I have taken my child to Therapyland for 2 years. He comes for ABA, OT and ST. Therapyland has been one of the best choices I have made for my child. He has made such improvement. I recently took my son to his grandparents home and they had not seen him in 6 months. They were in shock on how much he has improved. I see it everyday, but the true test came when they noticed it right away. Thank you Therapyland for everything you are doing for my son.TC

I was employed at Therapyland for a little over a year and I must say that the supervision and knowledgeable therapists there are top of the line. In addition to being a therapist Im also a mother to a child with an Autism diagnosis and this is the one place I would 100% be comfortable sending my child to. I cant say enough great things about Sandi, the director who always puts the best interest of the children first. If youre looking for a place for services, this is the place.

My son started the treatment in Jul/2018 with 4 years old and barely could speak a few words. Now, Jul/2020, he has been discharged from Therapyland by having reached out the max goal-setting it was provided to him as a plan. He is talking quite a bit, attending regular school and his behavior, comprehension skills and many other areas of treatment have increased exponentially. I credit a great part of it to Therapyland - super friendly staff, very professional and terrific structure!!! Thanks very much!

I went to this facility because of the great reviews and due to being recommended by my pediatrician. I am now leaving this place due to the lack of communication and rudeness when you ask questions. The only way they seemed concerned is when the child is completely non-functional. As a parent of a high-functioning child, who still needs help from professionals to help him achieve his full life potential and help him in way that I cannot it is disheartening as a parent and as someone who works in the healthcare field to see how dismissive they are. After weeks of continuous calls and email I receive a final email that due to his needs being less than others they could not give me an estimate of when they would be able to schedule him. After a month of asking, this could have been said a month ago and I would have been able to get him to a different provider. Instead I am left in limbo for this time period while my son is the one who suffers. This is not the facility I would want my child to attend after having to wait so long.

We have been taking our son to Therapyland for nearly a year. We found out he has autism. My wife and I did not know what to do. We were refereed to Therapyland by many sources our doctors and parents and everyone said this place was the best. I met the owner and he spent nearly 2 hours walking us through everything. No selling and very compassionate to us and our needs. We worked with the billing department and were able to get our services covered. Our son is doing things now that we never thought he could or would be able to do. I love this place the therapist love our son and it shows. I wish I could give more stars to this place. My son has been attending Therapyland for over a year. We first found out about our diagnosis and we were devastated. Our Pediatrician recommend we call several places and Therapyland was one of the places. I spoke to the young lady at the front desk and she was extremely helpful. She could tell I was overwhelmed. She was polite and told me that we would help her anyway we could. She asked some basic information and then had me complete a few documents. The billing department was Amazing. They verified my benefits with our insurance and the explanation of my cost were broken down based on what my deductible and max out of pocket was. I wanted to take a tour of the facility and the woman at the front desk set up a tour with the CEO of the company. He was very knowledgeable and spent nearly 2 hours with me and my husband explaining everything from Insurance, Katie Becket, The services what they do at Therpayland. He even explained the qualification of each therapy they have. I was overwhelmed with all of the information but at the same time felt no pressure at all from him or any of his staff. They are all professionals. My husband and I decided to send our son to Therapyland for ABA, OT, and ST. The process took several days of evaluations and a couple of weeks of writing up reports. My son is 3 years old and non verbal. He had a lot of problems when we first were diagnosed, but since coming to Therapyland he has started to speak. He has Amazing therapist and they are all so professional. The notes that we received from his therapist are so detailed. We are so happy we made the decision to come to Therapyland. This place really has been a blessing for us and for our son. Thank you for opening this amazing place.SC.

We love Therapyland! It has truly been a lifesaver for our son (and family). He is in their amazing intensive ABA program and has blossomed under their service. He was essentially non-verbal when he started and is now using and learning more words every day. He had extreme difficulty following simple commands/instructions, and now he will do what hes asked more often than not. He also is almost 100% potty trained which I didnt think would happen so quickly! He also receives Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy there too! Courtney B does a wonderful job teaching my son and teaching our family the best ways to communicate. She goes above and beyond in helping our son exceed his potential. Corinna L is his OT and is great as well. She is always open to suggestions and gives us tips and tricks to use with our son to make everyday tasks easier. I love the frequent updates we get on his day and his progress. My son loves going to school here each day, and I know he is loved by all of the therapists and staff here.

Clare Page for PT is one of the best you will find in State of GA.What we also love is Therapyland participates in latest parent seminars, conducts programs where therapists educate parents on dealing with challenges. Honest Truth: Therapyland is a wonderful environment for the success of children but HORRIBLE for certain staff members. I would even send my children to work with the amazing therapist. The management needs supervisory training and needs to learn how not to lead using personal opinions and feelings. They took the ABA staffs lunch breaks and they have to bid for 15 minute breaks. They now have a ridiculous dress code where we have to only wear plain attire without words but overprice their personal company jackets. The clinic staff is treated based on who they like the best. The owner and supervisors are friends so it leaves no room for a professional and unbiased HR department. There is no chain of command and management uses this to their advantage. They do NOT take their staffs thoughts and professional opinions into consideration. The therapist work countless hours to ensure the success of these amazing children only to feel like slaves themselves. The owners and supervisors have ONLY terminated minority staff members (African-Americans) since the company began and has not allowed a few minority staff to complete their time with the company after a professional resignation was put in. This put the minority staff on edge and dubious about their place within the company. This unjust and unfair treatment is unacceptable and people should know about it. On the other hand the therapist are phenomenal! I feel sorry for a few of us though.. :(

I am writing this review as a former Occupational Therapist of Therapyland for several reasons. First, I would like to shed hindsight on the disregard and lack of empathy management has and displays towards it employees. Second, I would like to share some of my own personal observations as a professional who worked in this facility. And Third, a message! It was brought to my attention this week that a home of one their employees, an ABA therapist, was burned down in a fire on 10/16/19. Management was not only made fully aware of the situation but watched as she had to run out of the building to try and save her belongings. Not only did she loose her home, but she lost all of her belongings, her daughters belongings, newly purchased appliances, as well as her animals. On 10/17/19, Management at Therapyland (Cheri Brooks-COO, Thane Brooks-CEO, Carly Morrison-VP & Clinic Manager, Georgia Beauregard-BCBA & Clinic Manager) terminated this employee because she requested to arrive 30mins late to work. Even with this tragic loss she still managed to gather the strength and volition to attend work the following day, with no belongings, no home, and no place to provide for her or her daughters own self-care needs. For Cheri and Thane to be parents of a child with Autism and for Carly and Georgia, who not only treat but also supervise these children with very special needs; I am sickened, saddened and appalled by the complete disregard and lack of empathy they consistently show to other human beings. If you are a parent or have been with Therapyland for an extended amount of time. I am sure that you are well aware and have experienced some or many disruptions and changes to your child’s therapist. If you’re wondering why the website no longer displays pictures and personal descriptions of its Therapy staff, it is because the turnover rate at Therapyland is so high. It now only portrays pictures and descriptions for management staff only. Management will consistently tell parents that these changes are to provide their child with opportunities and practices to transition in their natural environments. However, that is not the case.

Now it’s double that if not more bc of the work they’ve done already with him. I love the one on one bc it focus on that one child versus a classroom setting where children sometime lose that extra help or interaction bc so many other children need help as well. I am observing this and writing to parents. DO not place your child here. Billing rates are insane and the highest I have ever seen...anywhere. Everything is about MONEY. If a child is sick, they will not tell you, alot of unvaccinated kiddos here and there is always an outbreak of something and the owners do not send notices to parents. I have seen everything here from scarlet fevers, streps, all type of respiratory illnesses. the goal is to keep the child to get the insurance payments by any means . they claim there is one on one care of each child but there are alot of aggressive kids here and since plenty of non verbal kids are here, they will not tell you that children sometimes have meltdowns and other kids hit or hurt one another. INSPECT your child for bruises, bumps etc everyday. i have seen children be hurt here and cannot express they were and it is due to careless staff. trust me on this. old toys, same teaching plans everyday. the goal as well is to get every single service your insurance will pay for even if the kid doesnt need it. like PT, feeding etc and get the max hours. The staff is not friendly to kids, they will not give them something to drink throughout the day to avoid them soiling their clothes and this is daycare...not intensive ABA. i have seen kids here be in a dirty diaper for hours until pickup time. check in without telling them you are coming for a visit, you will see a group of kids with one therapist. they will even do group speech without telling you but charge you insane rate for what your insurance thinks is individual. they even play youtube during speech here! you can play YouTube at home. it is a distraction. you would think they would have compassion as their kid is very severe but no, they dont. very tyrannical. they make no flexibility for working parents as majority dont have a live in nanny or businesses. very out of touch with reality. they do not care for your kiddo. if they are sick or injured , there is NO compassion, just attempts to get the time back or MONEY.the goal is to keep your child here forever. there is no goal of getting your child to mainstream school. they rather play cards than be intensive with the kids. it is hundreds of dollars per kid a day so.... please if you dont want your kiddo here forever find somewhere else. in home is the best option, I have been at this a long time, and most on the spectrum generalize and transition quicker in home. there are tons of options in georgia that charge less and will actually work with your child in real life issues at home and community for less!. they do not focus on helping the kids talk or learn to..but use old puzzles and toys. they are preying on you the parent that is desperate for help to pay exorbitant fees and work on their schedule. the therapists are not to talk to you. there is no aba graduation there..like at a majority of centers because guess what they do not graduate children!!. no child hardly ever graduates from therapyland..that is not their goal. but as a parent it should be yours. No parent should get minimal results for all that money you pay. I promise you, show up unexpectedly. if you love your child and want Progression send them elsewhere.

[CONTINUATION]My intention in writing this review is not solely to deter any parent from receiving services at Therapyland, but to communicate their lack or empathy or regard for others. Therapyland is successful from a business perspective for the reason that Cheri and Thane are business(men). They took out a million dollar loan to build 2 state of the art therapy facilities. They know how to make money; make money. However, even with having a child on the spectrum, they have no insight, professional education or continuing education as Therapist. For example, Thane continues to give parent tours around the facility (in which the OT room is usually freezing cold) and countlessly tells parents the temperature in this room is to provide sensory input and work on sensory stimulation). As a licensed, registered and certified SIOT, this is in fact not a fact at all (But he thinks it’s enticing and sounds good). Therapyland is success because of the quality of the therapist (OT, PT, SLP, and ABA) that work with these children 1:1 everyday. It would not be successful otherwise. Being that both Carly and Georgia are sub-par lead speech and behavior therapist themselves, who show feelings of fear and anxiety when dealing with children who may have increased behaviors. But also show a lack of expertise (not experience) in their own fields respectively. So again, I would like to emphasize and commend the actual staff who make Therapylands success possible.During my time at Therapyland, I observed a vast amount of mistreatment, unfairness and biased decision making. From experiencing your time off request being denied for the death of a family member, the sickness of a parent, or a monumentous occasion; while watching your Caucasian colleagues receive approvals for weeks at a time for much less; From being told that you need to separate yourself from other minorities in treatment rooms and walking to the next to observe 3-4 non-minority therapist and a management staff conversing and laughing in conversation, while none are being asked to separate; To enduring a life altering change and losing everything you own in a matter of an hour and being terminated the next day for tardiness. I also witness countless minorities give a professional 2-3 week letter of resignation due to mistreatment or observation of mistreatment to fellow colleagues, followed by immediate termination attached with false tardy or misconduct write-ups with meetings and situations that never occured. While several of my former Caucasion colleges were able to give a professional 2 week letter of resignation and graciously serve out their time without abrupt termination or seize of pay. The disenfranchisement goes on and on …With that being said, 70% of the staff at Therapyland are minorities. It is no surprise, that all of the aforementioned incidents were taken out upon only Black and Brown individuals. It fathoms me to understand why Cheri and Thane continue to hire minorities in masses, to not only later terminate them, but treat them less than of my former Caucasian colleagues.I would like to conclude with this message with - If you are a Black or Brown therapist. I would not advise working or applying for this company. Aside from the shiny state-of-the-art facilities, monthly pot-lucks and annual holiday parties. You will experience a lack of integrity, respect, mutualism, fairness and disenfranchisement in this environment. Your knowledge, experience, love and care will be graciously accepted, appreciated and acknowledged elsewhere. All children with special needs deserve to receive the best treatment and care as possible, as do the people who serve them.“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.”

Before we came to Therapyland, our daughter was struggling with swallowing and we were referred to an fantastic ENT. Shes doing much better and working on goals that were not attainable before. Thank you Carly. We have to give a shout out to our speech therapist Courtney, who has been hands down the best speech therapist we have ever had! Our daughters speech has improved significantly since working with Courtney and we are happy with her progress. Meredith is our OT and she is also amazing! She is very motivated to help our daughter be her best and to live life to the fullest by using therapeutic interventions. Meredith has a truly holistic approach. And we cant forget our PT, Nick. Nick is so patient and has been able to encourage our daughter to perform physical tasks that have been difficult in the past. And, even though she hates to exercise, Nick makes her sessions really fun. We appreciate the detailed progress notes completed weekly by each therapist so that we are able to monitor out daughters success. Thanks everyone for the wonderful job that you do!

I would recommend this place whole heartedly for anyone looking into ABA therapy, PT, ST and OT. It is run by owners who are thoroughly professional and care about both parents and children with autism and bring the latest and greatest therapies needed for children. A special shoutout to Clare , our PT therapist who has been working with our son for over a year and is responsible for great improvement in our son on PT goals. It also has a solid team of ABA therapists with great BCBAs who take great care of our kid.

Thearpyland is a answered prayer for our family. My son is 4 and diagnosed with autism. We searched for a long time to find the right place for him. After talking with a couple of people we decided to make the drive to thearpyland for a tour. Which is about a hour and fifteenth minutes from where we live. After meeting with the owner and some of the staff we were so impressed we decided to start therapy here. Before starting at Therapyland my son was in his own world and little to no eye contact, speech, or interaction with others. Now he is present, he follow directions, waves hi and bye and so much more. He is even trying new foods. His lauange is exploding! I cant believe what they done for him. We will be going to thearpyland as long as they will have us! A huge bonus they have a great parent Lounge where you can work or sit and talk with others parents who understand what your are going thru. The only downfall I can say is.... I wish we would have started sooner!

I cant say enough good things about Therapyland and their staff! When we started on this journey with our daughter we were overwhelmed and lost. We had looked into several places for therapy services but none of them compared to Therapyland. I immediately knew from the moment I spoke with the staff regarding my daughters needs that this is where she needed to be. We drive over an hour each way several times a week because of the excellent care our daughter receives with her therapists Courtney and Tasha. We have already seen so much progress in such a short amount of time. We have definitely found our home at Therapyland for our sweet girl and I am so grateful to her therapists and all the staff for giving us hope and being so wonderful with our daughter!

My daughter, who is 7, has been going to going Therapyland for the last 6 months. She has had MANY therapists and been to many therapy centers over the years but this place has been the best. From the moment you walk in- you feel and SEE the difference. Irma, the receptionist, always has a smile and a warm welcome for you and your child by name. My daughter has made great gains in her speech, thanks to Meagan- her amazing speech therspist and her ABA team...ABA right here in Alpharetta! Nick, her PT, suggested Thera-togs, which have helped her gait. As soon as my daughter sees Corina, her OT, her whole face lights up. As a parent, you know how important therapy is- but to see your child ENJOYING it, is priceless. My daughters team, as well as the facility over at Therapyland, has been fantastic!

We started this journey 4 years ago when our son was diagnosed with autism. We didnt know where to start or what to do. We were told that we needed to start therapies right away. We started to do our research and find out the best places in town for all the therapies that our son needed. My wife took two years off work to drive all around Atlanta for therapies. She was exhausted driving him around. We were tired of fighting with the school system. We dreamed about a place where our son could get everything in one place. That was where Therapyland came in. We trusted and loved the therapy director, Sandi Rivers, because she had worked with our son and cared so much for him. We found the rest of the therapist also cared so much for our son, and loved what they do. Therapyland has done an amazing job with our son. All of his therapists have been great and he is making such great progress. Our life has changed so much for the better because we are not driving all over the place any more. All his therapists work together to have a common goal and strategy. Successful techniques are reinforced by each therapist. We have peace of mind that he is in good hands. The administration is wonderful and the owners have an autistic child and know what we are going through. We love Therapyland and are grateful that it exists. We highly recommend Therapyland to anyone whose child can benefit from their services.

My twins have been at Therapyland for almost 2 years. They have worked with caring individuals and enjoyed the activities that make the program fun. I highly recommend Victoria Mitchell who has been amazing for primitive reflex integration in OT, she has extensive training in this field and we are thrilled to work with her. Megan our speech therapist has worked extra hard to support the boys and their AAC devices.. I especially love how supportive the owners have been of the community at large sponsoring events such as the recent TACA conference for families with autism. We are grateful to be at Therapyland and not having to drive to multiple practices since everything is under one roof. Thank you so much for all that you do, we appreciate the whole staff. Sincerely, Carolyn S.

My nephew was recently diagnosed with being on the autism spectrum. We were clueless as to what to do. He needed therapy services; however, we didnt know where to begin, where to go, who was good, would we be able to afford it, etc.On the day of his diagnosis, his psychologist told me about Therapyland. Therapyland has only been open for just over a year. However, its already one of the best facilities in GA from which anyone could ever hope to receive help.Therapyland is a 12,000 sq ft facility that offers pediatric developmental services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and applied behavioral analysis therapy. The owner, Thane, meets with every interested parent. He is very patient and because his daughter is also autistic, understands exactly what parents of diagnosed children are experiencing. He then takes you on a tour of the facility, which is nothing short of amazing! You MUST check out the sensory room! Youll wish you could have one in your home, guaranteed! Also, check out the parent lounge. It was created just for parents to have a quiet place to relax or get some work done! All of his staff members and therapists are extremely knowledgeable and personable. Irma is very personable and a joy to communicate with. Angie, the billing manager, is patient, understanding, and a joy to work with (unlike many other medical billing offices Ive encountered). Cheri works hard to accommodate scheduling needs of parents. The BCBAs and ABA therapists are amazing and makes it their personal goal to see that the children under their care succeed. The hosts of therapists that help my nephew achieve new goals (many of which share the same name haha) the Kellys, Courtneys, Meredith, Clare, and even the ones Ive only seen on occasion (as they speak with other parents in the lobby), are all amazing as professionals and as individuals. In case you cant tell, I cant say enough amazing things about this facility.Therapyland offers a 1:1 ratio. Each child is assigned his/her very own therapist for the time that he/she is receiving services at Therapyland. My nephew (who is usually apprehensive around strangers and have major separation anxiety) quickly became acclimated to not only his own personal therapists but the other therapists that work closely around him.His therapists not only update me with what my nephew learned that day and any improvements shown, they also follow up with emailed (and very detailed) reports. Theres also a system that parents can access for ABA therapy where the taught skills are tracked via charts and graphs!I cant say enough wonderful things about Therapyland and its staff. I love the carnival theme of the office. I go to Therapyland every day for my nephew and I get to see the same parents and children each day. Everyone has nothing but great things to say and the children love it!If your child has recently been diagnosed with autism or is otherwise in need of speech, occupational, physical, or ABA therapy, I implore you to check out Therapyland. Just make an appointment to take the tour... you have nothing to lose and you WILL NOT regret it! Enrolling my nephew there was the best decision I could have made for him. He deserves the best and Therapyland is it!As a final note, I recently met with a doctor at the Marcus Autism Center, even she was impressed with what Therapyland had to offer. Get in on this amazing facility while its still up and coming. Later, when the word really gets out (and it will), youll be thankful you got in early!
