We absolutely love family eye eye are. A great group of individuals who are so kind and professional. Dr. Weir does a great job interacting with my little one and makes her feel comfortable and speaks go her as a patient and not just a little kid.

This was my first visit and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. They were patient with me while I tried on new frames and answered all my questions. Great experience!

The staff was friendly and the doctor knowledgeable. They got me in and out in a timely manner. They are very Covid cautious if that’s a concern for you.

Both the staff and Dr. Chafin were amazing. I initially felt nervous coming in but they immediately made me feel welcome. It almost makes me wish I needed eye exams more often.

I agree with everyone, Dr. Chaffin was wonderful. However, thats where I must stop with the good review. When I paid for my glasses, there was no receipt nor did they even cover what the costs were. I student over $800. Then, upon pickup, Im made to wait in my car due to covid. I had a mask I couldve worn inside. They proceeded to hand them to me and thank me. I said I needed them adjusted so she had to take them inside. No, face to face customer service at all! Ive worn glasses for over 30 years and this was the worst experience Ive ever had

I had to take by 4 y/o son in to have vision checked due to trouble at school. Dr. Weir and her staff were extremely kind and made him feel at ease with the whole process. For a 4 y/o kid this can be kind of scary but the examination and everything was easy. Would recommend for kiddos!

You wont find a better eyecare place in Amarillo. Great doctors who truly care about getting your eyes where they need to be. They also have an excellent, very stylish selection of glasses for adults and kids. The glasses they got me have improved my quality of life. I highly recommend going there for all your eye needs!

Dr. Chaffen(sp) was amazing and worked with me to find the best contact that I could see well in. The only issue I had is with the guy that worked in the glasses Department. He came over and wanted 5 dollars to measure my pd which should be included in my exam. When I told him other places do it for free he said that i could go there. This was very unprofessional and especially after I spent money on a contact and glasses exam and bought contacts.

They did a GREAT job with my daughters first ever eye exam!!! We will definitely be going back when needed!!

This is a great place the doctors are very kind and caring. The staff is okay, know that this is just my opinion, the way they treat me is more like a child, I feel as though they are talking down to me rather than like a human being. One tech in particular really got to me, I am not sure if its the fact that most of the staff are women or if it is just that particular persons personality, she S talks to her co-workers just fine but when she spoke to me she treated me as though I were five years old. This may be the factor that stops me from going there again, we will see. I gave it two stars because of the lack of diversity in the staff and for being treated like I was five, other than that the doctors are great.

Dr. Weir is exceptionally knowledgeable and takes the time to explain what is going on and why you are being prescribed the lenses you are. I have been to doctors in the past who give me minimal information and I feel lost about my health, not here. The staff were kind and accommodating and it was overall a great experience!

I rarely have to wait more than a few minutes. Dr. Weir is diligent about finding the right pair of contacts for me. She makes sure the fit is just right, they are comfortable, and that I can see. My experience was terrible. I wish you could put zero stars. I walked in was never greeted. The receptionists kept doing what they were doing. One waited on another patient that had come in after I did. Someone finally took my paperwork and I had a seat. From my seat I saw them take back person after person I tried to tell myself well I don’t know what’s going on with them, maybe it’s different from my visit. When they took back a patient that had just walked in so now EVERYONE had been seen ahead of me I got up and told them I had waited an hour and been ignored I was told it was an unusual day and my paperwork couldn’t be found. I never even saw a doctor or got past the waiting area. But they were sorry. So Very Sorry

Dr.Weir is the best! I’ve had a bad sinus infection for months and after a run around of doctors , I went to my usual eye check up and had mentioned my sinus problems and she was quick to get to the problem and get me the correct medicine and not just in and out like the rest. I recommend her

I picked up my expensive computer glasses this morning and saw that they were bent WAY out of shape. I was certain they were ruined. I took them back to AFE, was greeted warmly and after a short wait received my glasses back repaired, clean and as good as new!! Perfect service and no hassles! I highly recommend AFE. This is why I will continue to use Amarillo Family Eyecare.

This place is garbage!! Do not go. If you go in for a standard eye exam and There is something wrong.... They will not tell you or give you the option to proceed with a medical exam. Not only are they out of network with medical insurance... but if you habe not met your deductible with your medical insurance you will have to pay $195 out of pocket for the medical exam. If you need a follow up appt for the same exam... its $109 out of pocket. Just got off of the phone with them... five minutes ago. Dishonest people. Beware.

I seriously couldnt ask for a better dr! Shes been my dr for a little over 5 years and love her! She knows her stuff! Awesome at what she does and you can tell shes passionate about it and her patients! The entire office is really sweet and take the time to answer any questions! Such a pleasure dealing with anyone there! My whole family goes there!

Awful place, Drs are great! However, their staff is the worst. I went in for contacts and lenses, they overcharged me for lenses and never even included the contacts. I wouldnt recommend to anybody. I told them contacts were a priority and they never told me the price of JUST the lenses never included my contacts until I called them questioning it. Never again!

I absolutely love Dr. Weir and her staff! Everybody is so friendly and knowledgeable!

Came in for a check up on June 2nd, three weeks ago. They overcharged me $75 for a contact lens fitting which I NEVER received, and $35 for the check-up copay. I was in a rush to drop my dad off at the airport so I didnt have a chance to look into the charges until I got back home. My health insurance (Aetna - comprehensive annual eye exam covered under the plan) provided full coverage for the visit, so I should not have been charged the copay, and I should not have been charged the fitting fee since I never even got contact lenses fitted either. I called their office a week ago and followed up today, they had not looked into the matter at all after I brought it up the first time, and the office manager treated me like an idiot the second time I brought it up to their attention. According to the office manager, their policy is to NOT provide refunds for services which they never performed in the first place. Please do not visit this business if you prefer dealing with professional staff members. I am pretty upset by either the shady practices or gross incompetence going on here when it comes to billing.Update: After multiple calls and several back and forths to clear up the situation they refunded me $75 but said they could not change the copay charge, citing the fact that I had already pulled the benefit on June 6th, four days after my June 2nd visit, which still doesnt make any sense at all. They were the only eye-care place I had ever visited in the past year and a half.

Staff is not what is was in their old office! These girls are on the verge of rude . Dr. Should talk to them and either tell them to lower their noses or find a new job!
