I had an appointment scheduled on Friday and she forgot to put me down. I showed and waited and finally just left cause lack of communication. The next day she sent me a text apologizing and rescheduled me for Monday at 1045. Showed up and she was not there again!!! Waited thinking she maybe was finishing another client and no communication! Very unprofessional!!! She is very good at what she does but needs to work on her communication and scheduling! Im leaving tomorrow and needed this appointment and now I cant get in anywhere else!

Wife got me a gift card. Called them to make an appointment and the lady that answered was extremely condescending (Two years ago). Finally decided to use the gift card and they don’t answer the phone. Just wanted to know if the $300 card is good and how to schedule what I want. But no is there to answer. That is why my wife burned $300 on this place.

Opel us the best out there people, there is no other. She cares so much about her work and clients, you leave feeling appreciated and loved. Prices are low and reasonable, feels like you get more then what you paid for. Very clean, more so then other places Ive been too. Definitely go, its a must.

I checked back in since it’s been months of no response from the number that had been provided to me. When I booked the appointment she answered, and after my wax I never got a response. The ingrown hair opel has tried to take out for me, has completely became more than a hassle. I have even had to see a dermatologist. She told me she was going to try and get this ingrown out with a lancet, something I knew nothing about but didn’t mind being it is her profession. Every tech I’ve spoken to has told me they aren’t even allowed to break the skin. Now I am not sure of that but what I am sure of is how much worse it’s got since she tried to take it out. What had been small turned huge, the most painful extraction and has caused me nothing but issues. This morning I took a look and it’s now a purple scar look. I spent good money in this shop to be ignored by a tech who promised nothing but “Nordstrom like” services. Highly disappointed in who recommended me. And highly disappointed in the trust I put into someone with something so intimate. I’m now not only wasting money for doctor visits, but now I hate my bikini line. If at all possible an updated number would be great. As I have contacted the number provided more than once.

Opel is TOP NOTCH! She friendly and offered excellent skin care advise and sample moisturizer, did an AWESOME brow wax and even offered to tint my brows free because of the wait. Will DEFINITELY be seeing her again next month when Im back in town!!!

I have waited about a month before I decided to post a review. In the years that I have started waxing, this place alone has never made me want to wax again. I came to opal due to a friend who swore by her. Being my tech was not in business I figured someone with high prices must do a great job. When coming to her spa, I loved the environment and her personality. She made me feel super comfortable. When I got undressed and ready to wax I noticed she had used different waxes then I had used in the past, no big deal not everyone’s the same right? Well I inform her of an ingrown I had from the last lady and she said she would get it out, and sounded confident so I was okay with it. She then goes to start waxing(BRAZILIAN), the wax was no where near as warm as it should have been, as the pulling of my hairs were very uncomfortable. Every strip she pulled was outrageously painful. I mean my belly was sweating along with my hands from being so nerve wrecked by it. I tried my best to just go with the flow as maybe she was sugaring? I don’t really know. I never like telling people how to do their profession. By the end of the wax she starts to dig out an ingrown but instead just “drains it”. I ended up paying over 100 bucks for a Brazilian. She told me it was because she allows you to make appointments if she missed any, or had any other ingrowns from her. THREE DAYS LATER my pubic area is sore to touch, I mean never have I ever experienced that from a wax. When feeling around I noticed she missed a lot of hair, and being she said she would fix anything and squeeze me in I shoot a text. We are going into month two and never have I gotten a response. I now have the same ingrown hair plus three more that I’m sure have became infected or worse. I never will come to this spa. Overly priced. & I’m not at all okay with what my results were.

Jackie gave me my first lash lift and tint and it was amazing! She was talkative and entertaining as well as professional. I was happier than I thought I would be with the service and she was very knowledgeable about her craft. Stephanie gave my 12 year old a complete transformation. We all remember how it felt rolling back into middle school with a new look and my daughter cannot wait to go show off! She also has a scalp issue and Stephanie was compassionate as well as thorough in helping to care for it. She pointed us in the way of some good products and had a lot of good advice. Really great salon experience!

I came here to get my hair extensions fixed. My first time showing up to my appointment, the hair dresser never showed up being its her first day to work. I waited for an hour for the owner to do my hair to accommodate my time. She removed my hair extension and said didnt have time to fix it so come back the next day. I came back and she said her license is limited to doing hair and I paid $90 to remove it the day before. Im never coming back to this salon. The receptionist tried to bribe me with free hair brush and something else that came in a small goody bag her boss prepared for me. I didnt accept it. I should have made this review a long time ago. It all happened back in 2018. If her license is limited, then why touch my hair in the first place??

So Ive been coming here for about two years for facials, waxing, and massages. Since COVID19 hit its just been the owner opal running the place. She amazed me for sure especially being 8 months pregnant. Gave me the best body treatment that Ive been needing being pregnant. If you can please go here for all of your essential beauty needs. This place never disappoints and everyone keeps everything so light, friendly and comfortable.

I called to set up a facial, haircut, and eyebrow appointment in the weeks leading up to out engagement photo shoot. I had planned it out so that I could go directly from the salon, with my freshly cut and styled hair, to the photo shoot. My eyebrows turned out great (thank you, Mandi!) but I was very disappointed that the salon waited to call me until one hour before my haircut was scheduled to let me know that my appointment was cancelled. I then had to scramble (while at work) to find anyone who would take me so last minute. Luckily, Salon Ivy is better versed in customer service and fit me in right away. **I would have given The Skin Bar a much lower rating if it werent for my excellent experience with Mandi.** She deserves a full 5-star review for going above and beyond, making sure I was comfortable and felt good about the brow plan every step of the way. Like many people who wish to have beautiful bold brows these days, Im trying to grow them in and am very protective/wary of people who dont listen to what you want and end up severely over-waxing your brows. Mandi listens! She gets it and I am very grateful for her... but unfortunately I cant say the same for the rest of the salon.

The whole environment is welcoming and comfortable. I received a 60 min custom facial from Anna and my goodness! She did a skin care consultation, gave me the run down on what I was doing right and wrong and then gave me the most relaxing facial of my life. I’ve walked away from other facials before feeling oily and greasy but not this time, my face felt soft and nourished and I felt so very very relaxed. Anna used a natural skin care line and gave me suggestions for products which I bought but they weren’t pushed on me. Definitely recommend!!

I asked for something nice and showed pics. All I got was orange hair. No one ever apologized to me. They covered my charges which was nice. Staff was nice but I was very upset. I cried after I saw my hair. I got it fixed at a different salon and received the desired results. All i wanted was some sincere apology that I never received. I got an interview there a year ago and thought Id check it out. Anyways wont return.

I emailed for my daughters 13th Birthday surprise. I needed her hair done up, nails (fingers & toes) and her makeup done to make her feel special for her big day. They wrote back and said we can do it all! Then we arrived and I swear all of the people that work there are amazing! Super friendly and caring! They did an amazing job from check in to check out! All of the services they provided were top notch. They even lit a candle on a cupcake and sang happy birthday for her with birthday flowers and these awesome four leaf clovers! I’m not kidding this place is amazing!! I recommend this place to anyone and everyone. It’s a nice clean place with affordable with great service all around! They also provide a military discount. I think if you’re looking for a one stop shop for girlie services, this is the place! Don’t look any where else! You’ve found a great place I promise you!

Amazing Staff. Very friendly. Had my first bikini wax done and Robyn was very kind and efficient. Last weekend she did my makeup and hair as well. A+ on everything. I also would like to thank Michaela for doing my nails - still look great even after being a week old, and going out quite a few times. And thank you to Maddie who did my shampoo/blowout and curled my hair! It all looked fantastic, and I definitely suggest going here. Everyone was super friendly no matter what the service. The only flaw I’ve run into is the pricing - everything is so expensive, unless you’re lucky and run into their monthly specials. Just waiting on that massage special. ;)I would rate 4.5 stars if I could.

This is the #1 place to come to get anything done!! Its a very clean, professional environment filled with a great atmosphere!! Everyone is super kind and able to provide you with any information you might need. The actual rooms are comfortable and well-lit, and everything is executed in the most professional manner. They dont double dip in their wax!! Their prices are amazing and they always have some kind of sale or promo item going on. If you need anything done, from a wax to a facial, they have you covered 100%!!

I got a massage from The Skin Bar and as it was my first one I was excited and nervous. My words arent enough to describe how amazing it was. The boutique itself is clean, accommodating, and welcoming. Opel (the owner) is so nice and loving, it reflects in the business itself. I ended up leaving feeling relaxed, and cared for. I have gotten a haircut and a massage there and I loved them both. I had never walked out of a salon happy with my hair before, Im just too picky, but I loved my hair when I left the Skin Bar. The haircuts are pretty pricey, but definitely worth it in my book. The massage was wonderful and oddly enough, Id say a pretty good price compared to the haircuts. Recommend 100%!

I’ve been debating leaving this review but i feel the need to because of how bad my wax experience was here. The woman that did it was super sweet but WAY TOO aggressive with the wax around my bikini area. After the wax, my skin was extremely tender and burned so bad to the touch which I have NEVER experienced in a wax before. She encouraged me to buy a product for ingrowns and when I went to use it, it completely burned my skin and aggravated my skin terribly. A couple days after my wax, my skin scabbed up and looked like a butcher job.. which again HAS NEVER happened to me.

Opel is amazing - I wont let anyone else touch my eyebrows. She makes more personal waxes easy, comfortable, and fast. I cannot recommend the skin bar enough.

I walked in without an appointment, and was seen within minutes! I was made very comfortable by the ladies that I saw for a wax. The ladies at the front desk gave me free samples and were very friendly. I will probably return in the future, and I highly recommend their service!

I had such a great eye brow wax a this company. They really know what they are doing, They helped each other and over all was just great! I even got my brows tinted which I never thought of doing but I did and they look amazing. I will def be going back.

I love this place BUT a negative that I must address is that appointment times should be set in stone. For example, if my appointment is at noon, I would like to be seen at noon give or take 5-10 mins max. But today’s visit, I had to wait approximately 35 mins beyond my appointment time. I am very busy and have things to do. I hope that’s something the Skin Bar should work on.

About a month ago I went to Opal for a brazillian wax. Ive had them before, and comparably she was amazing. I liked how quick and (reletively) painless it was. I will definitely be going back, soon. I also love the online booking! So convenient!

I scheduled an appointment with this business twice. Both times, they called me 1-2 hours before my appointment and cancelled. Its inconsiderate when you shift around your busy schedule for an appointment, and its cancelled at the last minute. I give this place a -5 stars for professionalism. I wasnt offered anything for the inconvenience. I still havent been seen at this establishment and now I dont want to. I dont care how great the service is, I am not going to wait for weeks just so they can cancel my appointment and make me wait again.

I will probably never get over what this place has done to me. Good bye to bathing suits or short shorts. Hell good bye to even being comfortable at home. Permanently scarred from Opels wax. I have called continuously during business hours and never get an answer. No I do not leave voicemails, because I call enough to in hopes get an answer. I want answers as to why after she waxed me I ended up with the results I did. Now only was I out of money for a real painful Brazilian (which I tipped great for simply because her personality was amazing, have my receipt still) but now countless dermatologist bills trying to fix what issue she has made for me. Never a response on here it seems like. To anyone dissatisfied with her work, truly unhappy and I wont ever wax again.
