I have always had a great experience with Dr. Cannick and her staff until today. I scheduled an appointment for a cleaning and evaluation of some teeth that are causing me extreme pain. Today I didn’t have a babysitter for my 5 year old so he had to attend my appointment. Upon arrival mine and my son’s temperature were taken and we were wearing masks. After we were seated in the waiting area I was called to the counter to be informed that I would be unable to be seen because I had to bring my child with me. My family not I will return. Not everyone has a babysitter, and my son put his mask on and didn’t touch it. So what is the difference between me being in the room when bringing my child for an appointment versus my son having to attend my appointment?

Dr Cannick’s team is courteous and well-prepared for each patient. Communication is excellent. Hygienists are trained on the most up-to-date dental technology available. The atmosphere is inviting using stress-free techniques to make each patient comfortable. Dr Cannick is outstanding. She sincerely cares for her patients and their health.

I fell in love with this place from the time I entered. I believe I have finally found a dental home for me and my two boys! Excellent vibe, and they asked me questions that Ive never been asked before! Questions that made me feel like they wanted to get to know me as individual as well as my dental concerns! I’ve been seeing Dr. Cannick for about four years, since I moved back to the area. I like her and her staff very much and I will continue to see them not just because it is so conveniently located to my home but because it is clean and I’m confident in Dr. Cannick. I think she’s pretty no nonsense and I like that about her. She has all the modern dentistry toys that would make anyone comfortable and it makes the experience smooth and effortless. Going to the dentist doesn’t bother me, in fact I look forward to it. I’ve always been very diligent in caring for my teeth and gums but she makes me try even harder so that each time I see her, my check up is a little better than before! I do that for my health, but secretly, I like her so much I don’t want to let her down, so that makes me a better patient! Dr. Cannick is very smart, I’ve enjoyed the health pieces she has written for the Electric City News as well as her own Newsletter. I admire her and I know that she does a lot for this community too. This is a business run by a Doctor that is a strong, caring and empathetic woman and her support staff of equal measure. I will gladly continue to support it! If you are in need of a dentist, this is a safe place to call home.

Dr. Cannick is equipped with the latest tools of the trade and delivers her care with a calming sweetness that truly lives up to her billing, Anxiety-Free. Tiqua, her assistant, could not be a more pleasant. Her knowledge and demeanor truly is comforting as the procedures are performed. Abby, the Dental Hygienist, is as thorough and gracious as my teeth have experienced and is a wonderful edition to the practice.

During this COVID-19 experience, her office is spotless with every precaution taken including face masks, face shields, gowns and HEPA/Ultraviolet air filter. I must say this was the best dental visit I have ever had. I am 40 years old so I have been seeing a dentist for years now and this office was AMAZING! From the moment I stepped into the office the front staff was so nice and friendly. The dental assistant and Dr. Cannick both were so friendly, made me feel relaxed, professional. The assistant explained everything she was doing. The doctor showed me my x-ray and explained in detail and gave wonder advice. I am extremely happy I changed to this office. As a child, I grew up absolutely loathing dentist visits. I never really understood much about dental care. It was always an expensive and painful process. As an adult, Ive had the best experiences at Grand Oaks Dental. Dr. Cannick is very professional yet personable. All procedures are always explained. All my questions are always answered. Billing processes are taken care of appropriately, promptly. Since Ive started going there, the staff has not changed and they have provided me with consistent, mindful care. I no longer fear my dental visits!

To say I am afraid of going to the dentist would be a major understatement. Grand Oaks entire staff are the sweetest, most compassionate dental professionals I have ever met, and I have definitely met quite a few. They treat you like family and genuinely care about making you feel comfortable at each visit. I highly recommend Dr. Cannick and her staff!!

My whole family loved the care that Dr Cannick puts into her practice and her patients but after recent front staff issues, we will no longer be giving them our business. The front desk does not match the compassion that you receive once in the dental chair. Please please please train the front desk personnel to treat your patients better or you will continue to lose loyal patients like us. So sad.

Neither my wife or myself have been to a dentist in the last 20 years, mainly due to an insane aversion to pain and fear.A couple of months ago my wife had finally got to a point where she had to have some major work done on her teeth and she settled on Grand Oaks dental in Anderson, SC.After her first appointment (just one of many) she came back bragging about how pain free the whole ordeal was and said that if she would have known it would be this easy she would have gone years ago. I was a bit skeptical of this boast and thought that maybe the Dr hypnotized while she was under the gas or that it might just be a ploy to get me to the dentist myself so I would feel as miserable as she does. She stuck to her story after several visits and I agreed to go.On my first visit my apprehension grew even more when Dr Cannick came in. She looked to be about 18 years old and fresh out of high school. My fears were quickly put to rest though after talking with her for a few minutes.She and her staff are very professional at all times. All of the procedures were fully explained ahead of time and all questions answered. She has surrounded herself with a crackerjack support team whom all seem to love their job.

OMG I am so thrilled to have found these people. They were very understanding of my wants and needs.Talk to me as if they really cared about all the work I need done,They gave me timelines of what to expect, the prices were reasonable. I am a big chicken but cant wait to have all the work done.I am very anxious.

DO NOT go to Grand Oaks Dental! They will RIP YOU OFF! They do not understand insurance billing. They will quote a price to get you to have work done and then tell you a week or two later that you owe hundreds of dollars more because your insurance did not cover services. They let me come in for a second visit and then told me I owed almost $500 aditional out of pocket! All i had done was an exam and some fillings. I have gone to other dentists since and did not owe an extra cent over what they told me. Some how they were able to figure out what my insurance would cover. Grand Oaks Dental is a master of the proverbial Bait and Switch. What a horrible way to do business. You have been warned!

I just havent had a good experience with them over the years. They close to early, so if you work full time and need an appointment late or early it never could happen. They charge you$75 if u miss your appointment. I had to cancel two of my appointments cause of work and now they tell me i have to call on a random day to come in and hope they have and opening for me and my daughter! How is that gone work if my work schedule are made 3 weeks ahead of time?? Plus my daughter had got sick. I just feel like they dont try and dont care to work with you if your a full time single parent. Plus I needed to find a new dentist away cause i have great teeth and i have had several appointments were i left with my mouth hurting or my jaws locking completely. -M.Walker

Dr. Cannick and her staff are awesome!!! I had an abscessed tooth that was extremely infected and she made sure it was extracted with ease. Not only did she check on me as a patient during the procedure, but she also made sure her assistant was okay periodically due to how long the procedure took. My entire family sees Dr. Cannick and she treats us all as if we were apart of her family.

Absolutely love Dr. Cannick and her staff!! Ive always been terrified of the dentist. I actually enjoy going to the dentist now. Dr. Cannick doesnt make you feel guilty for issues with your teeth and shes so personable! Her staff remembers me by name even when i run into them outside the dental office. Do not go here if you have a dental emergency. I had a bad problem with a tooth. Tried for a week to get a appointment finally got one. I missed it because of a car wreck. I called them and they could not see me until the next week.
