The building and machines are clean and well kept, and the staff are always welcoming, friendly, and professional!

Update #2: The staff is extremely responsive and have fixed the issue. This is a great customer service moment for them. Highly recommend. Keep up the great work!Update: I’ve upgraded a star because I appreciated the response from Planet Fitness. For a couple weeks since the review, the water was nice and hot. It’s tapered back down unfortunately so I’m not sure if something is wrong with the water system or if someone just adjusts the temps. But it isn’t getting hot again, just warm. It was mentioned to staff this morning so hopefully it gets fixed quickly.With that being said, great gym!! The water temps are my only complaint.Original review:My only issue is the showers. Their water is extremely inconsistent in temp and cool on average. It will spike occasionally then dip back down. I really wish they would fix their heating system.

Well first off the selection of beverages for purchase is a wide selection. The machines are amazing and the staff is very nice and caring. Had a great pump today definitely would go again 💪

Spacious facility and friendly, helpful staff. One instance of the staff being helpful: Kennedy (PF worker) aided me in encouraging a stubborn member to continue elsewhere with his workout, as he was occupying a machine for a lengthy bit of time, watching videos on his phone. Doing so allowed me to finish up my workout and continue on with my day. So thankful for helpful staff. I am aware that PF has no set time for machines, but in the world of working out, occupying equipment for too long is a faux pax - You do what you need with it and move on.

Wish Planet Fitness had a Sauna, but for the deal on membership its understandable why they do not.

Love this place. It’s. Very clean and they have good services. Customer service is always welcoming. This is my favorite gym I’ve been to, they have tanning, massage chair and massage water beds available and Ofcourse all of the gym functions you could use.

Very clean & tidy. Love that you have disinfectants to clean exercise equipment.

Place is nice and clean but they dont necessarily follow their own rules. They allow people to bang weight machines, several people only had masks half on, and a few people didnt even clean their machines after use. No one is watching people. But still had a nice workout

This is my favorite planet fitness. I like that the treadmill uses the Jog/Walk Button. The staff is friendly and informative. Awesomeness

This gym has everything you need from a beginner to even the advanced level gym goers! It is clean they make every effort to keep the gym clean which is great especially during this COVID-19 time. Plus its a good place for folks to gather socially obviously with social distancing but its good to be around other human beings and everyone working towards a healthy lifestyle. So far I have no complaints 😌 and Im hoping every experience matches the first one I had today. Like  Share

I dont understand why our planet fotness is still using thw covid hours. I pay to be able to go to thw gym at 3 am if i want to. I understand cleaning but they can do that when there arent a lot of people there. Just pay those poor workers a little more to do it.

Love planet fitness!! The tanning rooms could be cleaned a little more frequently but thats about it!

So here is my issue, i signed up to start using the gym because they have a trainer available. My first appointment was early in the morning, I get there and was told the trainer canceled all appointments because she was sick, i was annoyed that i never got called and found out coming into the gym. I then was told they would put me in at the end of the week and the trainer would call me to confirm a time, never got the call. ended up waiting another week and i called back, the staff swears they called me, yet i had no miss calls. I then ask to make another appointment , which there wasnt any available around my work availability for another week, i make the appointment, came in and was told by the front desk the trainer wants my appointment push out for another 20 or so minutes. i was upset and decided I wanted to cancel my membership and the staff now tells me there was a mix-up and my membership is now registered to another store and now i got to go to that store to cancel.

Love this gym employees are always nice and I can workout without stress. Most machines show you what you are working on and the hydro after a workout is heaven.

Ive been here as a guest. I went around 9-10pm and the staff at this location (NorthWay Mall) were very friendly. A Nice spot. Just not for me personally.

Great place to workout or just relax, love the no judgement zone, everyone in there just doing their thing and leaving you be. They are friendly though if you need help. Staff is very helpful in you achieving your goals. Best gym Ive ever been too.

Up until this morning, I loved this gym. I have been going 5 days a week for years. The staff was friendly, it was clean, they had all of the machines I like to use. This morning I went in, 3 days after the mayor issued Emergency Order EO-13, mandating the use of cloth face coverings or masks in Anchorage, and it was the first time anyone asked me if I had a mask. I informed the 3 employees behind the desk that I have asthma and I cannot breathe through the mask. They refused me service unless I could produce a doctors note stating that I have asthma. The mandate specifically exempts me from needing to wear a mask and prohibits a business from penalizing me for it. It also specifically states that they cannot require me to provide documentation of my medical condition. Yet I was refused service and asked for said documentation. Thanks so much for making my struggle to get healthy even harder.

I really appreciate the staff at northway mall planet fitness. Most of the p f gyms I have visited are AWESOME.

Ive been coming here for years on and off, its typically busy but I tend to work around the peak hours. Could use some improvements on better air flow though, wish the free weights area was a bit bigger, that area is usually always full. lots of room to run around, kind of like a grownups version of a play ground. Friendly staff and similar/casual everyday faces of strangers and friends.

Beware!! Loved the gym but if you cancel your membership they will keep on charging you and not repay what they took from your account when you become aware of continued charges months later.. Cancel with them on email then cancel with your bank immediately. My bank said that they do this all of the time. I will never do business with people who steal from me again.

Do not go here if you actually lift. There are no barbells. Also the only way to cancel is by wasting time showing up in person or sending a certified mail cancelation.

Would of gave 5 stars but the janitors are very rude. 1 of the times my husband & I were in the showers & 1 of the male janitors came into the female locker area with the female janitor, who knew I was in the shower. Another time my husband was in the shower & the male janitor turned off the hot water then 1 other time my husband was getting dressed & the male janitor just opened the curtain on him. When staff was told they acted like oh well. My husband was mad and said what if it was you/your wife in there? They just looked at him like so. We are no longer members.

Charging us direct from our bank rather than charging thru our Credit card which is more convenience to usThat system will create short cash in our part and we will be charge $28 dollars for being short!!!

Staff is pretty nice and the gym is pretty clean. It’s usually never too busy. The only weird thing is the location but other than that I would recommend this gym! They recently changed the lights so it’s not dark in there anymore.

I really like the whole concept of the gym. (No gymtimidation) I also think the staff is pretty friendly. There a lot of great machines to use. My only drawback is that...even tho they have it posted, and we were told during our tour of the gym, many people dont clean the machines after working out, and they will sit on a machine and play with their phone! I guess I wish that was monitored a little more closely, and reinforced. :)

Auedeaneflora is one of the best staff members Planet Fitness has.....she is hardworking, very social, and very nice. Yall need to give her a raise because of her awesomeness! Keep it up!

Only problem is that the machines are always take up, but usually I come in early so its not a problem. To sum it up- the place is a good gym to get a pump, but you know what they say. Its not a gym, its Planet Fitness. 😏

You can totally exercise whilst indoors at this location.

I use this gym on an almost daily basis. The staff are always friendly and attentive. The facility I always clean and there is enough equipment that there is hardly ever a wait to use something.

This particular gym location feels really dark inside so I didn’t really like that (hence the 3 stars). I probably won’t go to this location again because that part just really bothered me. But the rest of it was good!!

This gym has been an excellent place to workout. Ive never had a problem finding a treadmill even at its busiest hours. The staff are helpful, and the facility is well maintained. My only recommendation is that the stretching area should be clear of any machines or stands.

Staff is not as friendly and energetic as northern lights and dimomd locations anyone. Gym seems like it needs and update. Total body enhancement isnt available at this location and the black card (spa) area feels meh.

My second home. I love it here. Samantha is the best. Environment is friendly. Never feel judged here. Come on down and check it out.

Whats up with the 24 hour rule for tanning? I was in yesterday and tanned at 1000 and today I tried to tan at 0900 and they would not let me. If Im paying for the membership I should be able to choose when I tan if its included in the fee I pay. I am not even sure what the benefit would be to tan at 24 hrs vs. 23?

Very polite and friendly staff. They also are very helpful to gym newcomers, explaining how to use the equipment and setting up a workout routine. The gym is also clean and well maintained by the staff.

You can tell how good a place is by how they handle their mistakes.I was a member of this gym for years. Then I moved and had to transfer my membership to a different PF. The new gym couldnt figure out how to transfer me over. I spent over an hour with the poor desk girl at my new gym and she was never able to make it work. When I called back my home club in northway I got Adonna on the phone and she had me sorted out in like... 2 minutes. Great club with great people, Im sorry to leave it.

I dig this PF. Staff is always friendly and the facility is clean. Would give it 5 stars, but for the fact that there isnt a free weight squat rack. Im sure its an insurance issue.

I wanted to like this place it seem to have all i needed in the way of fitness machines . good review on the new but .when i went to take a tour at the time i was going to use the gym. I asked for a tour. the young lady there was enthused until i started to ask questions. She first explained the cheap plan for monthly membership . She quickly went thru how the no contract plan work skimming over the big detail that they needed my checking account info so they could Auto deduct from it. hummmm RED FLAG! I said i was uncomfortable with that may i pay with a credit card ! for 190 + dollars , even with the yearly maintenance fee it did not add up. 120+38 =158 ( my relocation of the numbers might be slightly off but not by much). I asked about the difference and thats when it started to go south . She said with a strait face , you are paying for a year in advance so thats way it costs more ! HUH? I MENTIONED I WOULD BE PAYING THEM FOR A FULL YEAR , THAT MEAN THEY HAVE MY MONEY AND IT COSTS ME MORE ? She gave me the look stupid look . I then had to ask her to explain the other more expensive plans thats what i really wanted any way)S he then went on to explain the befits of each on a very scripted sales pitch worthy of a time share salesperson. ( i like a good sale pitch) .Planet fitness will only take your money for the other plans via yous checking account. RED FLAG AGAIN . I mentioned I was willing to pay a year up . They do not allow you to pay for a year at a time. no cash no credit card nada zip zero .This made me highly suspicious and I told them so . Somewhere in the back of my mind i recalled s scam of fitness places over charging ., not cancelling and committing fraud . I am not saying that this franchise does that but I went home and got on the net.Googling Planet fitness problems with checking accounts. WHOAONE ONE SITE ALONE THERE WAS OVER 700 HUNDRED PEOPLE PISSED OFF TO WRITE ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCES WITH THEM.So make your mind up about them and your bank account .I did

Go here if youre into meth heads in the parking lots and roaming the floor of the gym completely unchecked by staff. If youre into having your belongings stolen out of a locked locker and your car stolen out of the parking lot, sign up at this location!They dont even have basic workout equipment, like a chest fly machine. Yes, they have a lot of equipment, but nothing that is actually useful. The trainers are clueless and simple questions are met with sarcasm filled responses such as Did you google it?I went to the S. Anchorage location for YEARS without incident, but from day one at the Northway location there was nothing but sarcasm and condescension from staff (after they finished chomping on a double cheeseburger,) druggies running wild, and some seriously inconsiderate guests. The place was constantly overran with degenerates who were obviously not there to work out, they were there to get and stay warm and steal from the locker rooms.If you enjoy druggies stealing your locked belongings while staff is busy eating and chatting instead of watching who actually comes in and out, then by all means, go to PF Northway.If you value your belongings and actually want to work out without wondering Which crack head is going to try to break into my locker today? Go almost anywhere else.

Theres nothing not to like about our gym. The equipment is nice, clean, thoughtfully laid out, and totally adequate for anyone pursuing an intermediate fitness goal. Not enough for someone trying to become Mr. Olympia or anything super advanced but plenty for a person to get and stay in good shape. The price is sooo right that it amazes me they can stay open. The only reason I gave 3 instead of 5 stars is that sometimes the staff are mean and rude. I try to steer clear of them as much as possible but thats impossible ALL the time and sometimes ya catch em in bad moods and theyre short and snippy with you. Other than the sporadicly rude, disrespectful staff, I have nothing but glowing praise for the place. And now Im worried theyll get me for saying this stuff. But its true... Sadly..

I plan on getting the lovely ladies name who was on shift Sunday Morning March 11th, she deserves a raise!! She has amazing customer service!! I havent ran in about 8 months or so, and decided to go, once I stopped running I didnt feel so good and puked, embarrassing, my boyfriend was with me and helped me, clean up the mess, and the lady offered a water and asked if there was anything else she could do, she then comes out with a mop after we cleaned it a little. I wanted to pay for the water bottle, nd thanked her, she said its okay dont worry about it, but I insisted because she was such a sweetheart to offer it in the first place, never complained about it or even about me. She was obviously well liked in the location because of regulars that came in afterwards, she has so much potential and so thankful she was there during my mishap. I couldnt be anymore thankful. Same as to the gentleman during that shift as well, I will say he treated us very nice! Such a welcoming place, this will forever be my location, until I move out of state❤

Poor customer service I asked for help and one of the employee told me she cant do anything about it , I asked only for a month Im moving down to Cali and I have my own studio there with my workout machines I just want to workout only for what 2 weeks with them and she said its $99 what the hell? For 2 weeks its close to end of the freaking month and they charged me so much thats why I Alaska club . Smh!!! No bueno I wouldnt recommend this for a friend or family
