OTC was recommended to me by a couple friends. One of the best choices I made. The staff are friendly and remember faces and names. The coaches are involved and interested in our progress. They make the classes fun and highly energetic. I attend mostly Elana’s classes (love her) and she is fantastic, but I have been lucky enough to attend Brenton’s and Nafisa’s classes and know they are very engaging, so no matter who we work out with it’s going to be worth every sweaty minute with a great team.

I absolutely love the motivation and the energy its amazing and it gets me going. I work 3 jobs a fulltime student and a mother of 4Im all over the place . All for the right reasons heheAnyway I enjoy your 515am workouts because its energetic and when the music is ON IT I feel inspired... its gets my blood pumping .

This is a great gym that I use as a supplement to my other training and as a couple activity with my partner. Its nice to come into a class and not have to think about the programming and pace. Its done in a fun and efficient manner. Orange Theory has become a bit of a Sunday morning ritual for us.

I am new to Orangetheory - I absolutely love the structure and feedback of the workout! The front desk staff is very friendly and supportive and the environment is one that brings about a sense of accountability, playfulness, friendship, motivation, and challenges. With that being said, a few areas in need of improvement are the amenities, attention to detail, and space. With the price point of $159/mo for unlimited access, I would expect the highest standards of staff and services. For example, towel service is something I would expect from a high-end facility such as this, but it is not provided - neither for showers nor for sweat towels for the workout. Behind the front desk is also very cluttered and disorganized - it was actually the first thing I noticed when I walked into the studio. Also when I showered after the first class of the morning the dispensers were completely empty of the shampoo and body wash - a lack of attention to detail is something I dont want to have to remind a facility of. There are only two showers - shared with men and women and no lounge or locker room areas - seems to make for a hectic morning of rush, wait, and hope that people are finished so you can make it to work on time. Nothing about the post-workout phase of showers and getting changed feels relaxing or comfortable, its just not enough space. However, after all of this, I still feel like the workout is worth it! Im still contemplating an unlimited membership, but I will definitely be coming back for what the workout offers. Class schedule time-frames are a big plus!

First of all, whenever I walk into our Orange Theory in Anchorage, AK, I never feel judged and everyone is friendly. I love the Personal Trainers and their awesome positive attitudes! They are always watching and helping us. The different challenges keep it interesting. I just love it! I am so glad my husband dragged me there for a free class! Im getting stronger every class! :D

Great programming and coaching. Friendly staff. Clean and organized facilities. They will make you work - so be ready to sweat! Energetic circuit style group workouts with heart rate monitors (BPM on a big screen for each participant). The group atmosphere encourages you to really push yourself. Be ready to sweat!

Working out is not my top priority. I would have figured out how to quit any other gym by now. This isn’t a gym, this is a fitness facility that cares, creates fun, energy, and competition. Brenton and Vanessa in Anchorage are great, they create a sense of urgency to come back. Even taking a day off makes you wonder what you missed the day before. It isn’t about hating the workout for me anymore, it is about having fun with the people that make the difference.

I can’t say enough about the staff. They have been endlessly helpful and kind.I also love the workouts. One hour of intensity.My problem is they essentially have one product. In a regular gym if you hurt a knee there are lots of things you can still do. With orange theory you are done until your healed.On top of that they charge to suspend a membership while you heal and there cancellation policy is terrible. Not that most gyms don’t do something similar but it certainly doesn’t engender loyalty when you k seek all they want to do is wring the last dime they can out of you. Thirty day notice to cancel - meaning you have to pay for two months if you cancel two days into a month.In short i might stick around and pay by the workout and join another gym for most of my workouts but I won’t be put on the hook with orange theory again. They have one product and any injury that prevents one body part from working out prevents you from working out entirely but they are fine with charging for it.

Its an hour long, but feels quick. Its something I can do. I love someone telling me what to do and for how long. I also love the stretching at the end. I dont stretch enough in life so getting it in there is AWESOME! I also love being able to see my heart rate on the screen and know when I need to push harder.

I love orange theory! The workouts constantly challenge me and I love the supportive energy I experience when Im working up a sweat. I would highly recommend this place to anyone whos looking for a good workout or wanting to try something new. They offer so many classes per day its easy to make it part of your daily routine.

Great staff and awesome workouts but that doesnt matter if you can never get into a class! Their classes are ALWAYS FULL! You literally have to book a class two to three weeks in advance to get a spot at a decent time. Super frustrating. I wish they would add more classes.

This workout has definitely improved my cardiovascular fitness. Im in my mid forties and I needed something to get my heart pumping to stay healthy and keep my metabolism going. I like striving to get into the Orange Zone and get my splat points! That way I know I gave forth decent effort in each session. I like that the amount of effort you make is visual and measurable for the whole class.

I am very impressed with Orange Theory, I have been working out for several years at a couple different gyms, but I have never felt so engaged and challenged in a fun and supportive environment! Without a doubt this is the best workout experience I have ever had!

Orangetheory is a place where friendships develop, not only with other participants but with our instructors. Not to mention the focused and varied workouts that kick butt!! ( in a good way).If you have orthopedic issues like I do there are always safe alternatives offered that still allow you to get the most out of your workout.Orangetheory clubs around the US allow for continued exercise even while traveling so there really is no excuse not to join the Orangetheory family!!

I like that I dont have to think about my workout. I just show up and participate. Vocal encouragement from the coaches motivate me. Instant gratification showing my calorie burn and splat points reminds me that it was an hour well spent.

It’s a great high intensity workout. No workout is the same so you never get bored. There’s always a way to push yourself harder. If you have any orthopedic issues there’s always an alternative. The coaches and classmates are great support and encouragement! Best workout I’ve done since I was a collegiate athlete!

I was visiting Anchorage for work and my friend convinced me to try Orange Theory a while back. Needless to say, I wasnt disappointed. Between the staff at the front and the coach, it was an exceptional experience. Would recommend to anyone considering.

I love that Im constantly be pushed to work harder and always have guidance when it comes to lifting weights, sometimes my form isnt right and our coachs always help to ensure we do our workouts right to get the best results. It reminds me a lot of conditioning training when I was younger and I love it! Everyone within the staff at OT always greets you with a smile and its overall a really happy uplifting place to be. Thank you Orangetheory for making me WANT to workout again!

Ive never been able to stick to a work out consistently or at all. I would get to the gym and remain clueless. These instructed one hour work outs with high accountability help me push myself to MY limits based on my own heart rate monitored on the leaderboard. Id give this new locally ran business a try because the first class is free and theres no year long contract to buy out if you decide its not for you.

OTF has great coaches (I’m looking at you, Jen, Brenton, & Carlin!!) and the workouts are effective, efficient, and fun! About two months ago, I walked into OFT in the worst shape of my life, and I’m now on my way to getting my fitness back! Plus, I’ve never felt any judgement from any of the staff or other clients. I love the welcoming environment.

I started the OTF journey about two years ago now. I stared with a lower package membership but pretty quickly realized, I loved this place and upped it to the unlimited membership.Those of you, like me, that need that push with a guided workout, this is your place! This is a heart rate based workout and you watch your progress on the monitors, so you can’t cheat yourself from a good workout because it’s up there on the screen, making you accountable! It’s a 5 zone heart rate workout and the idea is to get at least 12 or more splat points in the orange zone to keep burning calories for at least 12 hours after your workout is complete.You will workout on treadmills, rowers and in the weight room. You have a coach guiding your workout with the class the entire time. The workouts change daily so you won’t get bored with the same routine. It’s an intense hour and when you’ve completed your workout you will be emailed a progress report and can see the final splat count, calorie burn and average heart rate on the monitors.The coaches are upbeat, encouraging and hold you accountable! In all the years I’ve been working out, I have never been more consistent in my life than I have with this studio. I highly recommend Orangetheory Fitness South Anchorage.With every upside there may be downsides and the one here is that you must schedule your workouts and if you need to cancel you need to do so 8 hours before your scheduled class or you may be charged a cancel fee. They do understand emergencies and work with you on those. They recently changed the class schedules to try to accommodate more classes due to demand, can’t say I like the changes for the evening schedules, makes it very tough for me to attend class during the work week now. I’m hoping they are able to secure a 2nd location to alleviate the over crowded classes with long wait lists.The other downside for some, may be the cost. They have several packages available and after being here 2 years, it’s worth every penny to me, I’m consistent for the 1st time in my life.Over all, this place ROCKS and is a solid 5 star.

The coaches and staff at Orange Theory Fitness-Anchorage are absolutely wonderful. Here is my story of my OTF experience.At age 53, I had decided that enough was enough. I was overweight, back hurting all the time and just feeling “yucky”. I signed up for OTF-Anchorage in September 2017.It wasn’t too difficult to get motivated with the encouragement of the OTF coaches and within the first few months, I started losing weight and feeling healthier. Then the total unexpected happened. On 1/7/18, I suffered a heart attack. The next day from my bed in cardiac ICU, I called OTF to tell them that I had to cancel my membership for 6 weeks until I got clearance from my cardiologist to continue. Within 5 minutes, Coach Vanessa called to check on me and relayed that it there was anything that the OTF family can do to let her know. That phone call meant so much to me.When I returned, I couldn’t of felt more at home. The first couple of weeks, I noticed that the coaches and staff were a bit more attentive with making sure of how I was feeling. In other words, they were watching me like a hawk to make sure that I was okay and not pushing myself too hard. This always made me smile.In April 2018, I had my stress/treadmill test with my cardiologist. The testing results indicated that I have the heart strength and capacity of a much younger athlete. My cardiologist credited that because I started OTF and was very active with my exercising that the damage to my heart was minimum. The funny thing is that the stress/treadmill test was just a basic push/all-out that I did every session at OTF.With all that being said, I believe that joining OTF was one of the smartest and healthiest things that I ever did in my life. I believe in my soul that had I not joined and attended these sessions that the damage to my heart would have been much more significant.On the year anniversary of my heart attack (1/7/19) was the mile challenge that I completed in 10:31. It was amazing to think where I was a year ago.Feeling healthier and stronger everyday. I credit this to the OTF program; however, it is the OTF-Anchorage coaches and staff being positive, supportive and motivating that makes all the difference. I am totally grateful and blessed to be part of their family.

Ive never made it in. They have the most harassing and disorganized marketing tactics. They called about 15 times until I made an appointment then called minutes later to see if I wanted an appointment. They kept emailing until I wrote back and then they never responded. I finally asked them a number of times to leave me alone. Theyve called, texted, emailed, and left messages about 40 times in total.
