Everyone was great! I was late to my appointment but the staff made no big deal about it and got me taken care of. Dr. Khan provided excellent care, too.

Broome Optical exceeds 5 stars in customer service and care. They go above and beyond!! Beverly helped me get glasses for my dry eye. She went out of her way to ensure the glasses I was interested in were in stock and available to try on. She called me personally when they were ready for pickup. Words cannot express how grateful I am for Beverly and Broome Optical. Jason was of great help as well in getting lenses!

The doctors and techs are great, but every time I’ve been in, the front desk workers were super rude. They seemed annoyed that I had to check out, even though it only took a few minutes. They all chat amongst themselves while serving customers, and it seems like they talk about other customers in rude ways. It makes for an uncomfortable experience.

I had a full examinations, picked out my frames and would have been out the door in less than 45 mins if I didnt change my mind on the frames at the last minute. In October 2020, I had one of the scariest ordeals ever. Lost vision in one eye and went in to see Dr. Martin. He was very calm as he diagnosed I had a detached retina. He got hold of a retina specialist and sent us straight to Dr. Eddy. I had surgery the next morning and I am well on my way to recovery. I had a follow up with Dr. Martin and I am so pleased with Broome, the staff , Dr. Martin and I am blessed to have my vision.

I saw Dr. Nossaman (sp?) he was informative, professional, and kind, he answered all of my questions and patiently explained things I didnt understand. Pay the extra $39 to get the pics of your inner eye. Its fascinating and an effective way to actually see whats going on in your eyes. Broome optical is set up with different stations so you move quickly and smoothly through the process of examination and purchase of glasses/contacts. the office is very modern and clean. All employees wore masks and half of the patients wore them too. I chose Dr. Nossaman because he did not require his patients to wear masks. Im happy with my choice and my service at Broome Optical.

I had an appointment at Broome Optical last week. My appointment with Dr. Williams went very well as usual. However, when I went to purchase new frames the stylist apparently had no time for customers. I have been coming to Broome for 13 years and never had such an awful experience. The stylist handed me a tray and told me how things were working, she then sat down at her desk and proceeded to gossip with all her coworkers without ever paying me any mind even when I was standing right beside her looking at frames. After trying on about 7 pairs, I walked over to her and said I was just having a little trouble finding the right pair. Her answer was Yeah sometimes that happens, better luck next time. She never once said well lets take a look together or what are you looking for? I will not be returning to buy glasses here. Maybe another store will value my time and money a little more.

Dr Hoang was very thorough, professional and friendly. Since I was a new patient she took the time to ask questions to get medical history and background info to add to my file. She picked up something on my inner eye photos and scheduled another appointment to check it again and see if it changes/clears up.

Dr Hoang is always patient and very sweet to my little family. Our recent visit was horrible. I have been going here for well over a decade and never have I been so mistreated. Needed some contacts to get by until my appointment (7 days later) and was told I could not have any. Keep in mind that I am paying for them not asking for free and was still told no! My usband called on 10 minutes later and they gave him an entire box for me (we paid for it) with no issues. Went to visit with my autistic son who cannot wear a mask and one of the staff I wont name on here treated him so terribly. I tried to keep a mask on him and its very hard and was still new for him as he doesnt get out much being immuno compromised. She was so horrible to him that my oldest daughter was furious and asked if we could leave. She then ended up skipping his eye visit and we started to leave when the Dr noticed. Long story short, after being s patient for nearly 30 years I am considering leaving. Smh! So disappointing that people still treat special needs children so terribly in this day and age.

I was very pleased with those technicians who met me in the parking lot to complete the necessary paperwork to check in to see Dr. Joe Williams for my initial appointment. My entire my visit was pleasant and I recommend him to anyone who needs their eyes examined professionally. I was amazed all of the up to date modern technology of the equipment used in examination process. It’s been probably at least 10 years since I had my eyes examined.

I went in for an appt and somehow my lenses got damaged during the appt and I couldnt see well out of them due to that damage, and I only have the one pair of glasses and can see absolutely nothing without them. I called the office and the supervisor, krystal (sp?), was very helpful. They had me come in that same morning and they made me new lenses right then. The whole process took maybe a half hour. Everyone I spoke to was super kind and quick to help me. I did not catch her name but kudos to the frame stylist that helped me pick out new frames on my original appt day. She was an absolute doll.

Ive been using Broome Optical for just over 10 years. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. Dr. Martin always remembers me and what we even talked about the year before. Really great friendly environment with a good selection of frames on hand too. Ive never felt the need to bother going anywhere else. I highly recommend them.

I have always appreciated the service at Broome Optical, but now even more so. They have taken every precaution to keep their patients safe during this pandemic. Each person I came into contact with was very professional and kind. Dr.Hoang is as usual kind, knowledgeable and takes time to explain all eye issues I deal with. Dr O Brian. has seen me for approximately 10 years. About five years ago she was suspicious of something changing in my eye. I am diabetic and she sent me to Dr. Ryan Rush. Everything was fine but I do go yearly to see Dr. Rush and about every two years to see Dr O Brian. for new glasses.She is patient and thorough. She’ll carry a conversation And not make you feel like you have 17 minutes to get in and get out. Their staff is friendly and their appointments are timely. All of these things are important to me I hate waiting in the doctors office forever

Be careful this place can bill your medical insurance without telling you that you are being treated by a specialist, or even to mention that what they are doing is outside the scope of your original appointment. they will gladly charge you a copay yet never mention that you are being seen by a specialist.ok this is a response to your response.I cant believe you would apologize for doing nothing wrong! I spoke to your billing lady just before posting this review. I told her I was not made aware I was being treated by a specialist or that I was being billed for a separate appointment. I told her she could take the 70.00 or keep a customer but not both. she chose the money!! you cant change facts with hollow apologies!

The service provided by Broome was great. The merchandise, in this case the lenses, have proven to be very inferior. This is the second pair of lenses in two consecutive years to fail. Part of this may have been caused by the labs used, of that I am unsure. I only know that my lenses physically failed both this year and last. If this is the best that Broome Optical has to offer, then maybe one should look elsewhere. The replacement lenses didnt monetarily cost anything, so that is a plus, but that also is because the lenses carry a warranty, which Im sure I did pay for in the initial cost of the lenses.I appreciate the opportunity to provide feedback.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Was straight to the point. Didnt make eye contact with me, not very friendly. Glasses were over priced. For less than the price I was quoted for repurposing one pair of old frames with updated lenses, I was able to purchase four pairs (including one bifocal, one prescription sunglasses, and two more...two designer frames...all with protective coating) at another Amarillo location. I probably wont be doing business with Broome in the future. Too expensive.

If I could give 5 stars for the doctor and his assistant, I would. But the rest of the service was a little disappointing.I have always had help with picking my glasses from other places.They look at the shape of my face, help with frames, etc. I got very little help here.And because of COVID, you have to make sure every pair you touch gets put in a tray for sanitizing. They just took my temp at the door so that just seems a bit overboard. You end up not wanting to try on as many glasses. Cant they put a bottle of hand sanitizer throughout the areas where you try them on?But, beyond these Covid frustrations...I had three family members get glasses. My two daughters were told it could be 4 weeks but they would call when their glasses got in. I called at a little over 4 weeks and were told, yes, there are in. I asked, why didnt you contact us? And she said, well, I dont know. It says notified on the paper. Well, we werent notified and the girl did not even apologize.Again, I really liked the doctor and the sweet girl who assisted him. I know COVID is part of the problem, but there was no excuse for not calling us, and then writing on the paper that we were notified when we werent.

Clearly (pun intended) the premier optical business in Amarillo and the Panhandle. From the newest employee all the way up the ladder to the eye doctors, Broome Optical has the most knowledgeble, efficient, friendly and caring staff I have ever encountered. Their selection of frames is fabulous. I have had my particular frames for over a year and I still get compliments on how beautiful they are.Yes, there are cheaper optical businesses in this area and they promise same day or fast service. I doubt seriously that you would get the quality of products and services that Broome has to offer.

My family and I have been with Broome Optical for many years and we have had great experiences each time. The only reason I am not giving them a 5 Star rating is because no one helped me while I was selecting a pair of sunglasses. I seem to get a bit overwhelmed with the many options and prices available. I was told someone would be right with me after my eye exam but the attendants that worked that area were sitting and talking to one another versus helping me find a pair that would be within the amount I wanted to spend. It also took me a bit to figure out how the glasses were organized (mens versus womens, youth glasses, name brands, etc.) After I finally found a pair I had to stand back up at the front area where you check out, wait in line to let someone know I had selected a pair of sunglasses, and ask what I needed to do to order them.

I really appreciated the fact that I didnt have to wait long. They were very efficient in my testing and courteous as I checked out.
