Misdiagnosed a broken ankle as a sprain in 2009, had to seek out new provider due to persistent pain and weakness a year after. Ended up having multiple surgeries to fix non-healing cartilage over a period of 4 years. Still live with pain and weakness to this day. This doctor is a joke. Don’t go here for injuries.

I am very sad and disappointed with this medical facility. I am an individual who is on disability. Unfortunately, due to our wonderful Congress, I have to be on disability for 2 years before being eligible for Medicare!!! I was approved the first time I applied with NO attorney and in 66 days. I definitely need Medicare. I’m shocked and I am in despair that this office would charge a self-pay, disabled person $250.00 to be seen for 6 minutes. He looked at the X-rays that I brought and didn’t even look at my foot. It’s so hard for me to understand why a person who is a self pay and disabled to be given a little more consideration!

All they care about is saving workmans comp insurance money.

Dr. Parker has replaced both of my hips in the last 8 months, the last one back in June. I am already back to riding my motorcycle, hiking, and just about any and everything I want to do. He and his staff have always been prompt, courteous, and helpful in anyway I needed. They have always been wiling to take whatever time necessary to treat me and answer any questions I might have. I highly recommend him, his staff and his clinic.

I have been a patient of Dr Parker’s for several surgeries, all very successful. My go to PA who has always taken care of me and my husband has been Carlos Flores. Carlos is top notch in his field, very knowledgeable and caring, highly recommend him. He is very detailed in his explanations to you. The entire office staff is great.

All about money. Got into a motorcycle wreck missing work no paycheck waiting for my disability check through my employer refused to see me because I didnt have a 35 dollar co pay today. They are all about $$$$

Didn’t get to see the doctor. The PA decided to chit chat in the hallway the entire time. Got there at 9:15 and had to leave the appointment At 11:30 because it was taking so long and the PA acted like the issues weren’t enough suffering for him to care about. Learned more about the weather from his conversations in the hallway than we did about the problems. Would not recommend.

Had 2 shoulder surgeries prior but nothing like this. They were all very knowledgeable and kind. It has been a few years and still no blowout. I see a lot of comments saying they are rude. I disagree and add they are extremely direct and to the point. Exactly what I look for in a Dr. Great experience and better doctor.

My husband has seen Dr. Parker and Carlos for a couple of injuries. Thankfully they have kept him from having to have surgery...so far! The staff from the check-in girls to the clinical staff to the check-out girls were great. I also referred my father-in-law to Dr. Parker for his shoulder. He ended up being referred out and that resulted in neck surgery. However, we are very grateful to Dr. Parker for doing the work-up and making a personal phone call to get him in quickly with the spine specialist. Great providers and great staff all the way around.

I took my four-year-old in after he broke his tibia. Everyone was kind and helpful. The nurse, I believe her name is Monica, was fantastic. My son has a large vocabulary, and gets along well with adults, and she kept up conversation with him while casting him. She directed questions to him, and treated him just like a big boy. The x-ray tech was sweet and patient, and the ladies at the front desk were sweet. Ryan, the doctor who helped us, explained things thoroughly and let me know just what had happened during the break

Dr. Parker and his staff are top notch! Several of my family members have been treated by Dr. Parker and his physician assistants and were very pleased. They were back to doing the things they love in no time-without pain!

Carlos really helped me out with my heel pain! He injected both of my heels and with such expertise before I even realized he was injecting them, he was finished. No pain! This was on a Friday afternoon and by the end of the weekend my heels were pain-free! Highly-recommend Carlos, Dr. Parker, and the rest of the staff at Dr. Parker’s office!!

James R. Parker did really great job on my shoulder and knee. No problems and I recommend everyone to go see Parker. Best in town!

Doctor and staff are rude as heck here. I got a consult and felt that the doctor has a big ego. If you cannot put aside your own personal conflicts that lie deep within what good are you to your patients? I got vague information, the staff was super rude and incompetent, and I left feeling worse than when I came in.

Both knees and left hip replaced over past decade by Dr. Parker. Fantastic surgeon; great staff and we treat pain; not x-rays! Could not be more pleased with entire experience and Physicians Surgical is a great hospital!

We were referred by the school. Today will have been the third time we have visited Dr. Parkers office. DR. Parker is wonderful but his office staff is anything but friendly. The wait time is ridiculous our appointment was at 2:30 and we waited for almost two hours not just this time but every time. If I had it to do over I would have returned to Amarillo B&J. Time to get a new office staff...

I took 2 of my 5 children to see Dr. Parker’s PA. He was thorough and casted my daughter’s buckle fractured wrist. She was back to Gymnastics in 5 weeks. He also splinted my son’s left ankle. Within a week my son was walking normal again. His PA’s are the most knowledgeable in the State!!!

Dr. Parker is a great dr and surgeon. He operated on me when I was in great pain. I no longer have pain anymore and can do things I could not do before. He is very prompt and answered all my questions for me when in need. His PA even returned a phone call to me late at night when I was in so much pain. The office staff is also super friendly.

Everyone’s always been great, very professional and friendly. They’ve always done their best to get us in as soon as possible. Great place!

I was sent to this office last year because I had broken my foot. The doctor wouldn’t even look at the xrays I had brought with me and told me it was just a toe and there was no reason I was even there. He was extremely rude and acted like I just wanted time off work. Fast forward to a year later and I’ve had to get an MRI on my foot and now am being referred out to a new podiatrist because it did not heal right and I have possible surgery in my future. Do not go to this office.

I have worked in the athletic healthcare field in the panhandle for over 15 years and have been referring HS, collegiate athletes, weekend warriors, family, and friends to Dr. Parker for over a decade. Literally hundreds of referrals. He and his staff have remained consistent with a high quality of care and being committed to making appointments promptly after being called. Sure, at times there are some waits, but theres always a chance of that with a trauma surgeon that is on call 20-30% of the year with 2 large hospitals.Dr. Parker and his PAs have worked in congruence to better the health and well being of so many that I know and they always put the patient #1. I would recommend any provider at Parker Sports medicine to anyone who has an orthopedic injury or ailment.

Dr. Parker performed a total hip replacement on me when my arthritis had made every step unbearable. Surgery was only a month ago and I have literally no pain! In fact, I went back to work 10 hours after I got out of the hospital (dont tell him that) and I have improved every day since. Panhandle Surgical Hospital gave me excellent care from the moment I walked in. Dr. Parker has done both knee replacements on my husband and he has had excellent results as well. We could not be happier with Dr. Parker and highly recommend him!

Dr. Parker and both PA’s have treated my girls on several occasions. I can call and get in either same day or the next. I highly recommend these guys.

Ive had multiple injections done here for shoulder and knee pains, the staff is very friendly, great place to go for all orthopedic needs.

Dr. Parker = AWESOME. The staff is what hurts him. They need to work on personable skills.

Dr Parker was on call at the ER. My friend had a fractured shoulder and humorous. Shes in her sixties and lives alone. He didnt even come down and see her. Did not admit her to the hospital saying she didnt meet the criteria. Here it is a week later, she needs surgery and everyone is booked. Several I have spoken with says Dr. Parker should have operated on her immediately.

Would not recommend at all. Office visits and office personnel are the absolute worst especially the main lady that takes your name to check you in. Your appointment time doesnt matter to anybody. If you have an appointment at 8 in the morning then plan on being there until 10 before ever getting called back. All they care about is money and getting paid before ever even seeing the Dr. They wanted to charge me for a follow up on a surgery that he performmed that still isnt right! Wish I never would have chosen this place to perform my surgery.

Spent 4.5 hours at Parker Orthopedic waiting to see Dr. Parker to address derogatory comments made by his office manager in a telephone conversation concerning an unpaid bill remaining due to an insurance error. The office manager told me that I was like the rest of them on welfare letting us pay your bills. I took strong offense to her words in light of the fact that I was unaware that the bill existed; and went to the office to make Dr. Parker aware of the situation. I never spoke with Dr. Parker, after waiting until all of the patients in the clinic had been seen. The physician assistant, Ryan, finally came out to talk to me and offered apologies for the offense.Upon arrival, the office manager asked me to leave and didnt want me to talk to the doctor. The front office staff particpaticted in the stall tactic until recognizing that I was NOT GOING TO LEAVE. I attempted to schedule a medical appointment in my effort to be seen by the doctor in order that I might address my concern.Randall High School should consider other professional service options to recommend to its athletic parents! The staff at Parker Orthopedic is poor and Dr. Parkers apathy regarding this matter is unacceptable!

Dr. Parker attempted to repair multiple ruptured left quadriceps in 2010. After the surgery I had extension lag (inability to lift my leg straight out. Dr. Parker performed a second surgery to correct this problem. He did not correct. So I then saw Dr. Tame Morgan who attempted to repair and he performed my third surgery with no success. Do I walked with a limp for years until my left leg have out and I began to fall unexpectedly. This caused major damage to other parts of my body. I retired from work on medical disability.I could no longer walk safely. In 2016 Dr. Katherine Coyner, in Dallas, repaired my left leg sl I souls lift it. A year later I began to fall again. I am being told I have nerve damage. Bottom line is that due to Dr. Psrkers surgeries I am now in a wheelchair.

Really helped to diagnose my stress fractures in my hips quickly. Highly recommend!

I had knee surgery, my mother had 2 knee surgeries, and my wife had hip treatment done all by Dr Parker. We are all 3 doing great and will continue to use him as our orthopedist.

My appointment was at 130 and Im told i owe 63 dollars up front for visit and xrays they took 4 xrays and came to my room wanting more money for the extra 2. Thats not my fault ur office cant get there Crap together. Its sad that because I didnt pay 4 the other xray on my other knee he didnt exam it at all. This dr office is a rip off and a waste of time and money. I was there 4 hours before leaving dont go here run dont walk away. The front desk staff are snobbs

Called on a Friday to ask a question here it is Tuesday still no answer went in for my appointment they say oh well that was yesterday. That is not what the lady on the phone told me friday and now it is come back in a week! Lady at front desk does NOT care about the patients! My torn acl will have to find a new Dr!

Dr. and staff were great, friendly and ready to help. Dr. Parker fixed my knee when other doctors said they couldnt.

Staff was horrible and rude, refused to see us because my license was expired. When I asked for a note for my childs school they told me no they dont see me. I asked if we could reschedule than I can have the father come instead they said yes I can just call them when I figure it out as I stood upfront of her with it already figured out. Had my PCP get me a referral to a different doctor will not go back

Dr. Parkers office and team are great! They preocured me and made me feel comfortable. The doctors who helped me were attentive and explained my needs and problems at each visit. I have been there for 2 surgeries to release my compartment syndrome in both calf muscles. I also entered when I fractured some bones in my hand. My hand was swollen! But they went out of their way to help me and give me my options and treatment plan. Without a doubt, I would recommend it to others !!
