Hands down the best experience I have had we walk in the atmosphere was just so Lively and welcoming. I was attended by Sarah and Karen and Im telling you Sarah made me feel so grrreeaat because I had my 20 month old daughter with me and she was getting into everything but she didnt look down on me she made me feel. its okay you know.k Karens smile at the end of that appointment with definitely the cherry on top of the cake I want to thank you too for making my experience theyre the best experience Ive had and I had a rough rough day prior to my appointments and you girls really made a difference and I thank God may you pour blessings on you all.

I was on my last leg/pair of contacts that had ripped in my eye. Having just moved to Amarillo I didn’t have an optometrist. Stanton got me an appointment hours after I called in and was greeted with the sweetest team of ladies including the fabulous Sara R. who’s energy and awesome nature made my day. I left with a new pair of contacts and peace of mind knowing that I’ve found the best Optometrist office in Texas. If google would let me rate 10 stars I would!

I had bought two qualiy pair of glasses for a decent price. Then after I had really destroyed a pair, Sara replaced the frame under warranty ($17). It only took about 10 minutes. Good friendly service and she even helped me find a good manicurist. Sara= Great, and Stanton pretty darned good too.

This was the best experience I’ve ever had getting an eye exam! The process was quick and easy, the virtual optometrists were very nice, and the staff was awesome! Not to mention, the promotions they’re running saved me more than 300$ on my contacts and lenses! I will definitely be returning!

Went in on a Saturday morning with a scheduled appointment time. I arrived before my scheduled time and everything was going ok. I did the preliminary screening and they explained the eye exam process. After the exam which was done virtually and the optometrist was friendly but was hard to understand and talk to about vision issues, I was sent to lobby to start looking at frames. After about 30 minutes of no contact with anyone I walked out and will never go back.

I got my glasses after 2 weeks. They were the wrong prescription. I went back to the store( i live 150 miles away). I have waited another 2 weeks and still no glasses. Good price but it has been a month and a half…

I made a last minute appointment this evening and I couldnt be happier that I did. I have been wearing glasses for longer then I can remember and I have never had a more pleasant experience then I did tonight! Everyone was so wonderful and welcoming. After my eye exam I was browsing the glasses and Alex was kind enough to help me pick some great new frames. He made some recommendations and helped me find the perfect pair! It was just such a wonderful experience! I wish I would have found this place sooner! I will definitely be back again for myself and for my family!

I went in to order contacts but came out having ordered a new pair of glasses as well. My fave shape is a little difficult and Nick was so awesome and patient, helping me find the right frame to fit me! Not only was he very attentive, he was also personable and had a great attitude!

People are nice enough but as they say, you get what you pay for. I dont care for the fact they have a doctor check your eyes via teleconference. I cant see any better now than I could before I got my glasses.

This place does not even deserve half a star. I took my own pair of glasses and the young lady told me if I choose one of their pair of glass frames I can get their special. I asked the young lady that I wanted everything that was on my previous glasses on the new ones. I paid for half of my total and was told my glasses would be in, in 2 weeks. 3 weeks past and never received a call, text or e-mail. I went in and the young lady told me only one pair of glasses were in. They would call me or text me when the other pair was in. She verified my phone number. The glasses i took home did not have what my previous glasses had. Im never in town so I waited for them to call me and tell me my other pair was in so I would not have to drive down there all the time. Well another month past and I came into town to see if my other glasses were in and to let them know my glasses are not the same as my previous glasses. I spoke to the manager named Nick and asked him if he can fix them he said yes but I would have to pay more. I thought that was not fair. I asked for my money back and he refused to give it to me and kept both pair of my glasses.

These guys were awesome!! Made the appointment, got in, got out, all in the same day. Not long afterwards, picked up our new glasses. Staff was patient, attentive, and good natured. We felt welcome and wanted, and left feeling satisfied. Im glad my sons first trip to the optometrist was at a place like this!

I went to Stanton with two other people and unfortunately, this location uses the virtual media to conduct an eye exam! It was a joke and I would not recommend it for anyone. As we all know, there is no way any normal human being can get two pairs of glasses for $59.95, at the same time, their prices aren’t too bad, reasonable in fact. But the prescription they came up for me showed a 50% change in one eye and I knew that not to be true. If you just need glasses and no exam, Staton might be just perfect for you, but if you need an exam, go elsewhere!

I purchased my glasses and wore for a week. They were a tri focal lens with all the options$700 worth. I notice the readers were weak so I went back to have them inspected. I was informed they were not correct and needed to be corrected. Never heard back from anyone so went to check on them. I put them on and immediately and noticed the same thing. My dispenser obviously annoyed with my dissatisfaction said that he could send them back and was unwilling to refund my money. Thinking it might be me I tried to wear them for two days. I started having a headache and my computer monitor was much wider at the top than the bottom very asymmetrical. I am going to try again Monday to get things resolved and will follow up with hopefully a more positive review.

I had an appointment today and it was AMAZING. Nice and patient employees who have a great sense of humor. Alejandro helped me pick out my glasses by walking me through the store and by answering all the questions I could possibly think up. Definitely recommend asking for Alejandro to help guide you if you were as unsure about the eye appointment process, as I was.

Do not waste your time here with this place! It seriously does not even deserve one star. I went in at 3pm and they close at 7pm and they still could not cut my lense so I could pick it up same day. When I walked in it seriously took 15 minutes for someone to help me when there was only one other customer in there and at least 3 other staff members. Someone finally got up when my toddler started screaming at the top of his lungs. The only reason they probably got up was because they were annoyed. When I went back k to check how busy they were there was only one other customer in the store who was a friend of the lady who had helped me because she was dancing and laughing ( so I am pretty sure she was not a customer). I will never waste my time with this business again. It is a bunch of lazy girls other than the one man who was actually working.

Im absolutely beyond satisfied with my experience with Stanton Optical!I worked mainly with Alex, but the ladies in the office were exceptional, as well.Alex, went above and beyond and made sure everything was great with my order.I got the free exam, and 2 pair of new glasses, one pair of sunglasses and one regular, and they also made new lenses for my Ray Bans, which I love!All this for less than just two pair cost me less than two years ago!Great job, gang!Thank you so much!!!

I had an appointment at another place and ended up here by mistake...I got lost. They managed to squeeze me and my daughter in their schedule. It went great!! The staff was great! 🛑 AVOID 🛑 GO TO A REAL OPTOMETRIST, The virtual eye doctor led to wrong measurements, turns out my prescription was a whole diopter off as well as my pupillary distance. My current eye doctor (who is a living breathing human) was able to find this discrepancy and adjust my prescription.

Had an order with 2 pairs of glasses and needed them shipped because i was moving, they only shipped 1 pair, and the pair that arrived had a defect in the lens. I took it in when i drove back to my old town 3 weeks later to get the lens replaced and pick up the pair that wasnt shipped. New pair did not have the defect but the clerk claimed it was where your astigmatism lies and when i pointed out it wasnt in the other pair he just brushed me off and repeated it was in my prescription even tho it was a blurry wave through my prescription. Then i realized it was 45 minutes to close after i had just accepted they werent going to help and felt they just didnt want to correct the error.Went to a different branch in lubbock and when they saw it they immediately noted it as a defect and processed my replacement lenses in like 4 minutes no problem.Quality of service shouldnt be the luck of who helps you what time you enter a business.

This is a good deal and impeccable service!!! I walked in and was greeted immediately with a smile. I did need a new prescription and was put on a list ASAP, was seen within 10 minutes. So a little on how this place operates, you get your appointment, it is all done remotely... the doctor isn’t in the room with you but literally operates via inter-web. You get out and pay $45. If you purchase glasses you get that $45 as a credit toward the final cost of frames and lenses. The bargain frames must be ordered and it takes around a week to get them. I didn’t get bargain frames but I did get buy one get one free on frames. You then pay for lenses, anywhere from $99 to $199 depending on your script. If you wear glasses you know this normal. Scratch resistant extra $$.... and so on. This is where it gets good!!! You can pay $25 and for the next two years you get four frames, at the same cost of your most expensive frame, for FREE!!! You only pay for the lenses. Now I have only one complaint, their frames are mostly in-house brands.... not so many name brand. I am not too snooty when it comes to that but for the price of some of the frames they should be.I was really impressed with the service and glasses I picked. They also makes lenses in-house and they are generally done that day. Highly recommended!!!! Will go back for more!!!

Check in was quick and easy using the tablet which had my pre-appointment information available. The wait was short and the virtual exam was easy to work with, even though my past experience was with an on-site doctor. Mark was very helpful with my frame selection and processing my order. I strongly recommend Staton Optical for your vision needs.

Had an appointment at 9:10AM , several people ahead of me were still waiting and filling out personal information. Was told I would get right in and it would take about 15 minutes. Instead I was was told to browse around and there was several ahead of me waiting to be seen. Also the young man at front counter had a uncomfortable personality and lacked politeness.Not a welcoming atmosphere.I left without exam informed the host he was a rude man and needed some bedside manners for being gruff with an elderly couple.

I honestly didnt have high hopes walking in. They were really understaffed and it took awhile for someone to get me started on paperwork for my exam. They did make up for it with exceptional customer service and care after my exam though. Marshall, the employee who was helping me, noticed that my insurance wasnt going to cover my exam even though I had called before hand and asked if they would and they said they did. Marshall was super helpful and nice, he was absolutely willing to work with me in this situation and Im very thankful for all he did to help me out! Ill definitely be back.

I drove 115 miles to the store, with my son, because there is none in my area. I was treated nicely, but the eye exam left a lot to be desired. They used a machine and instead of a real live optometrist there was a lady on the TV who asked the standard questions. As a result the eye exam was remarkably inaccurate, and ultimately caused the $559 glasses I got two weeks later in the mail, to give me headaches. When I called and asked if i could mail them back for a refund, I was told I would have to come in personally, which of course means a 230 mile round trip. Needless to say...I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS RIP-OFF!

When I called to make an appointment the staff was very helpful and friendly.Actually had the appointment today they do the actual eye exam through a online video software like Skype. Doctor tests the eyes remotely and the process is automatic. They have an amazing selection of frames for glasses all four walls are filled with them so they have something for everyone. It was my first time ordering contact lenses the staff showed me the procedure very helpful overall the whole process was simple and fast would recommend!!!

Just know going in that the eye Dr is virtual. Not my preference for the amount of money that was spent. Staff was friendly, and the eyeglasses section was nice. The recommendation by the eye dr was not discussed with me at all in regards to seeing a specialist. If youre looking for cheap service and cheap glasses, then this is your place. We wont be returning.

My favorite place to get frames closed down, so I decided to try this place. Worst decision ever. Brought my sisters glasses to get new lenses added as she didn’t want new frames since she really liked her current ones. After not hearing back for days, I had to call only to find out that they had lost her frames. I was told nothing could be done except get frames with them as a replacement option. Mind you my sisters frames were expensive and brand name and she had them for years since she chose not to get new ones since she really loved the ones she had. I was told that they would look for them and that I should expect a call back in a week. I never once received a call back and I had to continuously call them for months only to get the run around. I ended up having to settle with getting frames with them but only because I had to. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. I’d give them zero stars if I could.

Very professional and helpful staff. Both my wifes and my glasses frames ended up being ones the staff recommended for us; they definitely know what looks good with your face shape. The exams feel unconventional at first (remote doctor over a webcam), but Ive been very satisfied with the results and reasonable pricing. We worked with Alex most recently, and he was fantastic and very personable.

Ordered glasses 15 days ago, I was warned of the time it takes to get here but I cant get anyone to answer the stores phone. When someone does talk to you its from a foreign call center and they literally have no answers for you. This place is a complete scam!! Was promised contacts it’s been over a month no contacts was placed on hold for over and hour but each time I called back to make a new appointment was put through in less than 30 seconds most unprofessional place I’ve ever been to in my life. It’s a few dollars cheaper than other places around but not worth it at all. Please do yourself a favor and pay the extra $10 money and go somewhere else. Worst experience of my life.

I ordered some contacts and they told me they were going to give me a free trial and they did not give me the trial. When I received my contacts I obviously had to try them on and one eye was way off, I couldn’t see. I went back and they told me that the box was open and I couldn’t do anything. If I didn’t have my trial, how was I suppose to know if they were the correct prescription? Very bad service!

Great places to get glasses but really disappointed with the service provided. They told me they would send me my glasses in the mail to my address and it would take two weeks. I get that. Plus I made sure with the guy that check us out this is how it would be.... 3 weeks later no glasses so I call in and no one wanted to help me. 2 days later I call back in and the first guy I talked to was a little more helpful in trying to track my order. Sent an email to the store I had got my glasses cause they wouldn’t answer when he tried to forward the call to the store location. A girl called me back a while later and said they would have to have 10 dollars to ship and she had to have the payment to go forward. I explained to her that the guy that had checked me out the day I paid for my glasses never said anything about the 10 dollars and had told me they would ship straight to my house and he had verified the address. She would back down and said they had to have 10 dollars. So I asked her if this problem was mine when it was really their mess up and she just stuttered around. We live 2 hours from town and now I have to go pick them up because they messed up and won’t ship them to me. Like I said I’m very disappointed in them not sure I’ll do business there again!

First off they tell you 2 pairs of glasses for 60 bucks. There is limited frames that are that price. They are horrible and you wont like them so you will see ones you do like and they will be 150 each. Plus the actual eye exam is done by someone in India over a zoom call and they control the goggles and ask you which option is better but they are so hard to understand that you have to ask them to repeat themselves many times. My experience was very a very unprofessional one. Take the time and save some money get a quality experience elsewhere.

I was a little apprehensive about this place given past reviews. I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised. I arrived late to my appointment but they where still able to get to be almost immediately. The facility was well lit, clean, the staff behaved with the up most professionalism. They were warm and welcoming. Marshall was extremely helpful, a very kind man who made a effort to not only help me pick out frames , but kept checking in on me and made me feel like I mattered. Like I was a guest, and not just a customer.

So I’m a truck driver that lives over in Arkansas I was in Amarillo on 12/21/20 for a few days on a layover and since I never seem to find the time while I’m home to get my eyes done I figured hey I’m not doing anything right now I would get my eye done so I went to a eye doctor not Stanton in town to get my eyes looked since every time you call Stanton you get there call center and it’s some Indian person you can barley understand got my prescription for my eye and went to Stanton thinking hey I use these guys back home I’ll get my glass Same day nope got in there come to find out they stopped doing in store glass and your prescription has to be mailed off to home office in Florida now because of the covid pandemic so I was like ok that fine just mail them to my the girl said it may take two or three weeks Christmas and New Years well I wait and week after New Years just to give them time well I check my order online Thursday 1/14/21 and it said my glass were at the store when they were supposed mail them to me so I called the call center and told them what was going on and they said we will get with store and get them mailed to you just give us 24-48 hrs and we will get back with you well I waited till Saturday and called again because I haven’t heard any from them and told me the same thing again well Haven’t heard anything back yet and still don’t have my glasses don’t do business here periodUpdate 1/20/21 10:57amSo I still didn’t hear anything back from them yesterday besides a comment on this review I let’s so this morning I started to try to call the store did this about 10 time from 10:15 to 10:30 and it forwarded me the call center every time so I talked to the call center again told them I need to talk to someone in store and I didn’t want to deal with them call center tried twice to call the store no one pick up so he told me a manger would call me I told time that I would give them till the end of Business today to call me since I’ve been dealing with this for almost a week now and no response or calls it’s going to be real sad if I got to file lawsuit over this for something so simple to fix so I’ll wait till 7pm today and see if I get a call I’ll update if I do or notUpdate #2 1/20/21 430pmSo finally got ahold of the store manger I called many time to get through to store to talk to the manger my glass have been shipped from the store with ups and should arrive in a few days problem solved

So my first experience with Stanton Optical was okay. The distance eye exam is lack luster, but its how they keep prices low. Glasses take a while, but thats fine. Their selection isnt the best, but they have some nice frames.My second experience on the other hand has been a nightmare. Its not this locations fault, and the people who work at the Amarillo location are great. Just dont believe their promise date. They guarantee a normal set of glasses will arrive within 2-3 weeks, welp its been a month and nothing. Unfortunately, the people at the physical location are hindered by their system and there really isnt anything they can do to help you.I would firmly recommend looking for a different eye care provider. They take a lot of insurance and have good quality glasses, but its not worth paying to be treated like you dont matter by some amorphous corporate entity.

Would give zero stars if allowed. First experience took forever to get out of there with an exam and picking glasses. Over 3 hours. Fast forward 6 weeks later my frames broke.(Even bought expensive frames!) Went to get them replaced under manufacturers warranty, but left due to the amount of customers just standing around waiting on service. Absolutely unacceptable experience!Read the reviews people! Wish I had!$400 down the drain! I went in 3 months ago and was told I would have my glasses is 2 weeks. 3 months later I finally got them. When I told the rep that I couldnt see out of either pair and he told me that I needed to retrain my eyes. I felt like I had been incredibly patient waiting so long but to be told that was the final straw. I took the frames to another place who put new lenses in and I can see just fine. Thanks for nothing 🙄

I ordered a pair of sunglasses from here, and was told they would be ready in 2 weeks, and would receive a call when they are ready. 3 weeks passed, and I went to the store to see if they were ready, and found out they had been sitting there for 5 days. When I looked at them, they were not what I wanted, there was almost no tint to them, so they sent them back to the lab, and I was told 2 more weeks. I called the store and the manager said they would be ready on 6/25/2020, when I went they were not there, so I requested a refund, and I only got a partial refund, and no explanation as to why they could not give me a full refund. I have called 5 times since then trying to reach the manager or assistant manager, but have not actually gotten the store, but customer service, and each time I am told the same thing. I called today and the customer service lady was very rude to me when I was explaining what was going on and she hung up on me. I was told by them that I could expect a call back within 24 to 48 hours, but I never do. I would not recommend this store for sunglasses.

The young lady named Karen was an absolute delight. She had a very friendly demeanor and helped me with not only my exam but also helped me find more than one pair I absolutely loved. She gave me fast and friendly service and great prices. Karen also was able to get my glasses cut and framed within a short amount of time. I will definitely be referring family and friends to karen at Stanton optical.

The worst. THE WORST. Non-stop problems with the prescription they wrote, for me, for my son, for my daughters, for my wife. Every prescription I have taken somewhere else has been problematic as they did not fill them out correctly. Dont even get me started with the experience in store. I never ever write reviews, this time I felt compelled to. Pay more, go local.

Frustrated at the moment. Love my frames and cant wait to get them, but from the day I paid for the glasses I was receiving multiple automated calls a day from 2 numbers asking me to do a survey, despite me denying repeatedly and finally had to block both numbers after them blowing my phone up for 4 days! Then I check online where it says my glasses will be there Monday, which is memorial day, so I tried calling the store and the customer service line to see if the store will be open on Monday or closed for the holiday, but couldnt get through to anyone on either line and got tired of sitting on hold for 20+ minutes!I was originally told I would receive an automated call when they had arrived at the store and to call back to double check, but why tell anyone to call when nobodys answering the phone in the first place?

I had a great experience with Marshall. Hes very knowledgeable about eyeglass wear. I was prescribed bifocals and am very new to how all of that works. He explained everything to me and made me feel good about my purchase. He has a great personality and even better customer service skills. Go to Marshall at Stanton hell do great by you.

If you need glasses right away dont go there. I was told up to 2 weeks but usually dont take that long.. Now they tell me 3 weeks usually.. I will never go there again very expensive, compared to the waiting time. so now Ive waited almost 2 weeks with headaches and they tell me its another week.. need a little more attention to their customers needs. ..Talk to them again today now its 2 days short of a month to get a pair of glasses... amazing.. Update finally canceled my order as it would be 6 weeks to get my glasses. I see they replied to my post with a offer to help if I called them. To bad thats not a sincere offer of help, because they truly dont care. Please if my post hasnt convinced you to look elsewhere for your eyeglasses. Just look them up and youll see hundreds of compliments against them, I wish I had took the time, and now Im finally getting care from someone else, who will have my glasses to me before these guys would of.

We have had great experiences with the Staton Optical in Amarillo tx. They always have awesome prices on their glasses. Our kids are really rough on their glasses and with the prices we are able to get several pairs to have backups. We would definitely recommend them to our friends and Family..

I was very pleased with my visit. My contact ripped this morning and of course on a Sunday! My regular eye doctor was not available so I called around and found this office and they got me an appointment instantly. Everyone was extremely nice and quick. I was a little worried about doing the exam from a dr on screen but I was pleased with how easy it was. I was 25 minutes early for my appointment but they still saw me right away and I was out 10 minutes after my scheduled time, able to see again! 10/10 would highly recommend. I’ll be back for glasses soon.Also, very very affordable! I don’t have insurance so I was glad I didn’t have to spend $100 or more!

I ordered contacts at this place almost a month ago. Was originally told they’d have them in 7-10 days but given the current pandemic it may be two weeks. Every week I call they say it will be next week. They refuse to give me a refund, a supervisor won’t call me back. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR BUSINESS! There are plenty of reputable , friendly professionals in the area.
