenal from start to finish. Amber genuinely believes in helping you look your best without changing the way you actually look. The makeup is natural looking and feels light on your skin - the finished product has such a WOW factor and stayed on all night. Everyone looked great and received many compliments.

Amber is amazing with hair and makeup. She is sweet and kind and made me feel special as a bride. She wore a braid in her hair on the morning of, just to match the styles that the bridal party was getting, it was a very nice touch. I showed her pictures of the styles I wanted, and she made everything look amazing! Amber uses nice and gentle makeup products, which was great for mine and my sisters sensitive skin. Shes very detail oriented and quick to respond to make sure you are pleased as a customer. She was able to accommodate everyone getting their hair and makeup done, with no worry of running over the allotted time. She handled it all herself, and it seemed like she was in three places at once. She made me look like the best and most beautiful version of myself. She is an artist, and I only have good things to say about her!

This salon is amazing. The hair dye is all natural which my first thought was oh great, Im spending a lot of money on a product thats probably not going to work as well, but I was way wrong. The color stays longer than the awful, smelly stuff that left me feeling fatigued and itchy. Amber is knowledgeable, confident, friendly and professional. I only gave 4 stars because the price for cut, color AND highlights is pretty pricey but, on the bright side, you get what you pay for, which is a lot.

Amber does an amazing job and she is my go-to for a maintenance haircut or a new style. She is also very thoughtful in choosing the products she uses on her clients. She always uses the best natural, clean ingredients. Her studio is in a very calming space with lots of natural light, She is the best of the best.

Amber was amazing!! She managed to get all our hair (9 of us!) and make up (3) done with perfect timing all on her own. Her talent is incredible - my little nieces had Pinterest ideas w them and she did a great job taking their input haha. The airbrush makeup was perfect as well - I was concerned about not looking natural and even my now husband said she did an awesome job. Her prices are reasonable and since we were in Ann Arbor there were no travel fees, however she has a minimum of $400 (easy for us). Highly recommend her!
